Typical Chicago neighborhood shop/gem. We went on a cold Saturday afternoon at 330 pm. There was a line of atleast 10 people ahead of us. Service was fast, food delicious!! We tried pizza pasta, sandwiches lemon chicken, Tiramisu and eggplant dish. Everything was on point. Food was rich, buttery. Please dont go if you are on a diet. The owners wife came to the seating are multiple times spoke to every table and made every one feel so welcome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the food but more than that the whole experience makes you feel you are in Italy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Finally made it in (with cash this time). Looks like and is a neighborhood Italian Deli/ grocery store / Pizza joint/ Gelato shop! Friendly staff and service is spot on! Had to decide what I wanted to try. Ordered the Italian Prosciutto "Sangwish" ordered the traditional hard roll crust. Did not disappoint. Next visit (With Cash) I'll try their Pizza selections. Mangia, Cheers & Nazdrowie!

    One of three chicken choices.

Love love love this place! The only thing I wish I could change is it being CASH ONLY because we hardly ever carry cash and we usually want all the things. We walked out today with two arancinis, a packet of 10 frozen meatballs, and a hearty beef lasagna. The server was nice and threw in some bread. Total with a small tip was $40. We did NOT get gelato or at least one slice of pizza but that's what we would have done if we had more cash. The staff is friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Be prepared. We went at 530 pm to beat the crowd but there was a good group of peeps who had the same idea.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We enjoyed 2/3 of the lasagne when we got home after a quick reheat and supplement of some garlic bread. Tomorrow we'll have the arancinis before the steak I plan to cook up. BB will enjoy any leftovers for lunch later this week. Staff is friendly. Stop at the ATM so you can get all the things.

Freddy's has been around since the late '60s, and the place is 2-fold; one side of the building is your typical Italian mart with meats, pastas, pies, and desserts, while the adjacent space is a 'dine-in' area. We came here for an early lunch, and we ordered: +a Suppli - a rice ball filled with spinach and cheese; this was a little too bland for me, and more rice-filled than the spinach and cheese +Gnocchi - ricotta cheese-filled gnocchi in a vodka sauce; while the gnocchi was pillowy, it was a bit overcooked, so it was too mushy; wasn't a fan of the vodka sauce +a slice of a a margherita (thick crust) - just too bread-y; this was just okay +and, a slice of a sausage (thick crust) - more on the saltier end due to the sausage; crust was just okay I did like the fact that they heat up items for you, and they do come out piping hot. Staff were pretty friendly and helpful, and they're pretty efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place itself is cute, and I liked looking through their small market area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is definitely a popular spot, as people kept coming in to get food to go, get food to eat next door, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] +friendly service +street parking available

Very good and fulfilling pizza. I would definitely go back there. They got some other stuff too, that might be worth trying.

I was in the area and needed my Freddies fix. The food is homemade and I have never been disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My tip is to come early, parking and seating is limited.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place is the bomb. Everything is excellent. That's the one problem, you walk in and order right to left. I have missed so many things because I ordered so much already. Like the pizza it's far left. I never tried it. Freddy's is a hidden treasure. It might be in Cicero but it's a Chicagoland gem

Our Patas Bravas dish did come out a little late so we were not able to enjoy it as much since we were getting full, but it tasted heavenly with the dipping sauce. I would come back for more next time.

The food and drinks were excellent, a nice blend of latin/Spanish and Italian. Everything was well presented. The tropical mezcal cocktail was a great cocktail that is perfect for summer - moderately sweet and citrusy with the Smoky essence. The crispy octopus was unique and flavorful. My entrée was the house gnocchi. The gnocchi is made with beef short rib. Honestly, the best gnocchi that I have ever had. I paired it with a Primitivo, which was amazing by itself but was slightly too sweet for the gnocchi. I wound up getting a key lime cheesecake. It was a beautiful slice. The service was impressive. The place looks upscale but I was made to feel comfortable despite being casually dressed. Everyone treated me with kindness and and respect. They earned return visits.

The restaurant is teeny, tiny. The are 2 booths, one on each side of the wine cooler. 2 adults cannot sit comfortably on one side ~ 1 adult and 1 child is the max. Also, at the booths, the table is very far away from the bench. You have to move forward to the front edge of the bench to eat over the table. They are a BIG miss ~ so I recommend avoiding them. However, the rest of the tables are on top of one another, so do not expect to have a private, quiet conversation, while not being bumped by a server or someone trying to leave their table. Saturday night was packed with people waiting, standing right over the tables closest to the door. I know nothing can be done to accommodate as many diners as possible. Do not expect the usual Italian meal. Do not go hungry because no one leaves with a doggie bag. A side of asparagus consisted of 4 small spears for $10. A lot of fish on the menu. New to me, balsamic drizzled on top of your vanilla gelato as dessert. The "special" guava cheesecake was special because it consisted of pastry shells with whipped cream not a forkful of cheesecake to be found. Food was good, service was excellent, most interesting interpretation of Italian fusion.

The bread service was fantastic. The tomato focaccia and the baguette were both excellent and I had to remind myself not to fill up on it before the main meal! LOL! We started with the calamari which was very well seasoned and clearly not the typical frozen version you often see from foodservice distributors. It tasted fresh, was crispy, and well prepared. For dinner I ordered the margherita pizza which was simple and delicious. I ended up ordering a second one to-go for my partner who couldn't make it to dinner. He also loved it - even after it sat for ~30 min or so while we chatted more, then drove home to the Maywood area. I would imagine their delivery is pretty good based on that! My mom had the rigatoni vodka with added crumbled Italian sausage which she loved, and my dad ordered the Marcelino. He loved the generous amount of seafood and how well seasoned it was. My parents are big wine drinkers and my dad was especially impressed with the wine list and the selection available. Oscar was an incredible server!! He struck the perfect balance of being attentive while still letting us enjoy a relaxed, unhurried evening. The support staff and food runners were also fantastic and very friendly, making the entire service experience feel polished! I also loved the kitchen was more open which gives you confidence in the quality and care that goes into the food. The dining space is inviting with a nice bar area and an additional room that looks perfect for busy nights or private gatherings. Overall a great restaurant that we would absolutely return to!!

Calamari was perfectly breaded and tender, not chewy like most, and came with 3 dipping sauces. The meatballs were moist and covered in cheese and meat sauce. Entrees: the rigatoni bolognese was the fan favorite of the table! Also had the beet salad and pork tenderloin and all of them were 10/10. Dessert: Tiramisu, salted caramel gelato, and fried donuts.
