I ordered online the night before for pick up on my way to the airport. The location opens at 10:30 but they allowed me to sit and wait for my order prior them opening at 10:30. Cava is my favorite chain! It's fresh and allows you to customize based on how you're feeling/will be able to accommodate dietary requirements. I ordered the salad with half chicken and half lamb, a lot of toppings and the yogurt dill dressing. It was absolutely delicious!!! I wasn't a fan of Mediterranean Food. One day I decide to stop in Cava over in River Forest. I ordered the chicken bowl with jasmine rice, kale green salad, cucumbers and other veggies. There are a variety healthy options to fulfill your appetite. You can customize your preference with a bowl, salads or pitas. This place caught me by surprise with the delicious taste of eating right. This is what the doctor's has ordered me to eat. Healthier and Clean. Food is fine, cava has good options. But every time I've been there after like 7pm their customer service is just awful. No one acknowledges you for 5 straight mins, even with carry out. The line is 3 people deep and no one is getting served. They avoid eye contact, makes you feel like you're ruining their day just by being there. No one needs to love their job but the vibe at this one every time I've been there is just bad. A simple "we will be right with you" or something would go a looooong way. read more

I had Cava for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The harissa chicken bowl has lots of ingredients that blend together. I'd compare it to a Mediterranean Chipotle. The ingredients are fresh, colorful and all aesthetically pleasing. They come with a side pita or a purchasable whole soft pita. They have packaged cookies and brownies. Flavored drinks also. This was my first time at Cava and I had a great experience. I came in on a Saturday night so it was busy but I didn't have to wait in line that long. Cava has great options. I love Mediterranean food, so I was happy that Cava was coming to IL. I pretty much almost got every option in my bowl and don't regret it. The honey spicy chicken is addicting! I was not a fan of the falafel. The chickpeas aren't blended so when you bite into it, you're just biting into whole chickpeas which threw me off. Just a texture thing for me! My new favorite place lunch spot for work! There are many different sauces to try, make sure to add some chips with your bowl or pita! I would recommend to order using the app as this location gets crazy busy at 12 and the tables are filled by 10 after! You can't go wrong with the chicken or steak and all of the vegetables to add! It's also easier to order on the app or web as you can see all of the choices. Make sure you are sensible when you order as it's not cheap and can get pricey. Sauces are charged separately from the chips. You can get a snack combo, but it's a lot smaller than a regular order. I would recommend getting the chips as they are the star of the show, especially the Harissa chips! If you haven't tried this place yet and are a fan of their Mediterranean cuisine, stop in. Service is good, clean restaurant- however the food is not even subpar. My pita was so overfilled they could not wrap it correctly. By the time I was home to eat it- everything had fallen out. 1st Cava visit for me and I was impressed. Arrived about 1115am no line no wait. All topping looked fresh and ready for the day. Customer service was OK and the price was OK. I just came to this location to get a harissa chicken power bowl, and I was asking the girl making my bowl if there was garlic sauce. She kept saying something to me, but I just couldn't hear her because she was speaking so low, and she got a stank face and said it to me one more time, so I just said yes even though I didn't know wtf she was saying. She kept making my bowl and went over to the meat to get the chicken, and when she came back, I thought my bowl was looking a bit low compared to everybody else's. When the process moved onto the next lady to get the veggies, she looked at the bowl and said "where is the rest of the chicken?" The girl who had given me the stank face looked around like she had been caught and the other lady said "it's OK we won't tell anyone" and put more meat in my bowl. Thank you to that lady for actually giving me the chicken that I was due, but it's messed up that the first girl wanted to cheat me out of it just because I couldn't hear her, and she took it the wrong way or something. I wasn't implying she had an accent or anything like that, I literally just couldn't hear the words coming out of her mouth. Good chicken bowl though. read more

I went to this restaurant recently after the pastor of 2819 church in Atlanta mentioned it during one of his sermons. I am so pleased that I visited because the food was scrumptious!! In addition, the friendliness of the staff (Jake being one of them) is the reason that I will be a returning customer. I was extremely impressed with Oak Park manager BENJAMIN ANSONG who assisted me when I encountered difficulties while trying to enroll in your rewards program!! Great food but TERRIBLE SERVICE. It routinely takes 20 minutes to process through the line even when there are only three parties in front of you. Inexplicably, the staff fills dozens of online orders, leaving in-person clients to (interminably) wait in a line of three, rather than clear the in-person line first. Either the staff lacks executive functioning, or they are adhering to an assinine policy. It's also possible they are poorly trained.
