Ambiance - modern, open kitchen, offers area for dine in customers Service - line to order moved fairly quickly, I just wish the dine in tables were a little cleaner (a handful were dirty with food on it) Food - huge portions and love that you get to build your own bowl

I had Cava for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The harissa chicken bowl has lots of ingredients that blend together. I'd compare it to a Mediterranean Chipotle. The ingredients are fresh, colorful and all aesthetically pleasing. They come with a side pita or a purchasable whole soft pita. They have packaged cookies and brownies. Flavored drinks also. Street parking available.

This was my first time at Cava and I had a great experience. I came in on a Saturday night so it was busy but I didn't have to wait in line that long. Cava has great options. I love Mediterranean food, so I was happy that Cava was coming to IL. I pretty much almost got every option in my bowl and don't regret it. The honey spicy chicken is addicting! I was not a fan of the falafel. The chickpeas aren't blended so when you bite into it, you're just biting into whole chickpeas which threw me off. Just a texture thing for me! I also did not like their pita bread. I believe it is whole wheat pita so it doesn't taste as good as white pita. It was also cold and dry so I didn't eat it.

Came here for the first time with my sister for a late lunch. We both got a chicken and rice bowl. It was sooo good! We both enjoyed it a lot. Service was friendly, J.R was super nice and accommodating to any changes we might have wanted in our bowls. Will be back.

Custom made bowl included rice, spinach, honey chicken, falafel and garlic & lemon herb sauces

My bowl was custom made by me. It was yummy. Being a new customer to cava, I felt rushed in choosing my selections. Maybe it was me, I don't know. We will see next time lol. I gave 4 stars because of the pressure. Is that fair? I guess since it was my experience. Clean spot!

The 1 inch brownies for $3 are ridiculous. It looks like the samples that Nothing Bundt Cake pass out.

Food gets worse every visit, worker turnover is insane. Seems like they're always scrambling to get things done, very chaotic.

Super disappointed. My salad was greasy, under-portioned and bland. The pickled onions were heavy on sugar and light on vinegar.

This time, the spinach lasagna portion was extremely small. It certainly wasn't worth $15.95 and barely took up half the container; it looked sad sitting in one corner. I usually get two dinners from the lasagna ... not this time. I weighed the lasagnas; the spinach was nearly 4 ounces less than the meat. If your kitchen was running out of spinach lasagna, they should have said so instead of putting an undersized piece in the order. An email to Pompei went unanswered. Look at the attached photos, then remind staff that portions should be the same ... and if there isn't enough, then you don't sell the little piece or you cut the price in half, too. Spouse should either get a free half portion on his next visit or be refunded $8 to his credit card.

I tried an onion, everything, and jalapeño cheddar and I loved all three. I highly recommend any of the breakfast bagel sandwiches. My boyfriend and I split the liver plate and it was amazing. I find it hard to find great liver and this place has some! If you like liverwurst you will like this plate. We got it with an onion bagel. We got bagel chips while we waited and sipped on coffee and looking back I wish I grabbed a few extra bagels to go to try more of the variety they had since the assorted chips were so good. The staff was amazing; being warm and welcoming like we had been going there for years. The interior was beautiful and made you feel at home. Welcoming, comfortable, and the kind of place that makes you want to become a regular. Everything we've tried has been excellent.
