This place hits all the cravings in the best way possible. My go-to order? The kosher hot dog. The beauty is you can pile on as many toppings as your heart desires. For me, it's all about onions, peppers, mushrooms, ketchup, and mustard--seriously, to die for. And if you're absolutely starving, go for the Double Dog. Trust me, it's a game-changer. Now let's talk fries. These aren't your average fries--they're Idaho peanut-fried beauties, crispy, golden, and everything you want in a fry. Honestly, they're just as good (if not better) than Five Guys. Add their Z Sauce, and boom--you're in fry heaven. Dip your fries, slather your hot dog in it, whatever--you'll be obsessed. Unlike most of you in DC, I had an unexpectedly fantastic election night thanks to Peter Tabibian and Z Burger (P Street). As a Marine combat veteran from the war in Afghanistan (Marjah Afghanistan 2010) I am fascinated by the US government, flaws and all. I am new to the area and live in Northern VA so I decided to get a hotel in DC to experience election night there for the first time. To my dismay the city was completely dead when I finally made it out. I assumed I would be able to find food but nearly everything was closed! After not eating anything all day, panic began to set in. While in an Uber I saw Z Burger and an adjacent bar. I stopped my ride on the spot and headed inside. Upon entering the restaurant, Peter was the first person I encountered. He informed me they had actually been closed for nearly an hour at that point. Seeing the excitement in my eyes turn to utter disappointment, he offered to make me fries on the house. He then proceeded to make me a chicken sandwich with the fries. Anyone who has eaten at this restaurant knows the food is fantastic. That being said, the review I wish to give is a review of the person I met that night, Peter Tabibian. Peter is a kind, generous, and talented man who saw a person in need and chose to make a difference in at least one persons life that night, mine. To me, the best gift one can give is to restore someones faith in humanity. Peter, you gave me that gift and I am deeply thankful. Please support this man and his employees. My husband and I just ordered dinner from Z Burger. it was fabulous! The restaurant is bright and clean. The staff was beyond friendly and the food was delicious! The first time my husband ordered something, he wasn't totally thrilled with it. To start off the service was amazing. They gave me extra sauces free of charge and let me add to my order even after I ordered. Secondly the food here is amazing. The burgers were freshly made and didn't take long to cook and the seasoned fries were amazing. Their shake choices are also incredible as they have a crazy amount of flavors to choose from, choosing what to get took a while and when the order came through it satisfied. It's been a while since I have had great authentic Iranian foods and keep hearing about Maman Joon kitchen, even though I live and work in Annapolis I took a drive to McLean to one of their newest location and it was well worth the drive, I haven't had such delicious food since my dear Maman passed away. Nice place. Folks are friendly and made an effort to get to know us. Good options for kids (Z-Burger) and adults with gluten issues (Maman Joon) under the same roof. Hot dogs, fries, and koobideh with salad were delicious. We have been there 2x between 4pm - 5:30pm so active, but not crowded. read more
