The burger wars have bored me. There are so many chains. Z Burger in McLean is solid. Is it expensive? Absolutely but it is in perhaps, the richest part of northern Virginia. One area that sticks out, is how fresh their never frozen beef is. A quite tasty burger, lots of fries. Definitely try one of their real ice cream shakes. Impressive! Extremely friendly employees. The customer service aspect is incredible. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Props also on an extremely clean dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As long as you remember a little pricey, you are getting good quality here. They are better than the, handful of Shake Shacks popping up everywhere. I'd like to applaud this place, as a fun change to a traditionally stodgy area. Definitely will be back!

Excellent spot in for fries and a milkshake. Unfortunately not the best burger. Visited for dinner on a Wednesday. Ordered a single cheeseburger, fries to share, and a concrete. The burger pros: I liked that there were so many toppings to choose from and the toasted bun is perfection. The burger cons: the patty is very thin and my husband and I both got a very dry one. We needed extra Zsauce to make it tolerable. I recommend that any adult or teenager order a double. The fries were excellent!! You can tell they were freshly made. The concrete we got was also amazing. These items alone will probably get me in the door in the future.

Chicken Philly cheesesteaks is a great value as the toppings are piled on a large amount of meat.a little messy to eat so be prepared.

When I have a craving for a cheese steak I prefer this place to Santinis up the street. It is both messy and satisfying like how I like my cheesesteaks

I m glad this place opened here because McLean really needed a burger place. The cheese burger with z sauce was delicious and it tasted like in-n-out burger! My husband had a fried chicken sandwich and he was very satisfied too! I ll try their Iranian food and update their review! :)

We were greeted and treated like family ! ! Food was perfect ! The kibedeh cooked to perfection along with chicken! The burger was homemade and delicious! The pita bread was warm and all the food was fresh ! We will definitely come back again !! Thank you so much

We started with the scallops and then had the gnocchi and pesto pasta. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and you could really tell that it was house-made. They also have a tasting menu that looked amazing and is definitely on my list for next time. The service was wonderful too. Our waitress was so friendly and made the whole experience even better. The highlight of the meal was easily the carrot cake with honey salted ice cream. Hands down the best carrot cake and ice cream combo I've ever had. Would recommend!

What an incredible first experience at Evelyn Rose! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were…read morein for a great evening. As soon as we entered, General Manager Sam welcomed us like old friends. After we were seated, my wife asked if he had previously worked at The Dabney, and sure enough, that's where we recognized him from. It was great catching up as he shared what he'd been doing since then and how his dream had always been to open his own restaurant. Seeing that dream come to life made the evening feel even more special. The restaurant was busy (definitely make reservations), but we were able to enjoy cocktails while we waited for our table. My Grey Goose martini with bleu cheese olives was phenomenal and set the tone for the rest of the meal. We started with the Bison Tartare and the Ceviche. The bison tartare was leaner than traditional beef tartare, and the crispy chips added the perfect savory crunch. The ceviche was incredibly fresh and bright. For our entrées, I had the ribeye while my wife ordered the Dory. The ribeye was cooked perfectly--juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. My wife couldn't stop talking about how buttery and delicious the fish was. To finish the evening, we ordered the 100-Year Port Flight featuring 10-, 20-, 30-, and 40-year ports. Vertical tastings are such a fun way to experience how a wine evolves over time. The 40-year was absolutely outstanding, and the 20-year was another favorite. The 10-year was enjoyable but still showed its youthful character compared to the older vintages. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between upscale and relaxed. The main dining room can feel a little tight when the restaurant is full, while the bar area has a few TVs for anyone wanting to catch a game. One thoughtful touch that stood out was the women's restroom being stocked with amenities like hair ties and hair clips. We noticed they also offer a tasting menu, and after this experience, that's already on our list for our next visit. Between the outstanding hospitality, exceptional food, excellent cocktails, and welcoming atmosphere, Evelyn Rose absolutely earned five stars.
