They have a very large menu so it's worth looking up the menu ahead of time. I ended up ordering some edamame and the dragon roll with some green tea. The tea was extremely hot so be careful. Drinks : We ordered the strawberry flavor sake. It was toward the fruity sweet side but very easy to drink. Food: Like mentioned above, food is very fresh if you like nigiri!below are some food we ordered: 1. avocado cucumber salad with ginger dressing- vegetable is fresh and dressing is like what you would expect from a ginger dressing 2. Tuna tartare with chips - This starter is so flavorful with crunchy tempura and tuna mixed with sweet mayo cream. It's a pretty big portion good for sharing 3. Nigiri : Sweet shrimp - with friend head ( good texture !), Yellowtail , toro, Uni (sea urchin), salmon with creamy onion tobiko, (everything we ordered is exceptional!) This by far the best sushi in Atlanta. For those that love traditional japanese food, highly recommend the nigiri with california roll, shrimp tempura, chirashi, sashimi. For those that love speciality rolls this is also a great place. I personally recommend salmon lemon, yellowtail delight, albacore delight are a perfect cross of sashimi on rolls with the perfect balance of flavor. So this was the 2nd time I've been here, and my experience was so much better than the first time! The rolls I got were the Dragon Roll, Alaskan Roll, and Yellowtail Delight Roll. ALL of them were soooooo good!! *Dragon roll: cooked roll with crispy eel, avocado, sweet eel sauce, crab meat *Alaskan roll: fresh roll with spicy tuna and shrimp mixture in the middle and topped with salmon and a sesame sauce *Yellowtail Delight roll: yellowtail in the middle topped with yellowtail and yuzu sauce, scallions, jalapenos The yellowtail delight roll was sour because of the citrus in the yuzu sauce and also spicy because of the jalapenos, and it was both fresh and delicious! My favorite out of the 3! The dragon roll helped to balance that citrus flavor because it was sweet and creamy. I was ecstatic when i found out they returned to the area as Yuzu sushi! Walking in, my jaw absolutely dropped. This place is STUNNING! Such a beautiful space - it's the perfect blend of sleek modernity with delicate Japanese florals and artwork. The sushi counter is unreal - everything is on beautiful display and looks so fresh and tempting. And the best part? Y'ALL REMEMBERED ME!!! You were the first business to recognize my yelping and I was flattered that after all these years, you still remembered me. It made my heart sing. But what's even better? The delightful food! I was there with a group from work and we ooooh'd and ahhhhh'd over the decor, the menu, and our delicious food. We had edamame and seaweed salad and of course i had to have my beloved 911 roll, which was everything I remembered it to be. We also loved shrimp killer 1, which is a triumph of exquisite flavors on a plate! Delicious tuna with crunchy cucumber and creamy avocado with shrimp. Yum yum yum. I wish I could give you a one more star. I like the decore it's modern clean Japanese style decor and service was attentive. I think it's a good spot for fusion style sushi. Not for authentic experience of Japanese style. If that's what you are looking for go to Shoya. Get authentic mackerel sushi there. Yuzu had a sweet graze on top of mackerel that I don't think it quite went well together. Salmon nigiri was pretty good though. We had fried oysters and octopus salad was good. It just seems both dish were little bit on sweeter side of seasoning. One thing to note though is they had extensive sake menu that was impressive. I tried their Yuzu beer which is very rare that I have not even seen in japan either. Maybe a good spot to try different sake! Use it more like a sake bar spot. Yuzu beer was pretty interesting! *rounding down from 3.5 stars* I would recommend Yuzu as a decent date spot. The restaurant looks very neat (as in shiny-new and uncluttered) yet has a small, cozy vibe to it because it's a smaller space. The food and service were good, but the menu is priced higher than similar spots.. for example, their California roll is $6.80, and spicy tuna roll and philly roll are both $8.80 each -- roughly 20% more expensive than places of equal sushi quality footing which is why I'm giving Yuzu 3 stars. Food -- we ordered a shrimp tempura appetizer ($8.50), sashimi platter ($24.90), crunch rainbow roll ($14.90) and salmon delight roll ($16.50). The shrimp appetizer comes with 2 shrimps and 4 vegetable pieces. The shrimp was ok, but the vegetables were better. The sushi and sashimi were really good! But for paying a 20% premium, I'm not sure if it's worth it. Have y'all been to Sam's sushi or Doshi sushi in Duluth? Or Gangnam on Buford highway? Very similar in quality, yet more expensive. It's actually surprisingly more expensive than shoya and ginya. So I'd probably rather go someplace else, and order more items with the savings. Ambience and service -- I've been judging Yuzu real hard over how much they charge, but the location is in a neatly designed mixed use area in Chamblee, and the space is very clean and nicely decorated. I've been here twice in the last month. This Sushi spot is really delicious! Not to mention they have a 100 health score! FOOD: I tried something new both times coming here. Everything I've eaten has been delicious. I don't even like tuna, but their spicy tuna rolls are so good. They have and extensive menu and can even customize the sushi if you want (I went with someone who didn't like cucumbers so they were able to remove it from all the sushi). You can go wrong with the crab or shrimp sushi either, which are my go-to's. I don't like to gamble with raw fish most of the time so their cooked sushi menu is something I appreciate. ATMOSPHERE: This restaurant has a clean upscale vibe to it. There are traditional paintings all throughout and the lighting is dimmed to set the mood. The feel is versatile. You could bring a date here or have a small meet up with friends. I wouldn't recommend bringing a loud group here. It's a calm environment and you would definitely stand out. SERVICE: The service leaves nothing to be desired. They are extremely friendly. They check in on the table often and give advice and personal references to what sushi they would recommend. The waiters act like a team. Both times we had multiple employees check in with us for multiple reasons. The food comes out fast. We weren't even done with our appetizers and they were bringing out our entree! PARKING: There is free self-serve parking right outside the restaurant. There's more than plenty. I am a sushi-holic! Typically I venture to The One in brookhaven but my group of girls and I are always on the look out for new options! This spot was a winner for sure. Cute atmosphere, low prices, and great selection! This spot offers more than just rolls, you can get a full plate of duck or chicken if you'd prefer (which is nice because one of our friends doesn't eat sushi!) Yuzu Sushi is new to my neighborhood. I love love the architecture of this establishment with its Japanese motifs. It actually feels like asia and presents itself with its expansive menu. I settled for salmon sushi and a shrimp tempura roll. Something about sushi makes me feel healthy even though 7 hours ago I purged on 2 cups of coffee and a lil debbies honey bun. Just sayin. Fish products- extremely clean smelling with no odor and the coloring of my salmon was nice!! Very good portions sitting on top of rice!! Shrimp Tempura Roll- these you can tell were prepared with a hug from the Lord. They were not deep battered fried coated. They were petite bite sized with fresh crispy shrimp and a really nice rice covering. I really liked this and it filled me up. Drink Menu- so this might be the only thing I found a little "off". The wines, sake, plum wines were very pricey but I like plum wine and sake with my sushi. It seals the deal. General- the staff, Manager, and waitstaff were impeccable with their service and smiles!! It's in the newly developed shopping strip by the Wal-Mart in Chamblee. I had high hopes, but came out a little disappointed. Because of COVID, we were the only seated patrons on a weekday evening. Naturally, not hard to social distance if there wasn't any other party there. So, of course, the servers were very timely and attentive. No complaints in that regard. My main gripe is that their sushi offerings were quite average. I think we got a few specialty rolls (quite generous in portion size), as well as a few a la carte pieces like salmon and tamago. The taste was solid, but nothing exceptional. It's what you'd expect from a majority of sushi joints in town. Now, I would be fine with average if it weren't for the price. Without drinks or tip, our bill for 2 was already past $70. I could go 10 mins down the road, get take out at Yokohama, and pay at least $20 less, maybe more. I'm so glad Yuzu opened up in Chamblee! The owners used to run Sushi Mania in Johns Creek, which had the best rolls in the area but was very out of the way from where I live now. I usually eat nigiri/ sashimi rather than rolls, but I'm a sucker for the owners' rolls because they're huge and are of great quality. My three friends and I met up since we're all back home from college, and we shared a gyoza appetizer and 4 rolls. We had the Crunch Rainbow, Kiss of Fire, Salmon Lemon, and Shrimp Killer II. Each was cut into eight pieces and was stuffed. The prices are a bit higher than your run of mill sushi restaurant, but they definitely give you your money's worth plus everything is fresh and very unique. If I had to choose my favorite, it'd be the Crunch Rainbow roll because it has such great contrasting textures. I like the Kiss of Fire because it's topped with tuna and tomato that surprisingly complement each other very well. That being said, they've crafted a great menu that speaks well to their ability to identify good flavor profiles and listen to their customers' preferences. The portions are huge, and even though we usually eat tons of food, we had leftovers. Aside from the food, the interior is well-designed and very cute. One of my favorite sushi/sashimi places in ATL! This place is located across from the Chamblee Walmart so downtown Chamblee area-ish, downstairs from some condos/apartments. The inside of the restaurant is quite small but still spacious. Interior design is really cute! You can also see the sushi chefs working their magic right up front. I ordered the double tuna roll.
