Salad with ginger dressing

Stopped here for lunch. The restaurant is small, buy clean with a relaxing simple decor. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was DELICIOUS and average in price. We will definitely be coming back here.

Rainbow roll to-go

Ordered sushi to-go/pickup while in town for work. The sushi was good and I highly recommend the "white yum yum sauce" I'm not sure what's in it but it's delicious and would be perfect on some fried rice! The reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of portion vs price. I ordered 1 rainbow roll (6 pieces), 2 orders of Salmon Sashimi (2 pieces per order), and a side of edamame and it was almost $30! I eat sushi often so I know it's not the cheapest cuisine but $30 for what was essentially 10 pieces of sushi seemed a little overpriced to me. For that I expected the sushi roll to be much bigger. But aside from that everything I got was good. I probably wouldn't order the salmon Sashimi again through. It was a thick but which was nice but it was a little fishy and had a greasy liquid on it so I'm not confident in how fresh it was.

One of the only options worth going to for sushi in Bloomington/Normal. I have had the following: Mt. Fuji Roll - 9/10 Hot Mama Roll -7/10 Monster Roll - 8/10 Spicy Lover Roll - 7/10 YUMZ Roll - 6/10 What's Up Roll - 6/10 Paradise Roll -8/10 Mexican Roll - 6/10 Pepsi - 9/10 Location isn't great but that's just me being picky. Not a whole lot of seating so on the weekends you could wait a bit. Carry out is a good option. Honestly it would get 5 stars but nothing has taken my breath away to earn it.

Beef broccoli lunch special. Pass.

Sometimes I look at a place that has bad Yelp reviews and I ignore it. Everytime I do this I always regret my decision and swear I will never go against Yelp again. This is a perfect example of that. If you only trust one thing in this world-trust Yelp. Also, trust me and Yelp when we advise you NOT to eat here. For real. For $9 I had the lunch special of steak and broccoli. The fried rice was actually really good. The egg roll was a disgrace to eggrolls everywhere. Overcooked is putting it nicely. It was also the most pathetic eggroll that has every entered my mouth. The hot and sour soup was awful and barely warm. The beef and broccoli entree wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. The steak was extremely chewy and the sauce was excessive compared to the amount of actual food on the plate. Save your money. Save your time. Save some calories. Surely Bloomington has another place to satisfy your Chinese food craving.

Decent food at a decent price. My fiance and I really enjoy this place. The serving sizes are good for the price. I also really like their green tea (very "earthly", almost matcha- like) The sushi is good, the entrees are great, and the soups are fun. Plus they have sushi tacos, which one day, we will be bold enough to try.

I knew it was a stretch to get sushi in the Midwest, but decided to give it a go since this place had all you can eat. First off, the price was awful for not even having access to the whole sushi menu. It's cheaper is Scottsdale, AZ so that's saying a lot. The quality of the fish wasn't awful, but there was so little of it you could hardly tell compared to the MASSIVE amount of rice they used. Each roll had enough rice on it for 2 rolls. Not sure where there sushi maker was taught but it was as bad as I've ever had. That's about all that needs to be said. Made it impossible to enjoy. Server was cool. I will never go back.

Highly recommend! Amazing food, large portions, and wonderful customer service. The sushi is very fresh. Lots of great bento box options. And yummy desert menu, I recommend the mochi

receipt for a single person.

Overall, it is an awful experience. Food is below par, price is very high given that quality. Service is no where come close to make customer satisfied. Basically, regardless of your request and feedback, pay us full price, meanwhile, you HAVE TO eat all crappy food otherwise, penalty is charged. Food: sushi rice is very dried, roasted seaweed wrap is so hard to chew, that taste like rubber band. Fish is not fresh, that has been sat out for a long while that tastes dry and dead. By the time you have your 4th pieces, your stomach is literally full from the tough rice or loss all your appetite. If you know blo-no well, I would say their sushi quality is similar or worse than hibachi grill. worse than imperial buffet. and a lot worse than anju above. Service and management: Waitress are new, understandable that they don't have much knowledge on the menu, at least nice attitude. Store manager was bad though, she argues with customers, tell you if you don't like it, too bad! They charge you penalty if you can't eat it simply because of the bad quality. They tell you :"You HAVE TO eat this whole piece, otherwise, you are charged with penalty." Basically, they are telling customers 'too bad, that you have a reasonable taste and standard for food and services you are looking for, pay full price, and leave!' Price: it is $21 for all you can eat sushi. It is not all you can eat, there are various of limitations. Those limitation goes to $26 option. So, you can't eat as much as sashimi as you want. You can actually have 4 pieces per item. They are basically not honest about their selling point. Waitress asked me if I want anything to drink, I said tea is fine. You would assume that tea is included in all you can eat. NO! you are wrong. They will charge you 3 dollars for a cup of tea. It is outrageous. I wish this place can be better. Otherwise, I would really suggest you find you a better place to spend your precious time and money. You are not getting happiness back from this restaurant.

These are really good sized portions of sushi from the all you can eat menu.

Delicious food - will come back again. Had the steak teriyaki bento box and it was a nice sampling with the appetizer and a roll.

The place is very clean and contemporary. Very on brand for a place like this. It anchors the end of a strip mall, and is kind of tucked back out of the way, but it's a good sized space, and we dined on a Saturday night. It was full, but we only waited about 5 minutes for a booth. Our server did and great job of explaining how it all works, and even thought they don't bring you any food, she was right there for our drink refills, and was available if we had any questions about anything. So it's a fixed price for plates off the conveyor belt. $3.50/plate. This includes sushi, hot and cold appetizers and desserts. Just know that any plate, no matter what's on it, is $3.50. So whether you grab chucks of canned pineapple or a rainbow roll - it's $3.50. There's other items on the iPad you can order that have different price points, and if you miss something you wanted on the conveyor belt, and you don't want to wait for it to come back around, you can order it off the iPad and the cool little car will bring it right to your table. It's still $3.50 too. When you're done with your plates, you deposit them into a slot at the end of the table and it counts it and adds it to your bill on the iPad. Pretty easy. Every 12 plates your deposit allows you to play a 50/50 game on the iPad. We got to 12, but didn't win... which is fine. Sooooooo..... how about the food?!? Strip mall sushi is hit and miss. Especially in Chicago and surrounding burbs. There are some really great sushi places that are very unassuming. And there are others that are a "one and done". We've never had any other sushi in Bloomington/Normal, so we don't have much to compare this to. It was all very good. Often times at "gimmicky" places like this, you don't get the highest quality product because they are relying on the novelty to keep you coming back. Good news though, because the sushi at Kobe Revolving really does stand on its own. It's not the best sushi I've ever had, but it's very good - which is more than I expected when we walked in.

But that being said there were a lot of GREAT things about this restaurant so I'll start there. The restaurant itself it's so moody and vibey I LOVED it, was such a good place for a date night, our waiter was so attentive, helped with all of our questions and a very patient with us as we worked through the menu. 10/10 service! We got the dumpling and pork bun appetizer and both were AMAZING, seriously the pork bun?? I could have eaten 1000 of them. Next was the sushi, I got the Atlantic hand roll and another member of the table got the rainbow roll, both were very fresh and flavorful, highly recommend. Next was the entree, I got the pork belly ramen, as a huge ramen fanatic I was SO excited, especially following up our appetizers, the bar was set high and unfortunately I was so disappointed. The broth was not very good and everything so extremely salty, I couldn't even eat the mushrooms in the bowl because they soaked up so much of the broth and it was like a salt bomb in my mouth. The pork belly was cooked well and I did really enjoy that, but for a $20 bowl of ramen, it really fell flat for me. I also got the sweet heat cocktail, and it also wasn't for me, cocktails are so personal so it's not that I wouldn't recommend someone try it, it's just that I didn't hit for me, and that was the general consensus of the table. While I had a great night, I would probably try a different restaurant for Asian food before I came back to this one!

First it was the Chicago-style Italian beef with giardineira, then the spicy beef birria style, then my surprise fave, the Mega City bowl with chicken curry, peanuts and 3 potsticker dumplings on top! The service is fast and efficient in a venue (the back half of the VFW) that clearly lacks ambiance. The prices are admittedly a bit steep (except for domestics at the back bar) but you will be blown away by the flavors and you certainly won't walk away hungry. My only other advice....try not to ruin the shirt you have on when you go, in fact you might care to bring or fashion a bib, cuz most of these flavors will leave permanent stains!

Our entrees included Pork Coppa Ramen- which was a solid dish- strong beef broth flavor and the sambal (chili sauce) -a few cents extra- added a good depth of flavor. The fish bowl- tuna, salmon- with rice, pickled veggies, and gim (Korean seaweed) was tasty. It was even tasty the next day cold out of the fridge. Our server Jack did a nice job- we sampled their roasted carrots- and they were actually our favorite bite. We also had the potato graten and they were tasty- but could have been easily skipped with our Asian dinner vibe. The restaurant has a great eclectic historical vibe and was busy on a Friday night, but still felt spacious. The drink menu is a good selection- we enjoyed wine with dinner (a solid Pinot noir). I would definitely go back to have the pizza- which looked delicious at a couple of the neighboring tables. This is a great date night venue or girls night out.
