Chinese food does not disappoint! This new restaurant took over the old Wok Grill Express, and it was probably one of the best takeout experiences of my life. I made a phone order not knowing how long it would take and they told me 10 minutes! I showed up 10 minutes later and it was already packed waiting for me hot on the counter. The food was phenomenal and the service so friendly. Also pretty affordable considering the price of takeout everywhere else nowadays. This is definitely my new go-to Chinese restaurant close to home.

Only tried their beef chow fun today, but it was legit. Lots of "wok hei" IYKYK. Good ratio of beef and bean sprouts to look fun. Food is made to order, so it's hot and fresh when you get it. Good prices and good portion for the price too. They are located in the same parking lot as Foodland right next to Subway on California Ave. Very nice staff as both the cashier and cook thanked us when we left. Will definitely go back to sample the rest of the menu.

First, the price was pretty high compared to the amount of food they served and the flavor of their menu. The pork rice bowl had way too much rice compared to the pork, and I think I only had half of the rice to eat with the pork on top. All the foods we ordered wasn't very flavorful either and they charged 3% for credit cards. The economy is tough right now so that may explain the card charge and the portion size but I don't think I'll be going to this place again. It was good to try but wasn't impressionable!

I decided to sit on 1 of the gray tables outside. It looks the same and it tastes good like in the past. The Roast Pork was big pieces, soft and juicy too! Their lunch plate is $17.50 without upgrades and comes with your choice of meat, two scoops rice, cabbage, and a gaugee. You can upgrade for $1 to fried rice or cake noodle or combo meat. The lunch plate is more expensive than the one at Mei Mei but it's twice the size and can feed two not starving people. I came around after 1230p and they had already run out of fried rice which was sad, I think the guy in front of me may have gotten the last order! So definitely go on the earlier side of lunch if you want to make sure they have everything you want. This is located on the second floor of the shopping center above Times (same level as McDonald's), just at the top of the escalators. Take out only. Place your order with the nice lady at the front, then wait until she calls your order out to pick up and pay. At peak lunch hour this can take 5 to 7 minutes. Credit card surcharge. There are a few shady tables on the second floor patio you can sit at to eat.

I added rice to the head (in Ilocano this is called "labay", adding rice to soup or broth to extend the meal). I was in heaven. The other dishes were all big portions and very good. My buddy really likes siao mai, and he said KSR has the best ones out of the places I have brought him to in HNL. On the other hand, the manapua was just okay: The ratio of meat to bao was low. I took char siu fr the platter and added it to the bao. We might have been better off skipping the baos and ordering a rice or noodle plate. The har gow and spring rolls were pretty good. The rolls arrived piping hot, and the har gow had a nice texture in the wrapper. Fourthly, the cucumber was fresh & crunchy, and had lots of garlic. I ate some with the char siu to cut thru the fat. Lastly, the char siu & duck platter was very good. They do a good job of putting some char on the bbq pork. The duck was tasty, but there were a couple of bony pieces. Regarding the ambiance, its big in here. Although they don't use carts, the aisles are wide. The servers were friendly & warm. I would def return for dim sum, but I also want to come for dinner.
