They had Jumbo walnut prawns-- indeed quite big, not heavily battered, enjoyed the crunchy texture...tasty.$25 Ong Choy with squid in salted dried shrimp paste...squid a lil chewy, okay flavour, small portion of tender ong choy.$19 Fried salt pepper pork chops is the usual standard fare, moist. $18 Great service, friendly waitress, food came out promptly and piping hot. It's me my family's first time here at Ewa Pointe Chinese Restaurant but unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. The food initially looked good, but while I was eating, I discovered a cockroach in my dish. That completely ruined the meal and raised serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety. I immediately brought it to the staff's attention. While they apologized and deducted two of the dish from the bill and the response didn't feel sufficient given how serious the situation was. Finding something like that is unacceptable at any restaurant. I won't be returning, and I strongly urge management to address their hygiene practices. The aunties who work there are always on it -- friendly, attentive, and ready to serve their customers with aloha. Our seven-year-old absolutely loves the soft sweet buns and the rice cake (available on Fridays) -- it was also my papa's favorite, so it's a special treat for us. We enjoy the cake noodles, and my husband can't get enough of the spicy tofu and eggplant. We usually call in our order for pickup, but we look forward to dining in one day soon. During one visit, I noticed a rude customer speaking disrespectfully on his phone, calling his meal "rat soup." It was disheartening to hear, especially with the aunty waitress standing nearby. This is my go-to Chinese restaurant in Ewa. It does get busy at times, which says a lot about how popular it is. We usually order takeout, but this time we decided to dine in. I always get the stuffed eggplant, but I tried something different on this visit and wasn't disappointed. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food came out at just the right temperature. We Love their fried rice!! The portion size is large, It can serve a couple of people. We use to love their food, But lately it's been a hit or a miss. This time they gave us the wrong order and the stirfry vegetables did not taste good at all. I also orders a platter for Christmas and it did not taste the same and our last togo order we had a dish the was not tasted. So I'm a little bit sad because we don't have many Chinese restaurants in the area. And I've tried to keep giving him a chance. I will come back for the fried rice though. read more

I was in the mood for some cold ginger tofu for dinner but I wasn't in the mood for making ginger scallion sauce after work so I asked my boyfriend to pick some sauce up from Ewa Pointe on the way home. He did and when he brought it home he said it was such a rip...$14 for a one lb container. I can see paying $7...at the most for this, if I knew how much he paid then I would've told him never mind. Yes, we received a refund and yes, we were told "sorry about that" and "sorry for what happened" but this is my final straw with this restaurant. My family and I have been coming here since they opened. Recently they hired a young lady who is very short/rude with her customer service. I've learned to just give it right back. Maybe she's not aware of it but I have said something a few times...silly me for thinking it would help. Last time we ate in, I watched her go from washing something in the front sink, pass a customer his food then go back to the sink NOT CHANGING GLOVES OR WASHING HER HANDS AT ALL. I waited for the other ladies to be available to ask them for a to-go container for our left overs....this girl came and WITH THE SAME GLOVES DRIPPING WET GRABBED ME A CONTAINER WITH HER FINGERS INSIDE THE CONTAINER AND TRIED TO GIVE IT TO ME. The food is always so good here! The lady's are very nice and the restaurant is always clean. We do a lot of take from here. My youngest son loves there soft buns and eats it just by itself. I always gets there cake noodles with shrimp and vegetables, tofu with vegetables in spicy garlic sauce, and honey walnut shrimp! SOOOO ONO! I highly suggest you eat here. To me the only thing I could find wrong is, it's a bit pricey. Probably one of the more expensive Chinese restaurants on the south side. But it's worth it! read more

Not sure if it's the same short/rude lady that Ember mentioned below but my family and I are never going to this restaurant again because of her. When we arrived, 4 adults & 5 children, we all were given plates. After taking our order, because the children ordered saimin, she came to take the plates away - which is fine if she put it in the sink to be washed since it was touched by the kids. Instead, she put it all back with the clean (?) plates to give to the next customer! Pilau! Also, we had leftovers for take out. When we asked for a container of mustard to-go, she said it's $2.50 and removed the mustard holder from our table so we couldn't take our own. I thought all chinese restaurants provide free mustard with their orders. Not this place! She then proceeded to speak loudly to another worker in chinese, which sounded like she was grumbling about us - we don't understand chinese. We ordered from this place because it's in our neighborhood & I'm always about giving se one chances. The fried chicken was ehhhh if you count the pieces it doesn't make up 1/2 a chicken. Now the Mongolian beef could have been better meaning give me more meat versus the amount of white onions in the small carry out. Come on -please don't jip me because it is take out. Update on review posted 8years ago. The customer service here has declined. I've gone there quite a few more times(hanging on to what was) and the staff is incredibly rude (as most Chinese restaurants are) it doesn't stand out anymore. The food isn't as good and trying to just get a water refill is a hurdle. No complaints on the ambiance. It's clean to the eye. My business goes elsewhere. read more

Check what happened under their reviews. Now Ewa West Point! Safe to say this is our new go to for Cantonese Cuisine. The Kau Yuk though not Belly was very soft, and Ono! The house Chow fun was loaded. Especially noticeable was the over abundance of Gravy. They made sure the thick Noodles didn't absorb it. They also have the Watercress Option for Harm Ha with pork. We ordered 10 dishes including the specialty seafood soup. All in all it was good, beside the eggplant dishes being too sweet, sizzling beef being chewy, Orange Chicken was made from chicken left over meat from the wings or something (recommend making it from breast meat). Ordering is super easy, be it online, by phone, or in person. My usuals are honey walnut shrimp , oyster sauce chicken (husband's fave), sweet and sour pork (grandson's fave ), egg flower soup, and I never forget the crispy gau gee min. I was recently introduced to the gon lo min by a friend, which I ordered a large pan for a party recently, and was wiped out within minutes! Lots of parking, so no need to stress on trying to find one. The staff is efficient and friendly and very accommodating for family gatherings.. give them a visit, and I hope you have a good meal! We did that and the guy at the register treated us like we cut the line. If there were signs that would've been helpful but there was none. After he finally acknowledged us he was very obnoxious!!!!! We are not the type to give negative reviews but if we're treated wrongly just because we were confused then I want others to know how what they should do. read more

Hubby, mother in law, my daughter and myself came here for dinner since hubby and I were craving Chinese food. We were in the neighborhood and decided to come here. We were served iced waters once we got seated at a table. I looked at the menu and decided to order the dinner plate which included pieces of fried chicken, pork ribs, noodles, fried rice and crispy gaugee. Everything on the plate was delicious especially the fried rice. I enjoyed the noodles as well and it was so filling. Our waitress refilled our waters and was super nice. Service was excellent and the ladies working here were nice. Plenty of parking in front. Businesses share the parking up front. Went there back in July after golf at coral creek. They were closed for dine in so we got mixed plates and sat outside. Two choices were called lunch and dinner plates. Not a huge difference between them, both contents and price. Both were huge and stuffed to the max of the standard styrofoam container it cane in. Big value for the price. Taste and flavor wise, the food was good standard local Chinese food. Absolutely no complaints and would, and we did, go back again after golf. read more

As for the Lemon Chicken it was crispy on the outside and tender inside. The sauce served separately (a good thing) was on the sweet side and lack the lemony taste which I like. My father inlaw made his order at 11am. Our pick up time was 5pm. We went there at 5pm. They wasnt ready. They said, because it was a big order. That is no excuse. They had more then enough time to prepare. People kept on coming in for their pick up order. Majority of them had to wait like us. All said and done. We got our order an hour later.
