Minute chicken cake noodle

Noodles were moist with lots of chicken and ung choy, Fried to perfection and not overcooked. Large portions 1 order can feed 2 people. Lots of take out orders That tells you tlfood is good if locals go to pick up.

"Garlic" fried rice

This restaurant is very spacious! The establishment was very clean!! The service was normal. The server was very tentative & fast w refills & the check. BRING YOUR OWN TUPPERWARE FOR TAKEOUT bcs they charge per container. The general tso chicken was the best thing on my table!!! A must order! I also ordered garlic fried rice, but I couldn't taste the garlic anywhere!! It tasted like regular fried rice! The egg rolls were good, but the sauce was bland. The salt & pepper pork chops were very salty, but I guess that what I ordered since it's in the name lol. I asked if they had a side of sauce for the pork chops & the server said "no need Bcs it alrdy has plenty flavor" LOL she still brought out honey mustard & soy sauce. I will come back to try more stuff!

Another good night at Great Wall. My son came home from Germany and was craving some Chinese so we decided to go here for another try. Glad we did food was ono as usual. Service was great! Food came out in a timely manner. Clean and comfortable setting for big ohanas to enjoy some good food and talk story (also most of my pictures are double orders)

General tso

Updated review. Everything tasted great! We got general tso chicken (one spicy one regular), orange chicken, fried rice, chicken lo mein, and chicken egg rolls. All were fresh and flavorful. Staff was very friendly. Parking is in the back and open now. Very clean. Price is a bit high for take out but it's a nice sit down restaurant as well. Our takeout for family of 5, well really 4 because wife and youngest shared was $115. We had leftovers and usually Chinese takeout isn't the best leftover but it was still just as good the next day. Aloha.

Orange chicken

From the moment you step inside you see beautiful artwork and flowers on the tables. Very nice service, seems family owned. The food tastes great. We got egg drop soup 4/5. Orange chicken special plate 4.5/5 and spicy sesame chicken 4.5/5. We got a jasmine tea pot as well for 3 dollars. Worth it.

Here at the Great Wall restaurant for the first time on the ground floor of a green condo building!

On my first visit to this restaurant, I had no idea it would be this clean. The parking lot is to the left of a light-green condo building where it seemed that the owners might live. As we walked in, we saw several open tables and chairs very well organized in the room and were soon led to a set of matching wooden chairs surrounding the round table with smooth, rounded edges and corners making it safe for a baby. All the decorations were extraordinary, including the centerpiece plant on the 'lazy Susan' glass rotator where we sat. An image of the Great Wall of China is masterfully painted on a huge porcelain vase and beside it were paintings of various scenes in China. On the opposite wall, a design next to a paper maché arrangement of silverware read 'Let's Eat!', so we promptly flipped to the vegetarian section of the menus we were handed. There are many great vegetarian dishes to choose from for those concerned about their diet. We started off with a couple of spring rolls with sweet Asian chili sauce. Then we had a veggie dish of garlic ONG Choy. We had a sizzling platter of eggplant and my date Lehua was impressed by how the chefs shaved all the rough skin of the eggplant to leave them so smooth and silky looking. We also had a bowl of brown rice served with curry tofu with peas and carrots. Overall, we had a great meal in a beautiful restaurant for a wonderful deal! Maybe the green attracts abundance? It definitely earned my review!

I grew up in Wahiawa and never tried Great Wall Restaurant til recently after my family ate there and had nothing but good things to say about their food. We got a variety of dishes. My favorite has to be the Mongolian beef. The beef is tender and filled with spicy flavors.

Amazing service and great food! Bill was about $20 each for 10 people, so it was very reasonable. Can't wait to go here again.

Junk kung pao chicken... no peppers or flavor and too many onions.

Protein included tough beef, dry chicken, and adequately cooked shrimp. Overall dish was oily and not well seasoned. Mongolian Beef - Not Mongolian beef. More of the same tough beef in a tasteless stir-fry with green peppers. Vegetable stir fry - slimy and tasteless. Large onions were prepped halved and quartered. Chicken with Broccoli - same veggie stir-fry with tasteless inch cubed chicken thigh pieces. Orange chicken - tons of super salty sauce and super small pieces of chicken that were overcooked and I couldn't make out the coating. Eggrolls and gau gee were satisfactory. I don't usually post negative reviews but money is really tight these days and although the plate portions are large, this $73 purchase order wasn't worth my hard earned dollars. They may have a few signature dishes but unfortunately it wasn't any of these and I will not be returning.

The lady was so nice and had a smile on her face the whole time! I ordered Crispy Gau Gee Mein, Cold Ginger Chicken, Shrimp Canton, Pork Fried Rice, and Chicken Katsu w/ Fried Rice. Portions were great and pricing was even better, 5 plates for $60! Seriously one of the BEST fried rices I've had (both the pork fried rice and the plain fried rice that came with the Katsu)! Shrimp Canton is a little different from the breaded type and served with veggies, it was different, but still very good. Sweet and sour sauce was more on the tart side (I'm used to Maile Chinese's canton sauce, sweeter side). Pork fried rice and crispy Gau gee were definitely my favorites. This place is now added to our takeout options for lazy dinner nights.

Maile's Maile's Maile's, LOL…read more We love eating here no matter how our experience goes for that visit, we ALWAYS come back.. Today *sigh* We sat immediately, there were about 2 tables dining in, so not crowded, seems like we missed the lunch crowd, which is nice. We ordered and I *bleep* u not, our food came out less than 10 mins *crying* I dont like to make a fuss, so We started plating our food. We got the house noodles, bitter melon w/pork, crispy fried chicken, marinated pork (red sauce) and steam buns.. House noodles-was warm, not hot just microwave warm. Thats my favorite so I was excited to dig in. One bite of the broccoli and I was disappointed:((( The broccoli tasted old and stale, everything else in the noodles was fine. Marinated pork-not hot again, microwave warm :(( Steam buns-nice and hot and that took a minute to come out Bitter melon-my husbabe enjoyed it Crispy fried chicken-now this what made me say something. that chicken tasted old and literally just warmed in the microwave. I called our waitress over spoke quietly and asked for a fresh batch of crispy chicken. They apologized, took the chicken and came out literally 5 mins later with the same chicken we gave back :((((((((( they literally dipped it in the oil and brought it right back out. Now did I see them do that? No, I did not. But did I know it was the same chicken YES i did bc I took a picture of the pieces and what it looked like and there was NOOOO way our FRESH chicken would come out in 5 mins and that thing didnt even taste fresh *crying* it was soaked in oil and we just didnt eat it. But of course we will be back bc during dinner the food is always great and fresh

Heads up, there are two entrances: the left side is for dine-in and the right side is for takeout. We were seated quickly, and after placing our order, the food came out within just a few minutes. Large Wonton Mein (5/5): A super comforting bowl that combined classic saimin with wontons. Everything tasted homemade and fresh, from the chewy noodles to the light, savory broth and juicy wontons. It also comes with a side of hot mustard that has a surprisingly strong wasabi-like kick if you want extra heat. Cheeseburger (3/5): Apparently one of their popular items, but it didn't stand out much to me. The beef itself was savory and tender, though the rest felt fairly standard and a bit overpriced for what was included. Overall, a great local spot for comforting saimin, and I'm glad we stopped by to try it out.

I had gotten the Chicken Katsu Curry Ramen, Husband had the Oxtail Ramen, and we shared the side order Mochiko Chicken. I thought the Mochiko Chicken was cooked to perfection and wasn't overly sweet. The Katsu Curry hit the spot! I did remove it so it wouldn't become too soggy as I knew it would be too much to finish and wanted to take it home. Husband said the Oxtail itself was bland BUT they gave a lot so it wasn't a complaint but he would probably try something else the next time. Service was friendly and fast. We noticed a lot of take out orders but I feel like since we ordered a lot of deep-fried foods it would be better enjoyed there along with the various condiments they provide at the table. There is a provided restroom and the parking lot is shared with a few other Businesses so it may get congested depending the time you come. It is pretty big inside and the tables are moveable to accommodate larger parties.

I sat down on one of the 9 tables and looked over the menu and bam my eyes became fixated on the beef curry combo. I thought the beef was going to be thinly sliced but to my surprise it was chunks of tender beef. The curry was on the sweeter side which I actually prefer so it was a 10 out of 10 for me. The Ramen noodles has a nice chew to it. The slice of pork was on the thicker side but it tasted a little salty which may have affected the broth as it was neither a hit or miss but right in the middle. Needless to say I ate all the noodles and left most of the broth. I woild give it 7 out of 10. The pan fried gyoza was good. The wrapping had a nice texture and chew stuffed with pork, onion, chives ginger and something else but it tasted good. 9 out of 10. Service was really good. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was given a menu and water. Never had to ask for a refill on water. 10 out of 10 for service.
