Kunia Chinese restaurant is our family favorite. Especially when it comes to potlucks. Last week, I was voluntold that thanksgiving is at my place. Thank goodness I asked as I needed to find a place fast that has thanksgiving package because I don't cook this type of meals. I looked up a few places and then I remembered the few thanksgivings we've been her to pickup dish's for potluck that Kunia has such packages. I mean a whole rack full of cooked turkeys waiting for people to pickup. And so the next day, my sister and I headed to the restaurant for lunch and to put in our order. We ordered package A at $179 includes the turkey, noodles and crispy gau gee. Sounds expensive but best to be safe than have a ruined bird in this specially family holiday. The food is god here. Our family favorite is the steamed ginger fish and the salt and pepper fish filet. During peak dining hours this place does get busy both for dine-in and take out. The staff, super friendly. And for us, the price is right. Plenty of parking. Although there are several Chinese restaurants nearby, we don't mind taking a short drive to Kunia Chinese Restaurant. 5-stars for me and my family.

So sad but a metal looks like a washer was in the chow funn noodle plate, quite disappointing

Who wants a metal washer in your food , we brought 4 platters and sadly the beef chips funn had a metal washer in the food, quite disgusting quite disappointing

First time here and we were satisfied. The Fish, Duck, and Egg Fu Yung were very tasty. A little disappointed.ted with the spicy Eggplant though. They brought us the wrong dish and when we got "the right one", looked like the tried to use the original dish and just touch it up for the right dish. It just didn't taste right. Over all we were satisfied. The staff was friendly and attentive and there's plenty of parking in the complex. Give them a try when you're in Kunia. Alooooooooha and happy eating.

Very very clean restaurant! Friendly staff & big portions! Came here for an early Father's Day lunch. Everything my family & I ordered was really good. The employees were also very friendly & made sure we were ok. Food came out hot, fresh and pretty quick. My favorite was the egg blossom soup, salt and pepper squid & beef fried rice. Will definitely come back to try more things on their menu.

Half Peking duck with buns and steamed fish with ginger onion :)

My sister and brother-in-law really like this restaurant and brings home tasty food from here every so often. I went on my own to order takeout after an appointment and got the half Peking duck with buns and steamed fish fillet with ginger onion. Both dishes were so fresh, light, and tasty! They also were not too oily or salty, and I didn't feel bloated or sluggish after which can sometimes happen depending on the preparation of the dishes. I also think the ginger from the fish helped relieve an upset stomach I've been having for a few days, and the ginger wasn't too strong tasting or overpowering. Such good dishes and I enjoyed them very much :) It was easy to order over the phone and they have a good online menu to reference, and the wait wasn't too long even during lunch time. The staff was nice and we had a casual conversation, and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. Free parking at the shopping center where it's located and it's a great place to stop by in between errands or if you're looking for Chinese food in Kunia. Come by and try them out!

I've been meaning to try these guys for forever & so glad I finally did! I'm less than a 10 minute drive, always receive their menu flyer in the mail. Placed an order online, quick & easy! Received a text confirming my order with a way to track the progress. Food was ready ahead of the estimated time so winning! Packaged perfectly as to prevent anything with sauce from leaking. Utensils, napkins & sauces provided also. Food was tasty!! Crispy gau gee is fat & full! No skimping of ingredients! Chicken with black bean? Mean! Shoyu for the ginger fish packed separately so it doesn't get soaked. Super friendly service, clean location, good location & plenty of parking. We'll be back for more!!

My dad's friends were visitingda 808, so one night I decided to take them to a Chinese restaurant in Royal Kunia, because my dad's friends like hole-in-da-wall joints. Located in a small strip mall just across the street from the Kunia Times/Don Quijote store, you'll find this restaurant in the same complex where Bank of Hawaii is situated. Kunia Chinese Restaurant is really not a big restaurant, but the restaurant is clean, brightly lit, and much nicer looking than the conventional hole-in-da-wall Chinese restaurants. Upon getting seated, I decided to order a fixed pre-set meal that consisted of the following - 1. Abalone Pork Vegetable Soup 2. Roast Duck 3. Shrimp & Broccoli Stir-Fry 4. Orange Chicken 5. Mongolian Beef 6. Minute Chicken Cake Noodles 7. Steamed Rice I also decided to order a Steamed Fish dish, as my dad loves fish. What can I say about da Chinese grub? Kunia Chinese Restaurant was much better than I had anticipated, as the food was tasty, and the servings of food were more than generous! Some of the items that stood out for me was the Roast Duck, & Orange County. My dad's friend also commented on how good the Mongolian Beef dish was. Overall, a wonderful dining experience, as we received excellent service, & good food!

I used to order food from here a long time ago when I lived about a mile from here. We had an errand in Waipahu so dropped by to order a take out and bring it home but decided to dine in. We wanted to order 3 choices we never tried here before so we got the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Minute Chicken and Beef Chow Fun (Gravy Style). The food served was very tasty and thought the portion for each entree was generous. We would definitely order these again! This restaurant is clean and spacious, there's lots of parking and the workers are so nice and friendly. We had a lot of leftovers so I asked for 2 containers and was going to combine 2 of the dishes together but our waitress said she'll give me another one...thought that was really nice of her. We enjoyed our experience here so we will be back!!!

Egg Blossom Soup with Pork Hash; tasteless and made with only water & cornstarch
    Charry J.

All of the dishes were quite disappointing! This was once our favorite Chinese restaurant, especially since it's just a 5-minute drive away, but that's no longer the case; the food has declined in quality. The last few times we've ordered, it was quite bad. The orange chicken was tough and dry (overcooked nasty chicken breast), the egg blossom soup was tasteless (just water and cornstarch), and the spicy garlic eggplant tofu was subpar, lacking any garlic or spice flavor; the tofu was nasty spongy and chewy, the worst I've ever had. I recommend making the trip to Grand Chinese in Pearl City (a new restaurant). Every dish we tried there was ono with plenty flavor (old school Chinese style dishes).

Came back here to eat lunch after Tennis. The food is amazing, The Fried Flounder was really good...Boneless with a batter around the fish. The Roast Duck is what there know for, Walnut Shrimp too. Our Waitress Amy has excellent customer service, been working there for 20 years. They're Celebrating 20 years at Kunia. I think October 11, 2025 will have some Lion dance celebration. Aloha, Derek

Wong Kung Chinese Restaurant is located in a small strip mall a few doors down from the FAMOUS Elena's Filipino Foods restaurant. Wong Kung Chinese Restaurant looks a bit dated, but since I'm a fan of old skool eateries, I figured I'd give a try. Upon looking over the menu, I decided to order the "Menu for Five" which the price was listed at $99.99, and the following items were on this menu - 1. Scallop Soup 2. Mix Seafood with Vegetables 3. Fried Fish Cube 4. Char Siu Fried Rice 5. Roast Duck (1/2 order) 6. Sweet Sour Spareribs 7. Beef Broccoli 8. Sam See Mein What can I say about the grub??? Overall, most of the food items were pretty good, with the exception of the Scallop Soup which my dad & I found to be a wee bit too salty. I also found that the Roast Duck appeared to be kinda dried out. As for the rest of the menu items, it was pretty good! Some of the outstanding items were the Fried Fish Cubes, as it was nicely deep fried & although a dipping sauce was given, it was not necessarily needed. The stir-fried items like the Seafood w/Vegetables and Beef Broccoli are hard to mess up, and those dishes were good. The Sam See Mein was also delicious, and I would easily come back here for their noodles. Service here was on point, fast friendly service. When I paid for the meal, I'm not sure if they automatically added on the tip? The bill came out to $119.70 (not including tax) when on the menu, it said $99.99. To top it off, there was another 3% charge if you pay via credit card. I think the business needs to update the menu, if you're not going to stick to the prices as listed on the menu.
