Ordered to go from here, I got the kimchi fried rice, spam musubi and their bulgogi. My boyfriend said the bulgogi was very good and so was the spam musubi, it was the kimchi fried rice I had the issue with. It seemed to be lacking in flavor and wasn't spicey at all which was really upsetting. Had I known the spice flavor would be so mild I would've at least ordered some gochujang on the side to bring up the heat. Their macaroni salad was also a little lacking in flavor as well but still edible. read more

I was so happy to hear this restaurant opened near my house because there is a severe lack of Korean food in this area. I usually have to try to go to federal way to get Korean food so this is a welcome addition to the area. So far I have ordered from them twice and my favorite thing so far is the garlic fried chicken. It is crunchy yet juicy in the inside and the flavor is amazing. My second favorite dish is meat jun. The portion sizes are nice and big and the prices are very reasonable. read more

Very excited to stop in here after having this place on my list for a bit! Reviews were spot on! Wow! The food was amazing! As a first timer in any restaurant I love to ask what are the popular menu items. We settled on garlic chicken and spicy pork. Food did not take long but was made fresh as we waited. Portion size was huge!! Well worth the $12 cost per dish. We definitely could have shared one dish but wanted to try two menu items. Service quick and good. The owner even came around to the tables checking on customers, totally appreciate that! Can't wait to and try the poke and musubi next time!! read more

This place was amazingly delicious very friendly staff. Food was great as well ordered the katsu and it was delicious perfectly cooked. Mac salad was good as well not to mention they serve it with noodles and kimchi tho not a fan of kimchi was nice to see a twist on traditional Korean bbq. Wasn't intending on stopping but there was an accident and happened to be hungry so what better way to try something new. This is a great place to eat and would recommend to everyone. read more

What a huge win for Renton, and, right next to Ikea!! Yummy Kitchen is latest restaurant of the family who founded the South Sound's best Hawaiian restaurant (which broke my heart when they sold!). With this new venture, the same perfect menu favorites remain: bbq chicken, poke, spicy pork, kalbi, and more -- with some new innovations too like fried chicken and garlic chicken. These authentic family recipes are nearly perfect, and are executed consistently and deliciously every time. I'm thankful that retirement didn't suit the owners for very long, and, am thrilled to see them back at it with this wonderful addition to Renton. I just wish it was closer to my house like their prior, where I'd eat twice a week :-) read more

Definitely coming back to this place. The owner is so sweet & helpful. It's a pity that the location isn't the most optimal. I have never heard of a Korean-Hawaiian fusion restaurant before. I was both intrigued & skeptical when I found this place on Yelp. In general, the portion size is filling. We ordered the spam musubi, kalua pig, & a chicken teriyaki-like dish. My friend's spam musubi was a lot bigger than we expected & seemed to be filling. They served the kalua pig with japchae, kimchi, & macaroni salad. All things I love! It was meant to be. I was considering getting the korean chicken & apparently they make those with the wings which taste the best. The only criticism I would say is there was quite a bit of oil/sauce pooling on my plate from the kalua pig. I also ended up getting one or two tiny pieces of tendon/bone while eating the pork. Other than that, great food & great customer service. Like others mentioned, this restaurant is a bit harder to find. Really hope this place does well! Stopped by here on the way to the airport. Located in a strip mall, but conveniently located. Food is solid. We had the spicy pork, bulgogi and chicken katsu plate. Staff is very friendly and will come back if in the area again. read more

The original owners have passed the baton to family and I'm hoping for a steep learning curve. Been there a few times since the transition but I believe the last time I went was the first time they were not being assisted by the previous owners. I had to pan fry my meat jun prior to eating it as the batter was still uncooked; in addition, the sides we requested were not correct even though it was clear on the receipt on which sides were requested. The Bibimbap we ordered did not come with the spicy red sauce the past two times we ordered it. I'm hoping they are able to pull it together as the food was great prior to the transition and this is the closest restaurant that serves meat jun. Fingers crossed... read more

We ate here twice. Once when the restrictions allowed us to dine in and last night we ate in our car. (Due to covid guidelines) The food was hot, fresh and portions were great! We were so full and satisfied! We ate the spicy pork, beef bulgogi and Katsu. All 3 were delicious but my favorite is the spicy pork. We also had a side of the cucumber kimchi which is an extra $2. I think the fresh cucumbers add. Wish we ordered another one because it was a good compliment to the meal. My only suggestion would be if the restaurant allowed us to pick our sides it would be nice for people who don't want to eat the potato, jap chae or Mac salad. If salad or cucumber kimchi was an option that would be amazing!!!! But again, overall I still give them a 5 star rating and appreciate their awesome quality of food and customer service. If you are in the industrial area of Tukwila and are looking for a good Poke - stop here. The toppings are limited but what they have is delicious. I had the traditional tuna. It was served on fresh warm rice and the tuna was actually prepared but still raw. The service was especially friendly. I would recommend. read more

I'm from Hawaii, so I am always on a good lookout for meat jun. We moved to Renton almost a year ago, and we tried this place. Let's just say we go back often. First place in a long time that got the meat jun right and sauce. I don't like when places just try to throw in soy sauce as the dipping sauce. Thankful this place knows how to do the dipping sauce right. Our family has also tried the Loco Moco, poke, chicken, and spam musubis. Everything was great! Wish there were more options for sides, but the ones they come with are close to the ones I would have picked anyways. read more

The tempura batter was very thick and the potatoes weren't done. The dipping sauce had no flavor at all. The fried chicken was good, as was the chicken teriyaki. The sauce for the gyoza wasn't great and it came in the tiniest container, for 6-8 gyoza it wasn't enough. read more

The hype is real with the reviews of this little hole in the wall. I ordered their bibimbap and spicy Korean chicken wings. The bibimbap was top notch and the portion is HUGE! Could literally have 2 meals. So good! The spicy Korean chicken wings were also great, BUT not spicy as I expected. Overall, 4.5/5. Will definitely return to try the rest of the menu! read more

Stop playing with me lol I started off at the sides lol The chicken needed to be ate after i wasn't starving lol (don't judge me) So, the Mac salad was very good. Good flavor! Glass noodles had a light sauce on them and seasoned very well. Just simple and so good! I believe it was Kimchi (don't come for me) which was amazing !!! Nice amount of spice. Rice was good also! If you looking for local grinds like back home in Hawaii, this is the place. We had the Meat Jun, Chicken Katsu, Loco Moco, side Seaweed and let me tell you everything was oh so ONOLICIOUS. I have yet to try the poke bowl. They have such awesome customer service! Also, they are the only place that I found that serves MEAT JUN which is a fav back home. Second time my family came here. Food is so good. First time we went here, my husband got the loco moco, and I got the bbq ribs. Also had a side of salmon poke. The poke was so good that I had the actual poke bowl the second time we came. My 4 year old, who is a very picky eater, loves the japchae noodles. The guy in the front cashiering and serving (might br the owner) is super nice too! He gave our 4 year old a free can of hawaiian sun because he said our daughter was so cute. So fresh and so delicious. The clam chowder was my second favorite and I would choose this clam chowder over Pike's. I thought the salmon belly wasn't bad, but it didn't live up to the price tag. It was the most expensive thing we got and my least favorite. Overall, get the poke and the clam chowder!!

Dad had the hwae-dupbap (think of it as Korean bibimbap but with poke instead of meat) and the Cho-gochujang sauce was excellent. I had the loco moco and it was better than in the past. Also the banchan with that were fire (seasoned japchae noodles, spicy shredded radish) both better than in the past They sell most of the side dishes as banchan and as a Korean I fully endorse them. I am a huge Korean banchan snob and I will absolutely countersign their cooking I don't know what's going on but like I said - everything tastes better than before. The ajumma who runs the place said business is getting slower as the economy is imploding so let's support this awesome local business so we can keep this place around.

Most of the staff are nice, but the owner does not quite seem to care about what his customers think as he is on the ruder side. However, the most outstanding staff is the older sweet looking lady who is incredibly kind. I wanted to make a review to to praise her (I wish I got her name!!) 2 scoops= small 3 scoops=medium 4 scoops=large Usually, the 2 scoops is enough to fill me up--but I'll always accidentally order the 3 scoops instead. I do not get their spicy meats because they're all cut up and mushy. Get their non-spicy one-- they're more fresh and at no extra charge. The rest are charge an extra $1.50 a scoop. So if you do not like mushy meat, I recommend you not to get the spicy ones. The sweet lady who helped me out gave me a small sample to try (for one of the protein) when it seemedl like I had trouble picking which protein to pick. She gave me a generous amount of toppings (the size of the scoops) when other people here usually give smaller scoops. The price is quite expesnive for what you get here sometimes. I like how this poke place actually mixes your protein into the sauce for you while others just squirt their suace on top. I like how spacous it is inside, and it gives a clean feeling. I enjoy eating my meals there on sunny days. The Poke Bar isn't the best Poke place, but it's not bad for Kent Poke. I have decent experiences here, and there are defintely worse ones out there, hence the 4 stars. I just had a really good bowl this time and wanted to share!
