Yummy's have new owners that are polite and attentive with smiles. There is a bigger selection than before and they are presented in the glass counter nicely. Delicious donuts and paczki!! We're not local to Venice, FL but Yummies is worth the drive down! Not only are the donuts and packzi delicious, Allen and Karen Tines go above in beyond for their customers. Be sure to stop in and support their bakery! Last year my husband and I visited to get a couple paczki and discovered one of the lemon filled ones did not have filling. I reached out to let them know and from the get go, I mentioned we weren't looking for a refund nor a replacement. Just to bring to attention in case there were others that were accidentally missed getting filled from the batch. Karen Tines offered to give a free replacement but it was okay! A year later I reached back out to inquire about packzi pricing this year since we wanted to make the drive down to stop by and purchase some. She remembered me and said she set aside two lemon filled packzi for us for free to make up for the unfilled one last year when we come by. Stopped by yesterday and everything was just as delicious as we remembered (if not, more tasty )!! The lemon filled ones were so good! The custard filled packzi is amazing too! We purchased one of the custard ones and another donut. Very grateful for their generosity. We plan to visit again! read more

My favorite was the filled glazed donut... out of this world! I tend to drift towards traditional recipes so we also tried the glazed cake and regular glazed , chocolate glazed, apple fritter. Better than Dunkin' if that's your gauge. Mostly too sweet. Cinnamon rolls were the one thing we might consider getting again. Anyone complaining about the prices has maybe not been outside buying things in a while. These are obviously higher end baked goods and they're going to cost more than a box from your local supermarket. The display cases were filled with fresh and incredible looking pastries of all types and flavors. The donuts are quite large. Every pastry we tried was delicious! I had the brisket on a Kaiser for lunch and it was so moist and had a great flavor. My son and husband got the Cuban sandwich and they said it hit the spot. The pulled pork was perfect. Some of THE BEST BBQ I've ever had. We tried some of it all. The ribs were tender but not too mushy. The brisket melted in your mouth. Chicken was also perfect. Cereal - This donut was vanilla frosted with fruity pebbles. It was a good balance of the frosting and cereal. Better get there early though, my only suggestion would be for them to seal the boxes with some tape after filling because after hitting one bump the box flew open in our car and the donuts flipped upside down.
