Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the expectations created by the advertising. I ordered the "Fatty Melt." The first thing I noticed was that the grilled onions had little to no caramelization. The burger patty appeared to be a frozen pre-made patty rather than a fresh hand-formed burger. The meat lacked seasoning and flavor, was difficult to chew, and had a texture more reminiscent of a steamed or boiled burger than one cooked on a griddle. Even the ranch was served in a condiment cup lid rather than a sauce cup. The highlights of the meal were the onion rings, fries, and the bread used on the melt. Unfortunately, those sides couldn't make up for the quality of the burger itself, which was the reason we came. I hate leaving negative reviews for local businesses, but I also believe reviews should be honest. If you're looking for a fresh, hand-made burger with quality beef, this may not be the place for you. We left disappointed, especially considering how promising the photos and menu looked.

Don't sleep on the fries either, cooked in beef tallow bringing out a wonderful flavor. The cocktails we got, French 75 for my wife and a Moscow Mule for me, were mixed perfectly with a great balance. Come here for the food and stay for the conversation. At first, I thought she was the only server working, so I was patient. However, I soon noticed there were other servers on the floor. It still took over 20 minutes before she came to take our order. We ordered the Farmhouse breakfast with biscuits and sausage, a kids' Farmhouse with pancakes, and breakfast tacos. Nearly 45 minutes passed before our food arrived. During that time, my coffee never came, and no one checked on our table. When the food finally arrived, my order was wrong. I received toast instead of biscuits and bacon instead of sausage. Lauren apologized and said she would bring the correct items, but they didn't arrive until we had already finished eating. To make matters worse, when I asked to speak with the manager, no manager could be found. I understand that restaurants can get busy, and I'm usually very patient. What was most frustrating wasn't just the wait, but the lack of communication, urgency, and basic customer service throughout the meal. It's unfortunate because The Gathery is a small business that I'd like to support, but experiences like this make it difficult to return. It did not seem like it was seasoned at all, the batter was very bland and unfortunately, adding salt and pepper didn't do much because it would've been better if the batter itself was seasoned. This is a true country restaurant that feels like home. The service was amazing with a story plus just good conversation. The atmosphere was relaxing and homey. Can't wait to go back.
