We came here after enjoying pastries a friend had bought from here. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed by what this small donut shop had to offer. We walked in and were greeted immediately by the gentleman that runs the shop. He was very friendly and attentive. We didn't know what to order, because they have a wide variety of pastries as well as sandwiches. We ended up getting a few items and all of them were delicious and most importantly FRESH. Ordered 2 bagels with cream cheese this morning, as I was eating my bagels I noticed that the cream cheese was very runny. Turns out they out mayonnaise instead. It seems they thought since we took it to go we wouldn't notice. Very disappointing and disgusting. read more

So I fell in love with their carrot cake muffins (from scratch, this point is very important later) but they don't make them that often. So the other day I went in ordered 1 dozen, because they can't make just 1, and prepaid. I picked them up the next day and they looked amazing but I waited till the next day to have one with my coffee. That's when I discovered how CHEAP they've gotten!!! Not only were they NOT from scratch they tasted so generic, like they used a standard (maybe even box) recipe and through in some shredded carrot for looks! I will never buy from them again and suggest you not waist your time. Oh also when I went to pay the younger girl said she doesn't have authorization to use the register but then literally a minute later rings me up! Wow no words! Not only that but before this happened I went in around 1 pm and asked for a ham and cheese croissant, but apparently they were all out! Im conflicted between me liking yum yum donuts and this place. I used to come here at night but don't anymore. I live down the street and usually at nights I would crave a donut being that this place is close to my house we would come and the girl inside was too busy talking to someone that she obviously doesn't care. I wanted a simple donut which they didn't have much at all. She told me to go to the donut shop in Passons. At first I didn't know what she meant because I didn't know the city very much but I did end going to a different location that night. I don't get why she was trying to send me to a different place. So I also did come here in the morning while I had my car fixed across the street and they had a good selection of donuts and I was happy with their service. I guess the girl who works over night just didn't want people there. read more

I don't usually get donuts so late in the day but after having been driving all day long, I needed a little pick me up. This was the right place to stop, although I had my doubts as I Parked. I was the only customer inside. The salesman inside was so sweet. He let me know what was fresh and what had been the most popular. The prices were more than fair and their coffee had just been freshly brewed. We must have come at the right time. Once we paid for our goodies, there was a line behind us. Our donuts were so good. We had NO idea they'd be so tasty. That made for a must happier drive to Glendale. Whew! read more

I will stop eating donuts. I really will. *fingers crossed* I usually do an impulse donut buying from this place. It's not the best donut shop in the area but it serves it's purpose. Of making me fatter. The servers are always nice, the place is always well lit, and clean from I could see. I usually stop late evening so by then the donuts no longer taste fresh. I should point out though that the donuts still taste good at other places even when I get there late. Parking is good; gets crowded sometimes. Very near the 605 although if you are heading west from the 605, there's a much nearer donut shop right across Ralphs. Also about a 2 minute ride from the 5 fwy, heading north when you exit. I do have to lower my score because I agree with the other reviewer. This location does not make all the bagels/sandwiches offered at many other locations. First time having Yum Yum Donuts looking forward to it. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant sandwich which I took to go along with a strawberry banana smoothie. Took several bites I usually tend to look at my food before eating it as soon as I was going to take my 2nd bite I come across a stapler in my sandwich. The best YUM YUM place around all the surrounding cities. The place is SUPER CLEAN, The staff is AMAZING. I come here every day including weekends, (yes Im chubby LOL!!) With regards to the CRY BABY from riverside about his turkey sandwich.....THEY'RE A FREAKING DONUT SHOP DUDE!!!! They're not a Deli.
