I was seated instantly which was great for lunchtime and a place that isn't that huge. But, in this part of Suwanee, you're close to so many other Asian restaurants that I guess it's not too surprising. I tried the fried tofu appetizer. It was okay. The vinegar-based soy sauce blend that accompanied it attempted to bring a flavor to the dish. I ordered the Genki roll and On the Bayou roll, as I love crawfish. Both were delicious. This used to be my favorite sushi bar because of the great prices and variety of sushi until one night I called to place a to-go order 50 minutes before their closing time (which is at 10 pm) and they told me they were not doing to-go orders anymore. Therefore, I drove to the restaurant, arrived at 9:31 pm, and they told me they were not taking anymore customers to dine in. At this point, I was very disappointed and upset because if their closing time at 10 pm then they should at least do to-go orders until 9:45 pm. They were rude about this whole situation in person and on the phone. Over the phone, I was told that to-go orders end at a certain time but when I arrived at the restaurant, they told me that at 9:30 pm to-go orders are no longer accepted. it was just ok.... I'm not a big sushi person, but i did try everything else... and it was just ok, nothing special, it didn't make me wanna kiss the chef OR slap my mama. It stays packed during lunch, so I would assume its delicious... but I honestly had better sushi at a mall food court. 50% off on all rolls!! this place used to be called mealtown, a korean restaurant, but it's now sushi yuka and they serve sushi and pho. my first thoughts when i saw the words "sushi & pho" next to each other, i was a bit skeptical - when restaurants serve more than two types of food, they're usually not good at either. my family came here to celebrate my dad's birthday and ordered 4 rolls, then 2 additional rolls. these rolls reminded me of typical fushionized rolls that you would see at rusan's. the taste was in between decent and good. the time it took for them to bring us 4 rolls took a looong time. the 5th roll came out relatively quickly, but the 6th roll.. they forgot. after waiting a long time for the 6th roll to come out, we had told the server and the roll came out faster than EVER!! so it made me wonder what the delay was for the first rolls. the good part: they have a deal where all rolls are 50% off. the bad part: nice but really slow service.. read more

This place is a decent sushi restaurant. The rolls are very affordable, which means you can order lots of food. Perfect for a post-workout meal. I ordered spicy salmon hand rolls, and a two of the regular rolls. Definitely loved the hand rolls, but the regular rolls were not all that exciting. We were seated finally, then we sat at our booth table under a loud tv. We didn't know if anyone would come to our table or not. I was so hungry or else I would've left. Very rude unprofessional people, I usually don't like to leave bad reviews when it comes to restaurants because I worked as a waitress for a long time and I know sometime it's hard to please some people but this place is the worst, we asked for our food to be replaced because we saw a tinny piece of hair in it, the very rude waitress said she will replace it but we still have to pay for it and if we don't pay she's going to call the police, I never in my life heard such a thing a waitress threatening the client to call the police because they requested to replace the food, we ask to speak to the manager she was as rude as the waitress didn't even take the time to come to our table to check what was the issue, ‍‍‍‍ do not go there, this people only care about taking your money very unprofessional read more

This store is new, has been open for about 3 months and since they were doing 50% off on all the rolls and sushi, decided to give it a try with my girlfriend. Also learned that this is the branch of the sushi bar yuka in Atlanta. First of all, the inside seemed like just a typical japanese restaurant with of course a japanese bar. The atmosphere was just clean and neat though. This restaurant serves both japanese foods and pho. We thought it was a great idea because we could enjoy both pho and the japanese sushi and rolls at the same time! We wanted to try some stuff on the menu so we had pho as main dish and ordered some rolls and sushi as side dishes. I've been to A LOT of pho places across the states and this place's pho was very good but yet different. The taste of soup was not as strong as other vietnamese restaurants pho which means not as much msg just as this restaurant advertised. I liked how there was picture of every roll in the menu. Personally, me and my girlfriend thought the rolls and sushi were really good as well. Very fresh and tasty, looked just like the ones on the menu. Sushi was also very excellent. No specific complaints. We were surprised at how after ordering so much the bill didnt come out as much because of the 50% off. It sure did help alot! Overall, we didnt have any complaints about the restaurant but sure the pho, sushi, and the rolls were tasty and moreover, they were cheap! Also thought pho with sushi was a great idea. Not bad pho and good sushi. It seems like a pretty ok place. Nothing to jump about but no bad feelings as of yet. The only comment to really pay attention to is anyone's impression of the pho. There was a taste in the pho that I am not use to and I am a big pho eater. I cannot put my taste buds on it but it is something that I have not had before. I would say the pho probably had a taste that the cooks are closer to. The sushi was good. Yuka seems like a good lunch place and an ok place for dinner. Worth checking out if you like sushi and pho but in the future I want to try their seafood pho because I think they know more about seafood there. Over all good place. I wanted to give it a 4 but I need to go there more to try some other things. Review may change over time as I try more items. At the moment I suggest sushi over pho as far as quality. read more

This place is AMAZING!! What started out as a grand opening half-off special turned into just house special, and what that means is we all get to enjoy fresh, yummy rolls for ~$6-$7!!! The genki roll, samurai roll, mountain samurai roll, crunchy roll, etc. you name it, it's GREAT! I would personally prefer to go to a vietnamese-run pho place for the pho, but a lot of my korean friends seem to like the pho served at sushi yuka so I guess it's a taste preference thing. Sorry Yuka, I think this is the last time for me for now. I might wait a year or two before giving you another try. First off, the quality has simply gone down to the point where I have lost my reason to come. The beef pho I enjoyed so much, meat quality and quantity have both declined, and the broth that comes w/ it lack any true flavor I loved about it. What made the experience the worst, which I am very sensitive in this area, the lower quality ingredients has made my digestive system incompatible. The food here is amazing. For the affordable prices they had you get more than what u pay for. Especially for sushi. It was about $50 with tip included for 3 adults and a toddler. The pho is also the best I had. I didn't even need to season the broth. Out of all places I have tried pho this place is the best. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because of the service. I personally don't like having 5 different servers. Nor do I like having to continually ask for something. I should only have to ask once. I've been here three times. This is a review for the most recent time I've been here, specially for one server that works here. I don't know his name because he never told us. I've never had such a horrible experience anywhere I've went. 6 of us came in and was immediately seated next to the sushi bar and ordered specifically stating that we're ordering for ourselves (I ordered for my significant other and me). Our server comes back with our food all mixed up and seemed upset that we wanted it on separate plates. Let's keep in mind we were his only table at this time. Our 7th person came 15 minutes late, but his sushi roll comes out before one of the girls that ordered 15 minutes ago. When we ask where her roll was he apologizes and tells us there's no rice left and it would take 40 minutes to cook, but offers her pho or udon; she declines. 5-10 minutes later, we suddenly see sushi plates made for tables that came in after us. Outraged, I asked him why there's sushi for other tables that came later than us, but they couldn't make any for her. At this point, he was lying out of his *** and I demanded to see a manager. He replies saying there isn't one working on a Saturday night, but the owner walks out! He was just as confused as the servers. At this point, we were all fed up and demanded for our checks. Let me also mention that, he gave us water and never refilled it the entire time. I do applaud the other servers for stepping in and helping him fulfill his role as a server. First off, map location is about a mile and a half off. And the name is ...incorrect(?) as well. Read Annie L's review to find correct location. I had read other reviews and decided to check this place out for a quick lunch. It was anything but that. Atmosphere is typical for small strip shopping center restaurants, nothing special. Place was very busy and the parking lot was full. I waited for three minutes at the front before a waitress beckoned me over to the bar, then just plop down a menu and walk away. When she came back to take my order, she repeated my order as she should and walked off. After about 15 minutes, the sushi chef (who seems to be the owner as well) called the waitress over and asked her what I was having because he never received the ticket. So, after my order was actually started on, I observed the following three incidents: First, the gentleman beside me, who had been there a while reading the paper and looked like he was done eating, was brought his check, whereby he promptly stated that he had still not received half of his order (was missing a house salad and a scallop roll). The waitress, thoroughly confused, again asked him if he wanted the check. After being told again that he had not received everything that he had ordered, she informed the sushi chef, who immediately began preparing the rest. Not two minutes later, another waitress brought this gentleman his check again, and again, he had to explain that he had not received all of his order at that time. Secondly, while I was waiting for my sushi lunch combo, I observed a gentleman at the door, patiently waiting to be seated (there are no signs suggesting otherwise). He stood there for several minutes until he finally gave up and took a seat at the bar. During this time, several times the head sushi chef made a comment to the staff that they needed to help this customer, but no one ever made it over there. And finally, as the chef was preparing the sushi rolls and nigiri, he would call out 'Order' for the wait staff to come pick up the platters. One order sat on top of the display case for five minutes before he had to tell someone to come pick it up again. On to my food! I ordered the Special Sushi Lunch Combo, which was served with six pieces of nigiri, and four pieces each of two different rolls, one a spicy tuna, and the other a tempura. Presentation was nice, as most people have mentioned. Ginger wasn't pink, but natural, which I prefer, and the wasabi was nice and fresh (hot). The nigiri pieces were fresh, of good color, tasted great, and were surprisingly large, while the rice balls underneath were surprisingly small. So small that I could take my slices of nigiri and wrap them completely around the rice ball. Of course, I would much rather have larger pieces of fish than larger rice balls, so I was perfectly OK with this. The roles were good, put together well, and presented nicely. The price for the meal (~$17) was a little high to not have been served with a small ginger salad or something similar. Overall, I would have given this restaurant three stars, except that I truly feel that "Meh. I've experienced better." Maybe the staff were stretched too thin for their lunch time rush, and I hope that they get their service together - if so, this place has the potential to be a great establishment. read more

I like to come here with my family. It's a great local place with decent food. We always do several orders of sushi and pho to share family style. It's not top-notch, but tasty enough and filling. I would recommend any of the crunch rolls. My only complaint is the service.. which I notice other reviewers also had issue with. We've come here several times and the service is consistently less than satisfactory. We would ask for napkins and the waiters would forget. We'd ask for a spoon. Chopsticks. Nothing. At some point, my husband just got up and looked for napkins himself. There were a bunch just a few steps from us. Would it have been so hard for the waiter to grab some for us at the moment we requested extra napkins?? I don't understand why it is so hard.. there seemed to be enough workers.
