We loved this place we stopped in to have a quick drink, Matt the bartender who was just full of personality. We enjoyed his company so much we went back after the grocery store run we had to make for our kids. We had the best time and he was looking out for our best interest with the specials and happy hour they put on! 3-7 not many places have a happy hour like this. This place is absolutely perfect for 80s and 90s dance party for those of us of a certain age. It will take you back to the dive bars of your college days and make you feel 21 again! We went here on a Saturday night for 90s Dance Party and had a blast!! It wasn't super crowded but there were enough people dancing, and DJ Reflekshin was awesome!!! The guy checking IDs was really nice and fun and made us feel welcomed to a place we had never been before! It's just the right amount of run down and was exactly what we were hoping it would be! My only complaint would be that the drink prices were a bit high. Being from Scottsdale, we're used to getting overcharged for drinks, but we were a little shocked when we got the tab. Love all the bartenders, the lighting is perfection, the arcade is sweet, the drinks are extremely well priced (especially during their happy hour), and the shows are absolutely incredible. They have shows for every kind of music you can think of with a dancing area, stage and sometimes some awesome vendors inside you can buy little knick-knacks from. Love this place to death, recommend it to everyone I know and I get everyone on the YUCCA train. read more

Best "dive bar" in FLG. Lot's of shows and events for locals. I'm a bit too old for that scene. What I'm not too old for is the great selection of whiskey Yucca North has available for pours. It's unfortunate that aspect is lost on most of their clientele. FLG is a hipster college town.... They do have a great selection of beers on tap, and the bartenders are happy to pour you a shot of fireball, without judgment, unlike me. Casey, the owner, is great, and has been very helpful with the local bourbon group, Flagstaff Bourbon Society, who now host tasting events there occasionally. I'm surprised by all the reviews saying service was unfriendly. I had the exact opposite experience. My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday. No issues with the door man at all. Sat at the bar and were served quickly. Ordered butter chicken bao after sitting for a while enjoying our drinks. Those were yummy! While I don't condone rude bouncers or staff I think a lot of people need to keep in mind that business have to protect their liquor licenses and therefore rules are rules. They might not accept certain types of identification and that's not up to the door man OR the bartenders. Most people are not just trying to go out of their way to ruin your day, they are just trying to protect their business read more

As a local, I loved the Green Room. I've been trying with Yucca.... Elwood was awesome but the new bartenders that have been there the past few months are unwelcoming - just really rude. Multiple times, I've gone in when it wasn't busy and the bartenders act like it's bother to pour a drink. It is sad; it's a small town, treat people with respect, it would go far with locals. Yucca should have stay in Tempe, the bar has just gone into the ground since it was purchased. read more

My friends and I were met with hostility and bad attitudes when presenting our foreign passports and told to leave because our ids were in "Spanish". went to numerous other places in downtown and did NOT have this same problem. I wish I could give this place zero stars. I paid to go to a relentless beats event here, and they wouldn't let either of my friends in when nothing was stated about strict driver's license only ID's to be able to come into the event. The service we received to resolve this issue was horrible and resulted in me paying 30$ to come in and wasn't even allowed past the door. This review is coming from a Flagstaff local who LOVED the green room before it became Yucxa north. I worked for an organization who worked with the green room and could honestly say they were community focused. I've successfully been to the yucca twice since they opened, despite trying to go there on other occasions. Tonight I went to the yucca. My group consisted of maybe 5 people. One of our friends, who was also our designated driver, attempted to join us but was not allowed in. The bouncer, Marshall's, reason was that he needed 30 people to leave before he could let others in due to capacity reasons. Granted, the bar maybe had 30 people total in the bar. The bouncer stated the capacity with a band was 500 people while the capacity without a band was 50 people. The stage area was wide open at this time. There was not 50 people in the bar on a Saturday night at 12am. Meanwhile, the bouncer let a couple other people into the bar, while continuing to deny our 100% sober DD. Upon exiting the bar, we ran into the headliner who played that night who let us know that they were compensated $20 despite about 100 people attending their performance. Unfortunately this experience of being denied entry despite 20 people being in the bar has been as constant experience. With this in mind, I will not continue to visit this bar and will encourage other flagstaff locals to boycott this establishment. I am truly sad to see this bar replace the green room who was always accepting, accommodating, and involved with community experiences. I encourage others to avoid and boycott this Phoenix based establishment. read more

The security at this place need more training, before more women are assualted. While attending an event, a man came up behind me and tried grinding on me. I made it clear I was uninterested and he continued anyway. a member of our group went to security as he would not back off. and it seemed they removed the man. Not long later, her was back, walking up on me and harassing me and my friend. It was reported again and he was removed again. We thought. then back again and he grabbed my friend and started making gestures to us. when it was reported again, as well as tje aggressice behavior of his friend trying to fight us, we were the ones asked to leave. Not only did security not do their job, they put us at risk by forcing us out with the aggressors who obviously were looking cause harm to us. I will NEVER go back to this bar, or Yucca Tap and everyone I know will know how "security" acts at this establishment. Someone is going to be raped because there is no security for women. this is a college town bar and I worry for the younger girls who are going to be victimized at this establishment. I feel violated by the man who put his hands and body on me and again by the security team who failed to protect me and my friends. read more

Yucca North is the worst. I'm not very pleased with the service I received. Our ONE friend was not allowed to come in after THIRTY people left. Additionally, the bouncer said "If you keep bothering me about letting your friend in, I'm not going to let him In". Lastly, they said their capacity was 50 when a band wasn't playing and 500 when a band was playing. I'm so happy that covid doesn't exist when a band is playing. As a flag local, I'm so disappointed. This bar is absolutely the worst bar in flagstaff! Do not go here!! I truly wish that the green room was still there and yucky yucca bar was gone. The bouncers and owner have no idea how run a successful business and don't allow people to come into the bar when they are not even close to capacity ( but had no problems letting in all of their friends while ours had to stand outside ). I say down with yucca and bring back the green room !! If you want to have a truly terrible time going out in flagstaff yucca is the place for you. Would not have been upset if I didn't already pay $18 to see zeke beats preform. Not good for business especially the bouncers rude attitude. Ladies BEWARE! We were in Flagstaff from out of town and some of our favorite bands were playing at Yucca North so we were super excited to check it out. While listening to the music a man came up and started grinding on my friend at which point she let him know she wasn't interested and my daughter stepped behind my friend to create some space. He called my daughter a bitch, flipped her off and made the hand neck slicing motion. At this point I went and spoke with the security by the back door and asked him to just be aware this man was being aggressive. He was asked to leave but his female friend with him was not. During the next band he was able to get back in and came up behind us and let us know he was back. I asked security if he was allowed back and was told they did not communicate to the front door, he was again removed but his friend was not. Security apologized to us and said he was gone. But during the final band he was again let in and came up and full palm to cheek grabbed my daughters ass while his female friend laughed. There was no security at the back door so I went to the front and asked security there if he could help, I explained what had happened, identified the individual and security had me step outside to tell him what happened because it was not the same security person. When we came back in the other security was telling us that we had to leave because we were in an altercation, the only altercation was him touching my daughter and being aggressive at us. As we were going to leave the man who harassed us swung at security and him and his friend were removed, at the point this happened we were being still being asked to leave at the same time and door as the individuals who were aggressive to us and were only stopped at the door and finally told we were OK to stay due to the fact he was obviously the problem. I later found out that others in my party had also approached security multiple times so they were well aware this was happening in their establishment. I will NEVER visit this or any other Yucca venue and will be sure to spread the word that this is not a safe place to be out in this town unless you want to be assaulted in public and then put in an even more dangerous situation. I wish I could leave 0 stars, just horrible. read more

They had a Hawaiian shirt day (which we wore) and we live in Phoenix so we brought a back pack so we can hold our jackets if we didn't want to wear them and they wouldn't let us in because we had a backpack so we said we can give you our back pack to put behind the bar or whatever and they just weren't even ok with that so for that I would say rude service read more
