My dirty gin and the buzz flower

We love this place! It was a live band playing is there a lousy don't expect it to be quiet and to have a conversation with your partner or friends. However everyone is happy, the drinks were fabulous, my first one was made by a woman and my second one was made by Corey, both equally good. We sat at the bar was watching Corrie making drinks... Long Island iced tea seem to be a very popular drink here and they are only eight dollars. They had a special drink that had buzz flowers grown by Sam. We were able try one and they were fabulous as they enhanced my drink however they also numbed my tongue. I would come back here.

Got into Flagstaff around 5pm which was right on time for happy hour. Played some pool and drank some beers. P.S. Get the SMALL order of nachos.

The views from the back of the lodge are breathtaking. There is an area where wedding ceremonies take place that looks out into the beautiful mountains. It really is gorgeous. The main hall is a nice size. You can easily fit 150 probably up to 250. I am not sure what the actual limit is. Or friend's wedding had just over 100 and there was a ton of room. During the rehearsal (3pm) and on the night of the wedding, there were deer that came down into the fields....so beautiful. The staff said they deer are regularly there every afternoon. The Food Our friend's wedding was buffet style and the food was good. We had a chicken Alfredo pasta, salad, mac and cheese, and bread service. There was a cash-only bar that according to my wife, had good drinks. The Staff The only member of the staff that I worked with was Linda. She was amazing and was so patient with our party. I believe she is one of the head members at the Elk's club, and she really just tried to make the best out of every situation on the day of the wedding. We had a few schedule issues that came up and she did great working with all the different personalities. Overall, depending on the vibe you are looking for with your event, the Elks Lodge is a good choice. There is a ton of parking, the offer food and all of the table and chair rentals are included.

We decided last minute on the Friday before the 4th of July that we indeed could not bare the heat…read moreany longer in Phoenix so my husband called Little America to see if they had any rooms, thankfully they did. We packed our bags and headed up to Flagstaff for some reprieve. A little nervous taking our 2 year old but based on the reviews, we took a chance. I'm beyond grateful we did. Our hotel room was exactly what we needed, two beds, plenty of space, updated, mini fridge, mini microwave, bathtub to bathe little, super comfy beds and blackout shades to get some well deserved rest (if you have kids - you know). We only checked out the restaurant for breakfast and it was okay - nothing amazing but also not bad. The waitstaff were very pleasant and timely. The amenities are what really stole the show. The park was actually perfect for our toddler to run around, get dirty and make some new friends. It's well designed to accommodate kids of all ages and actually entertained me as mom too. We met plenty of other parents there with their littles which made it that much better. We planned to check out the pool but our son was on explorer mode so the trails, basketball court and park took up his time. The only downside to our stay, was that our bathtub drain was clogged so our showers were so fun with standing water up to our ankles. We did call a few times but no one ever came to fix it (maintenance was tied up with the pool I later heard and it was a holiday weekend so maybe they were short staffed). I called and spoke with the front desk who offered us a comp toward our bill for the inconvenience which was appreciated. Overall we had a lovely stay and plan to return in the winter for their Christmas festivities.

My overall rating for Little America Hotel Flagstaff is 3 stars…read more I want to start by saying that overall, many of the staff were kind, and I've stayed at this property multiple times before with good experiences. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds and pillows are amazing, and the views of the Coconino Forest are beautiful. I also really enjoy the heated pool, the walking trails, and how convenient the location is to nearby stores, gas stations, food, and the highway. However, this stay started off on a rough note during check-in and unfortunately impacted my overall experience. When I approached the front desk, the representative (I believe his name was Hudson) had just been warm and friendly with the guests ahead of me. But when it was my turn, his entire demeanor shifted. I greeted him politely, introduced myself, and asked how he was doing--he didn't acknowledge my greeting at all. He became very robotic, avoided eye contact, and rushed through the process in a way that felt uncomfortable and dismissive. The interaction continued to feel tense. He spoke quickly, made assumptions about my payment method, and presented documents to sign without explanation or engagement. The only time he made eye contact was when emphasizing rules about no smoking and no pets. I had previously called to confirm that I could bring my cat, who is an emotional support animal, and was told that would be allowed with documentation. When I explained this, he became agitated and insisted I must have spoken to a third party, implying the information I received wasn't valid. After requesting a manager, the situation shifted, and I was eventually allowed to proceed with a one-time fee instead of a nightly charge. However, the interaction felt unnecessarily difficult and uncomfortable. What made this experience more concerning was something I observed after checking in. When I connected to the TV system, I noticed that one of the device names visible on the network included a racial slur. Guests do not have the ability to rename these TVs--they are pre-programmed--so this is something that had to come from within the organization. That was extremely upsetting and unacceptable to see in a professional environment. It's 2026, and people are still out here using racial slurs, spreading hate instead of love and kindness. I'm not interested in being in environments that feel stuck in the past. I want to be around warm, welcoming, modern people who choose unity over division. This is the main reason I cannot rate this stay higher. While I understand that not everyone reflects this behavior, it raises serious concerns about oversight and accountability. Management should be more attentive to what is happening within their establishment, especially when it comes to creating a respectful and inclusive environment for all guests. It's disappointing because I've enjoyed staying here in the past. However, based on this experience, I don't feel comfortable returning and will choose to spend my money elsewhere moving forward.

So much more than five stars! Lowell is a wonderful place…read moreatop hills of Flagstaff. My fiancé and I visited during the day on summer solstice. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor exhibits, especially sun viewing through telescope, walking the scaled galaxy walk and the dome telescope where Pluto was discovered. We came back at night for stargazing . Such a wonderful experience. It gets cold so wear jackets and layers at night. They had glow in dark paths to illuminate walking. And sky viewing was magical!! There were multiple telescopes through which we saw stars, galaxies, star clusters. Even the observatory helpers had a laser pointer to point out constellations. All the stars for this observatory! Must visit while in Arizona to learn about our universe

**July 2026: Tuesday Afternoon**…read more Growing up, Pluto was still considered a planet, so when I found out the observatory where it was discovered is in Flagstaff, I knew I had to include Lowell Observatory on my itinerary. During the summer, tickets were $43 for adults, $38 for seniors (55+), and $28 for children (6-17), with hours from 1 PM to 11 PM (which makes sense with the later sunsets). My friend and I arrived around 2 PM and were able to jump right into a mix of lectures and guided tours. One of the highlights was being led to the very telescope where Clyde Tombaugh discovered Pluto. It was such a surreal, full-circle moment. Our guide also shared the history of Percival Lowell and walked us through the grounds, which added a lot of depth and context to the visit. I also appreciated how interactive the experience was. There are telescopes available for guests to use during both the day and night, and your admission includes a clip-on badge that allows you to leave and return later in the evening. We had planned to come back after dinner to try and catch a view of a planet, but unfortunately it was a cloudly forecast so we were out of luck. Even without perfect viewing conditions, the experience was still incredibly worthwhile. It's such a great place to learn, enjoy the outdoors, and appreciate the curiosity and dedication of scientists and researchers. We ended up attending several talks and tours and learned a lot throughout the afternoon. We stayed from about 2 PM to 6 PM and even grabbed a grilled cheese sandwich at the café, which hit the spot. Overall, Lowell Observatory is a unique and educational stop that I'd definitely recommend adding to your Flagstaff itinerary--especially if you have any interest in space or astronomy.
