Very cute restaurant, packed on a Saturday night. We ended up getting the guacamole to start, chicken and fish tacos. They pack a lot of people in this place, the table is small and you're practically on top of the people next to you. Guacamole was great and came with lots of chips. There's an option to order it with and without pico. Our waitress didn't ask us if we wanted it, brought it and charged us $3 (so tell them ahead of time if you don't want it) My fish tacos were delicious, the piece of fish is huge and the taco is packed with flavor. Looking forward to coming back here!

I went for lunch during the week and was sat immediately i wanted to try the lychee mocktail but they said the lychee was frozen its funny because it was during happy hour so you could get a cocktail for 9 but my no alcohol cause 11 not great. The squid was over cooked but the sauces were good and the taco had way too much sauce it made it really messy and soggy.

This spot was popping and it was completely worth it! Our sever was Angela and she was phenomenal. So sweet and attentive. All of the staff in the restaurant was so kind and everyone would check on us. We did the Espresso sauce wings, the Cubano sandwich, and carne asada tacos. Everything was so tasty!! They have daily happy hour for 9 dollar margaritas. This place is awesome.

I think I was here years ago, and it looks like it's been remodeled with an updated menu since then. This is a great spot. The decor is colorful and festive. The bartenders are social, attentive, and skilled at making drinks. It was hard to choose because everything looked so good. I came with a birthday group, and the staff made sure we had great seating. The windows opened to the outside, so we could still hear the music from inside. I would definitely come back, but with so many places in this area, I'll have to plan to hit a few more while I'm around. I do have to take away one star because the slaw on my fish tacos was overwhelming. Honestly, they would be better without it. Shout out again to the bartenders. They are the stars of this place!

Strong, delicious drinks with yummy yuca fries? I'm in! Plus available outdoor seating with great people watching! Yuca Bar is perfect place to grab an adult beverage and a quick bite to eat before a concert. Staff was attentive and friendly. Menu could use more vegetarian options. I tried to order plain (cheese) quesadillas but was told they only had meat quesadillas. As a vegetarian who can't eat raw veggies, I was left with the veggie burger as my only option. Happily, the veggie burger was really good! But honestly, if I go back, I'd just get the fantastic yuca fries and coconut margaritas.

Cute and cozy spot. Our server Valeria was very patient and courteous. We came in already a little tipsy and she didn't seem too annoyed by our giddiness. The food was good but the portion sizes could've been bigger. The price was really great, they were having an extended happy hour which they do on Sundays and mondays. I visited Yuca Bar after attending an event at a nearby art gallery and decided to grab dinner with a family member. We arrived shortly after 9:30PM to a lively atmosphere with plenty of patrons eating and drinking. Security checked our IDs, and we were welcomed with a smile. We were politely informed that the kitchen would be closing soon because the space transitions into a lounge/club later at night. We ordered a shared meal and drinks, everything was very good. The restaurant was playing Latin music that paired well with the food, which felt like a mix of Mexican, Colombian and other latin/fushion options. The tables are on the smaller side, and the space is set up fairly tightly for dining. Around 10:30, a DJ began setting up as the staff cleared tables to make room for the lounge setup. We were given a heads-up to close our tab, but they welcomed us to stay if we wanted. We hung around for a bit and eventually left around midnight as a younger crowd began arriving to party. There was a line forming outside. The DJ was playing a fun mix of Latin music, overall, a cool vibe. It's been a while since I have been in this part of Manhattan, and so much has changed, but the energy of Alphabet City definitely has not. Its still a unique mix of culture, art, and diversity, with just a touch of sketchiness as you walk through the streets of Lower Manhattan. Theres a lot to do and plenty to see if you are interested in exploring a neighborhood that has so much to offer. If you haven not been, you should definitely check out this part of Manhattan. I might go back again soon.

Came here with a friend on a beautiful September afternoon. Sat inside and got some Happy Hour drinks . I think the frozen or regular Margarita was $7 and $2 extra for flavor. I got a coconut frozen Margarita with tajin which made it a bit spicy. My friend enjoyed his regular Margarita. The best drink was the frozen Caipirinha with lime and mint . Wow ! That is delicious. Also had guacamole and chips with 3 different colors of chips . Pretty tasty and came with Pico de Gallo too. Staff are extremely friendly and cool . This is a lively place with a great Latin soundtrack. Probably good for Birthday parties too. I was here at 3pm on a Friday and Happy Hour was in effect (even at tables. )

We made a last minute stop for dinner here an early Sunday evening. I panicked because we didn't have a reservation, luckily we were seated right away. We started with their garden salad which was phenomenal. I still dream about it. I'm upset that it's the only thing I didn't take a picture of and truly regret it to this day. The service was good and food was really delicious. My husband liked his sangria. My frozen mango margarita could have been a little stronger. Otherwise, it was a truly great evening. The restaurant is so welcoming and cozy. Would return again and again. This was our third time there. The last time was about six years ago.

We decided to have brunch here. Please feel free to correct me and add an additional star if I am wrong. Their "Huevos Rancheros" comes with "Eggs any style over black bean quesadilla atop tomatillo sauce, Mexican cheese, guacamole & house cream". I requested "no quesadilla". When the dish came, I realized it had no black beans in it so I let the restaurant know and she said that I requested "no quesadilla" and clarified the black beans, that go on top of the quesadilla was not put on it. I didn't say "no quesadilla and black beans". I found that odd but she kindly asked if I wanted a side of black beans in which I happily said yes to. When the check came, they had charged us for the side of black beans. The music and the restaurant was very loud at this point and I was so annoyed that we didn't want to argue w/ the waitress. I am really disappointed about this. read more

Solid spot. Let me start by saying that the drinks were fantastic. The margarita that I had - and I'm not a margarita drinker - was very good and everyone at our table really enjoyed their drinks. The chips and salsa we started with were good as well, fairly basic but no complaints. For my main I had the octopus which was quite good, but was nothing over the top. Service was good as well. We did have to ask for our waters to be filled a couple times but that's all right. Ambience was perfect for what we were looking for - a chill spot to grab some drinks and food on a Wednesday night. Overall, we'll definitely come back to Yucca bar for drinks. I don't know that we'll come running back for food though. read more

I came here with a group of 6 and got seated outside immediately! The service was quick but the tables were definitely a little too small for all we ordered! We all shared the espresso BBQ ribs, yuca fries, paella, ceviche, chips and guac, empanadas, and yuca croquetas! read more

Yuca Bar is a one of my favorite restaurants in the East Village. The food is always good, and the staff is excellent. Cynthia always makes me feel welcome when I come in for lunch. Plus, they serve the best sangria in the neighborhood. Couldn't recommend them enough. read more

The bouncer was violent was there 5 hours on our last drink from 6-11 spent over 100 dollars with friends and at 11pm was told to do coat check after 5 hours we said we on our last drink and he is 6 feet im 5'1 female he got upset and threw me on the floor 2xs. Even ambulance came was targeted and discriminated on. Horrible experience never again. read more

Didn't make reservations because it was on a Tuesday like most places aren't crowded lol Anyway got there like 6 table for 3 only 2 of us were there at the time and we were able to sit . (Some places make you wait until your full party is there) it was nice and warm in there thank god because it was freezing out. We didn't know they had so many specials like 1/2 tacos and 30% off the tapas. And obviously happy hour which we knew about until 8. Me and my mom had margaritas hers with salt mine without. Omg! Strong as hell. Definitely worth it. We started with the tapas until my son arrived. My mom got the yuca croquettes. Delicious! I ordered the chicken skewers it came with white rice . They burnt my onions and peppers a bit , not a big deal because the chicken was so flavorful. The sauce it had was delicious. My son arrived he ordered his Mexican cola lol he ordered from the tapas the Cubano sliders . He said they were good . I ordered the chicken tacos they only form in corn tortillas which i don't love but these were like cooked and had like a great crunch they were very good. My mom got the fish tacos. I didn't catch the waitress name but she told us she was from our home town in Puerto Rico (Mayaguez) she was a delight from the start. She was Theo not waitress I noticed with the help of the guy that kept filling our waters. My son brought my mom flowers and the kind guy brought out an ice bucket with water to put the flowers in. That was so cute and thoughtful. They also helped us embarrass my mom by singing happy birthday with the most delicious flan I've ever had. Thank you so much we will definitely come again read more

Can only speak to the drinks as I came for happy hour.. but 100% worth it for happy hour. Goes until 8 every day and has solid deals on all types of drinks. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

This spot use to be our go to place for aftework happy hour or just weekend catch ups. about 3-4 years ago the management was great, then it seemed to have changed. worst customer service ever....the host/hostess is always in some foul mood especially the evening gentleman (i use the term loosely) is very obnoxious and very offensive. no charisma whatsoever and the same is said about the woman with curly hair. I don't know what has happened with management, but they seriously need to step up their game and get a lesson in hospitality. the service is horrendous with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 at most table waitresses. the food is mediocre with exception to guacomole which lets face it how can you mess that up. within the last year or so that me and friends have gone we have been very disappointed. the wait staff does not come around to see if we need anything, we normally have to chase them down. they are literally just standing by the bar doing nothing until we wave them over. then they are rudely babysitting us and everytime have asked us to move for other patrons when they are not even sure if we are done with for the night. we are constantly ordering drinks so that is not an issue and there is normally 4-6 of us always we all order between 3-5 drinks each as well as several tapas meals and normally dessert which the last 3x were not given the opportunity to do as the grey wavy hair gentleman rudely asked us to give up our tables if we were done or asked the waitress to do so. the final straw was last week my friend and I were going to meet to have caipirinhas and tapas Friday after work, was looking forward to it as quite honestly that is the only thing they still have going on the bartenders happy hour and their caipirinhas are the best. it was close to 5pm I arrived a bit earlier then my friend I requested to be sat outside, the gentleman in the front same grey tal;l gentleman goes on to explain they were done with lunch and setting up for dinner I said I am aware of the procedure but would like to be sat outside order drink and guac to start until my friend arrived. he refuses to sit me until my party arrives I was just appalled! any other time we are sat. I immedialty left. a few of my friends that were going to meet us as it was a Friday asked what happened they were also disgusted and remember when this too happen to them a couple of weeks ago and seems it was the same person they opted not to go and stop off at another spot instead. here is the thing Yuca use to be a Hot and convenient spot for all! but now the area has plenty of spots that offer happy hour till 7-8pm with plenty of good eats to go with and we don't have to frequent Yucas. we have been to the other places and not once have been asked to give up our seats/tables we have literally stayed till late or closing ordering the whole night nd the waiters have been very happy with our tips. they take care of us we take care of them. a great place to consider 21 degrees right around the corner and Tarallucci E Vino. now this place is amazing bit small but they have a front back area and outside seating. waiters, bartender are amazing the sweetest best service ever and make you feel at home. we have gone back over and over. the only thing we will miss at Yucas is their caipirinhas anything else we wont! Hope managment gets it together and have their staff work better at their hospitality skills. read more

Last night I went Yuca Bar. I was with my Colombian Friend and her American wife. I'm also Colombian and of course we have an accent when we speak in english, It was closing time and the bouncers were trying to get everyone out. We were on our way out, sipping our drinks. We were trying to leave obediently. On our way out the door, along with the other exiting patrons, one of us put her drink down. Next, I put my drink down and my other friend was about to put her drink down but the bouncer shouted at her, "this isn't your country, you can't do whatever you want, put your drink down and leave." We were a bit drunk i have to admit- except for the America girl -My Colombian friend is really not an aggressive person, she is usually very calmed and level headed but this comment got there very upset, because that is xenofobia and she couldn't handle hearing that comment. She did physically lunge for him, I think she tried to push him, but her wife restrained her. She did want to go after him, there was an arguement, but her wife was restraining her the whole time. In the meanwhile, the bartender had her in a strong choke hold a couple of times which made her more physically defensive. They were in trouble and he wanted to hurt her, so her wife just tried to get her out. She didn't try to fight him back, and I just kept walking and saw the whole thing from afar. The bouncer was never in physical danger and her wife was just trying to push her out of the bar. He was extremely violent and aggressive. As she was pushing her out,the bouncer pushed them really hard. They were both slammed into a wall in the cubby-hole. She didn't physically approached him. He also swung a few punches past the back of my head, trying to hit them, one of the bar staff was trying to reassure us that they're aware of what happened and they will "talk" to the bouncer, but they never tried to intervene in from pulling him off of us. She was just trying to defend her wife anyway and no one stopped him from attacking her with brute force. I'm calling racism (even though he was African American), xenofobia, homofobia and excessive force. The violence he inflicted was out of rage, not self-defense. I hope there is surveillance footage. This is really crazy situation, and it doesn't matter how drunk we were a guy should never approach girls like that. It's terrible that a restaurant hires people like that. We are ver small girls and a guy like that can really hurt us very easily. read more

Hello brunch! Arrived around 2pm (a party of 3) and only waited about 20 min to be seated. Restaurant is nicely decorated. Good amount of seating. Pretty warm temperature wise - dress light. Latin and remixes to popular tunes are booming from the speakers We started off two mimosa's and a bloody mary. Drinks were average. Food...omg! delicious! We ordered calamari and guacamole to start. The calamari was large and perfectly fried. It came with 2 sides - twist on a spicy marinara sauce and a cilantro sauce. The cilantro sauce is incredibly delicious! The chips for the guac were plantain and tortilla. It also came with a side pico de gallo. Idk if the guac is made to order as they didnt ask if we want it spicy or not, so I am guessing not. Its still good guac. Since we took some time eating our appetizers and gossiping over drinks, the waitress actually requested we closed out our check with her because her shift was ending. She was polite so we did not mind. We got another waitress to order our entrees. Luckily brunch ends at 4:30pm so we ordered at 4pm. Our new waitress was just as nice as the first but not as attentive. Took her a while to fill up water cups - simple enough, right. Entrees were delicious! I ordered Yuca Benedictos which is yuca and chopped up shrimp hash with poached eggs and cilantro hollandaise on top. My goshhhhhh that was great. The hash was well seasoned with onions and peppers. The cilantro hollandaise is a phenomenal twist to your traditional hollandaise. Its just as creamy and a perfect addition to the latin twist to eggs benedict. The plate looks small but don't be deceived as its very, very filling. My friend ordered the chocolate chip pancakes which she said was too sweet. My other friend had arepa benedictos with serrano ham. Both benedicto plates cost an additional $2. She loved it just as much as I loved my dish. We were soo full we opted out of dessert. Nice decor, delicious food, average drinks, fair prices, average customer service, loud music. Will I return - absolutely! Happy dining! read more

Despite its popularity, the prices are pretty reasonable, and waiting times for a table have never exceeded 10 minutes in my experience. They offer plenty of outdoor seating, making it an ideal choice for the summer, where you can indulge in some prime people-watching. If you're on the hunt for an East Village eatery, look no further; I promise you won't regret it. Now, onto some recommendations. Food-wise, I highly recommend ordering a variety of plates and sharing them with your companions to savor multiple flavors. My personal favorites include the fried platano relleno and the arepa churrasco. The guacamole appetizer is a solid choice, generously portioned and served with flavorful pico and plantain chips, which, in my opinion, outshine regular tortilla chips. The empanadas are another delightful option that I've thoroughly enjoyed. Honestly, everything I've tried here has been scrumptious. As for drinks, I'm a fan of their virgin mango mojitos (I don't drink alcohol), which I could guzzle by the gallons because they're that good. I can't believe what the East Village has become, is tragic, the coolest place in the city is now the home to the most uncool individuals! You won't see one artist or bohemians here... Only the loudest drunk, bad mannered, disrespectful and uninterested people you can possibly imagine... And out of all the horrible tacky places they have open in here, Yuca Bar is the winner of all, as it is a magnet to the worst kind of people that today makes the East village a shame... A Friday night there is like a zoo! Just that this statement would be an offense to the cool beautiful animals! The music is awful commercial, you'll hear things like Shakira and just the kind of music you would feel embarrassed to hear even if you hear it in an elevator... The food made with can corn and cheap fake precook ingredients, there is nothing traditional Latin about it and a shame it carries the name of Latin , plus they disrupt the peace of their neighbors... Summary: a nice tapa bar that offer a variety of dishes. Venue: Yuca has a typical Latin tapa bar feel. It offers both outdoor and indoor seating. For summer evening, I would recommend outdoor seating. Although they do have AC inside if you're afraid of heat. The place looks like an old traditional tapa bar, and there isn't a lot of walking space. Food: They offer daily special, with Tuesday being the best one - 50% off all tapas. The portion of the tapa is meant for 1 - 2 people, and with an average price of $15. To me, it's only worth it if you can get the special price. I got the tauitos de Salmon sashimi (recommended!), arepa jardinera (meh), and Pulpo ala plancha (amazing!) Service: The staff are friendly and responsive. However, they do get really busy, so don't expect they will come to you and ask how you're doing or refill water at a constant pace. Overall, I would recommend coming here to try out the happy hour tapas. read more

I am so excited I finally open a yelp account. My friends and I are always dinning and having fun around the great city of NY and now I get to write some of our amazing experiences. So we always go to yuca for drinks and then we hit some club or a lounge, depends on the mood but this last tuesday we decided to eat here. It was half tapas and happy hour, of course we only knew about the happy happy hour so after two pitchers of sangria at the bar we went and ask the hostess for a table for seven. Wow a 45 min wait. The place was packed I have to say, so we continue sipping our sangria's and waiting. The hostess looked kind of confused but was really nice, she call the manager for a more accurate time and 40 min later we got seated, Was past 8 so the half price tapas was over but we were able to grab some tapas at this price. Thanks Yuca bar. Service was good, the food amazing. See you next tuesday for sure. read more

Love this place. My friends and I waited a little for a table. Wait time wasn't too bad. But the waitress I had wasn't too helpful, I asked for a steak and she didn't bother to ask me how I wanted it cooked or if I wanted a side order. She also forgot to get my friend a drink and side of fries. I got up and went to the manager, who was well dressed in his purple shirt and tie and who was well mannered. He sat at my table as I explained what had happened. The manager was very polite and funny, making us feel comfortable and at home. He was good looking also =) He bought us a drink and apologized on the waitress behalf and helped us get our orders correct. Our night was fixed. The music was great and the food was amazing once corrected. The drinks are strong so I only had two but they are really good. Can't go to Yuca bar and not have a sangria. read more

OMG, the food in this place is amazing. It was hard to choose as to what i had to try but I finally settled for churrasco with mashed plaintains and a side order of yuca fries, which I never had. The food took a little long to come out but it was worth the wait. We were sat by the funny manager Kelvin or Calvin who made my group feel welcomed. Later on he passed by to make sure that everything was going well. My waitress Julia would help pour some more sangria into our glasses, thank God because that was a big heavy pitcher. She was also sweet and on point with her service. I was completely impressed with this place. My weekend was complete this week and now I will go back again in hope of one day trying everything on the menu. I really recommend this spot, its the best in the east village with a nice view to Thomson SQ Park. read more

"Please tell customers about your table time limit before pushing them to order more drinks" Been there so many times and most of the time service & food is excellent. But it's SO UPSETTING to be rushed to leave the table when 5 minutes before we were served a drink. Not Professional at all! Our waiter asked if everything was ok when we finished dinner, we ordered one more drink, then exactly 5 minutes after he brought it to the table, he approached and mentioned a "table time limit restaurant policy" so he'd appreciate it if we cooperate by rushing, paying and leaving. Please don't push people to keep ordering drinks if you're kicking them out 5 minutes after that, Be Honest, especially when we had been there just the allowed time, we were with a kid, and the restaurant HAD tables available at the time. I came here on a Tuesday night around 7:30 pm and the place was packed. Luckily, we got seated fairly quickly b/c it was just me and my friend. There's no reservations on Tuesdays, I guess it's because tapas are half off. Croquetas de Cangrejo (Pan seared crab cakes. Served w/ mango Jalapeno salsa, w/ mixed greens) was delicious! Camaroncoco (Coconut crusted baby shrimp w/ passion fruit chipotle aioli) - nothing special. It was just fried shrimp with no special flavors. Tapas Mixtas which came with : Guacamole/ Pico de Galo/ Sweet Plantain/ Empanada/ Quesadilla de champignon/ Bolinhos de pescado. -This dish isn't half off though. Guacomole and sweet plantain were the only memorable things to this. I would say skip it. Drinks were also on special and they make it fairly strong. read more

Today, I brought a couple of friends to one of my all-time favorite restaurants, Yuca Bar. To our pleasant surprise, we arrived just a few minutes after 6 PM and were handed a menu with every item priced at $10. The server informed us that this special offer would only last until 6:30, so we wasted no time in placing our orders. We indulged in a delightful feast, enjoying guacamole and chips, fish tacos, chicken tacos, shrimp quesadilla, beef empanadas, and arepa jardinera. To complement our meal, we also took advantage of the happy hour drinks. When the bill arrived, we were ecstatic to find that it totaled under $100, including a generous 20% tip. Needless to say, we left the restaurant as a group of very content and satisfied individuals. read more

My first review and I am really excited is going to be about yuca. I've been here like 4 times, most of the time for drinks and some tapas. This last tuesday I came in with a group of 7 and decided to eat. It was a waaaaiiiittttt, it gets crowded, and the waiting went up to 45 min. the hostess looked confuse but eventually she asked the manager for a more accurate time since we wanna have half price tapas, after 40 min and 2 pitchers of sangria we were really happy and got seated. Even it was pass 8, we were honored with half price. OMG the food was off the hook. Everything was good. It was no rush. The service was nice. The only reason I wouldn't give this place a 5 is because it's really hot (temp) inside and it's so popular and packed they should invest in some a/c! (Although that doesn't stop the people from coming cuz their food and drinks are so great!). They are a bit pricey too which was a little hard for me to swallow but otherwise we had a great time. First time trying it, went with friends that have been there before and they love it and so did we! Did the taco platter, skirt steak skewers, cubano, and some shredded pork dish. All was really good and flavorful and the drinks were great too, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Very loud in there and fun! read more

Five stars for drinks at the bar, two for whatever we got at the table. The food we got was alright, and the carafe of caiprinha we got at the table was a little too sour and not too strong. The sangria we got was also too sweet we felt, and had barely enough wine in it. But then, we did continue at the bar and the drinks there were much better. The margaritas were really well balanced and strong. The vibe here is amazing! They have great music playing, and there was a great crowd here on the Saturday night we came here. Definitely more of a drinks place than a dinner joint. Go somewhere else for dinner, and then directly head to the bar here. read more

Great spot for catching up with a friend over drinks. It gets really loud as the night proceeds. I sat near the bar so it was spacing was a little tight. The place was packed around 6 pm on a Friday night. I guess people come for the happy hours that last til 8pm. The food was average. I really really liked the fuca fries. It's a must get if you're around. It was my first time trying it and it's really good. Portion is good for around two people. These portions isn't really worth the price because it's just average food with small portion. The Sangria was decent. I expected a little better since a lot of people gave great reviews. read more

Yuca Bar is definitely one of my favorite restaurant/bars in the city! The sangrias are the best I've had in NY and they're strong! The mojito and yuca sunrise are also amazing. You definitely get your money's worth. As for the food, it's amazing as well. The platano relleno is a must have! Other favorites are the arepas, tuna ceviche, croquetes de cangrejo, the fish tacos and of course, yuca fries. The restaurant service is okay, but the bartenders are awesome, especially Carlos. This is the restaurant that always bring my visitors to. If you like good food, drinks and music, this is the place to be in The East Village! read more

disgusting! service and flavorless food ! coconut fish was all dry i thought it was brillo! greased up homemade fries asked for suggestions and that's what we got a whole lot of messed up food i just walked in the dirty bathroom & threw up what i had tasted and it's true what someone else said they do treat other customers better than others !shame on them for being racist against their own kind ! and the burrito was cold and beans had no flavor but what can u expect from people who don't care ! they just care about their tips well here's a tip don't waste you're money or time at yuca!! unless you want a stomach ache!! read more

I recently visited Yuca Bar, and it was a 5-star experience from start to finish! The vibrant atmosphere immediately transported me to another world, full of energy and warmth. The flavors were simply extraordinary--each dish was a perfect blend of authentic spices and fresh ingredients. We stumbled upon this place while out in the East Village on a Saturday night. I was hungry so I made the group stop here and get some food and drinks. Bad idea! The service we had was awful. Our waiter barely paid attention to us. We would ask questions and he'd give rude answers, then he walked away when we weren't done talking to him. We had to flag him down again later to order. When we did order, our $11 appetizer was the size of my hand. Literally 3 bites. Who would pay $11 for that? Luckily, I split it between my friends and we left as soon as our drinks were done.
