Instead, it was just tomatoes and egg sauteed with noodles, with the only liquid being what came out of the tomatoes during cooking. I guess that's why they add on the sesame sauce. The noodles were really well-made. They were nicely al dente and pretty uniform in size even though they're pulled by hand. The tomato flavor wasn't strong enough, but the acidity of the tomato was there and was nicely balanced by the nutty taste of the sesame sauce. The cucumbers provided a refreshing crunch. The dish was missing a bit of spice. I also got a side of chili oil sliced pig ears. They normally sell a dish for $7, but I didn't want a full side of it and asked if they could just give me a smaller portion for cheaper. So the guy at the register asked for $3 and gave me a really generous portion of pig ears.
