I also asked for and received a few wontons in broth even though it's not on the menu. The wontons were delicious. E Noodle's wontons and dumplings are consistently excellent. While the wontons were terrific, the broth was horrible and has been for quite some time now. Our waiter, who was terrific, explained that the unpleasant fishy taste does indeed now come from fish! The broth used to be primarily chicken-based and was very fresh and delicious. Our waiter told us it's now made with chicken, pork bones and fish. The fish ruins the broth. Please E Noodle, go back to the chicken broth! On Wednesday and Saturdays, E Noodle receives roast duck from its Chinatown location. If the duck isn't stale, it's some of the best duck in the city! The cavity of the duck is rubbed with 5 spice powder and salt. So, one can have a great, reasonably priced meal (or feast with friends) at E Noodle. The restaurant is very spacious and calm. It would also be great if they stayed open a little later as they did pre-Covid.
