Me and my mom went to go see if there was a problem with my phone while there was a nationwide outage today January 14, 2026. The person working there had nothing but attitude. My mother is a very nice dainty af woman and she was very calm and she had some questions because she was confused, there was another Asian lady there as well and she was being very sweet and she had questions because she was confused. They were both met with customer service that felt like we didn't matter and their questions were too stupid to be asked. In today's society with the fkd up administration that we have the last thing that we need is someone in customer service who can't suck it up and do their job and just be kind and answer these old freaking women's questions without making them feel like they shouldn't be asking them in the first place because they should just know these things. I get it, old people are annoying with technology but you don't have to be an ahole about it especially when that's your job. Everyone is going through shit. There was a man who looked like he came from work and skipped his lunch for this problem. It was just awful customer service. Train your workers better, everyone is going through shit yet we still find ways to be kind. Not to mention the worker tried to talk down to me saying that if I go home I'll have Wi-Fi. I just came from my house that did not have Wi-Fi. Also Verizon you do suck in general, don't think people can't put two and two together on why the service is down for some people.

I was in the process to make the claim when the Verizon agent who was helping me shared I was due an upgrade so I did have a choice. Anyway it seemed fitting to just go to the Verizon store and upgrade rather than Verizon (Asurion insurance) sending me the same phone, which could possibly explode again in two days ! So I went to the Elmwood park location around 6:30pm Saturday evening and I was greeted and assisted by Jamier who was multitasking with several customers including me and doing a fantastic job! I am however disappointed in Verizon the company. Why should I have to pay a set-up fee and a bundle fee for a car charger, a screen protector and case for roughly 200.00. I mean my phone exploded for god's sake. Anyway, as I said before no one was hurt and the in-store customer service was spot on. But Verizon as a company are just distasteful in their consideration for customers. I mean the phone exploded .... they should have waived all of those fees. So my 4 stars are only for Jamier not for Verizon!

There is a police report that proves Carlos weaponized the police and falsely reported an assault.
