I don't write reviews often -- much less raving reviews like this one. I own two businesses -- one bricks and mortar in a more established market, and the other a newer, internet-only biz. When we reached a point where it was time to upgrade our computer equipment, Dan was there to help and guide us with an assortment of options that met both our needs and our budget. We're now fully up to date and loving it. Further, with the continued explosion of the internet and its capabilities, I had no real idea of how to promote my business on-line so that more customers could find us. And here's where the real distinction lies for these guys. There are any number of companies out there willing to take your money to help improve your internet presence -- but what I found time after time as sales reps sat across the desk from me was that they were in the "telling" mode -- with very little "listening" going on. What I mean is that these companies may have good ideas to improve your internet presence -- but (as the founder and owner of my company for 26+ years now) I think I have a better understanding of who my customers are and what they want. So someone "telling" me what I need is not as valuable as someone who is able to LISTEN and work hand in hand with me -- building on both our experience bases to make improvements. ITCSY does just that. How do I know? 60 days after we started working with them, my service provider contacted me -- we had so much traffic to our site we had to DOUBLE the amount of space we'd been using before. I contacted Tekhattan for their on-site service on Saturday around 6pm. They had two technicians (Dan and Alex) out to me that night. The technicians were very courteous, friendly and knowledgable. They were able to set up a time that would fit my schedule; they diagnosed my computer in less than 24 hours-- with their diagnosis they helped me find out what the problem was regarding my PC. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He identified the problem as a burned out SSD. He showed me how he determined the cause, and explained why it happens and how to prevent it in the future. He recommended a plan to fix it. Because we still had some time left in the hour, he ran a RAM test and did some tweaking to my RAM settings based on the test. It's not cheap to have them come to your house, but my guy did a good job and saved me a lot of time and uncertainty around what I was doing. I thought it was worth it, and would use these guys next time I have a problem I don't know how to solve.

I took the damaged thumb-drive into PC Mac Express for diagnosis to see if it could be fixed. They called back and said it would cost about $400 and there was only a 50/50 chance that it could be recovered. When I picked it up, there was a red wire attached to the board that had not previously been there. I found someone in Canada to look at it and said they would do it for $200 and I'd only have to pay if they recovered the data. The company in Canada attempted to recover the data but said it looks like the other company had done something to the chip and were likely holding the data 'hostage' so that no one else could get the data, so that my only choice was to go back to PC Mac Express. The scope of this technology is out of my range so I don't know what to believe but what I saw with my own two eyes was the extra red wire that had not been there when I dropped it off. When I called PC Mac to question this and what was happening, they claimed nothing had been done and they had not attached any wires. At the end of the day, I didn't get my data back and PC Mac said no work had been done when in fact, I saw that alterations had been made to the thumb drive. I wouldn't ever bring anything to them again because the story doesn't add up. Perhaps something had been done by the people who work for Michael without him being aware, but in that case, nothing was done by Michael to understand the discrepancy.

Updates would render some computers in the office almost non-functioning, forced updates would occur in the middle of the work day with no option to postpone them (one was in the middle of a client presentation!), and the last straw was when Nero blocked my access half way through my last day at work while I was finishing a project for a huge presentation my team was going to be making to a prospective client two days after my departure. I once worked at a start up where we used unlicensed software on used and outdated computers. This was worse.
