They were timely and showed up exactly when they were supposed to, were very communicative throughout the whole process, and were incredibly fast and super efficient!. When I first talked to them for a quote, they made it very easy as they walk you through the whole moving process. The person giving the quote makes you go room by room and list all the furniture that you are planning on moving to your new place. They then explain what's included in the price and email you a copy for your records. A $50 deposit is required to lock in your date and is credited towards your total at the end. Adil and his team works super fast and waste no time at all. They are very knowledgeable and work great together as a team. They finished our move 2 hours earlier than what was quoted! Amazing! All our furniture and belongings were packed wonderfully in their truck and all made it to our new place in their respective rooms without any issues. I highly recommend using Move4U the next time you need movers. Their pricing is very affordable and hiring them was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with 2 Guys and a Van was one disappointment…read moreafter another. The problems started before the move even began. The crew arrived over an hour late. The first truck didn't arrive until approximately 10:10 AM, and the second truck didn't arrive until around 10:20-10:30 AM. Yet my bill reflects a start time of 10:06 AM. I questioned the billing and never received a satisfactory explanation. During the move, the crew caused significant damage to my wall. Rather than taking ownership of the damage, I was simply told to "file a claim with Donna." I did exactly that, completed all of the required paperwork, submitted photographs, and waited. After following up multiple times with little communication, I was eventually offered a settlement that doesn't come close to covering the cost of the repairs. The most embarrassing part of the day occurred at my new building. I mistakenly directed the truck to the wrong loading area, and I fully accept responsibility for that. The building's maintenance manager politely came outside to redirect the movers. Instead of handling the situation professionally, members of the moving crew began making comments about him that he overheard. The situation escalated into a shouting match between your employees and the building manager while all of my belongings were still on the truck. I ultimately had to step in myself and tell everyone to stop arguing so the move could continue. The building manager was so disturbed by the behavior that he requested the company's information and stated he would consider banning 2 Guys and a Van from performing future moves in the building. That is beyond unacceptable. To make matters worse, after the move was completed, I asked if I could send one Zelle payment for the tip because I didn't have cash. I was told that was perfectly fine and that it would be split among the four movers. Several hours later, one of the movers texted me asking to confirm the amount of the tip, making it seem as though what I had given wasn't enough. I found it completely inappropriate to be contacted after the move regarding gratuity, especially after I had already tipped the crew in good faith. I gave this company every opportunity to make things right. I communicated directly with management, submitted the required claim forms, provided photographs, and attempted to resolve everything professionally. Instead, I was met with slow responses, minimal accountability, and an offer that I believe does not fairly compensate for the damage or the overall experience. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with damaged property, billing concerns, unprofessional behavior, and poor customer service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend 2 Guys and a Van. There are simply too many moving companies in Chicago to risk going through what I experienced. I have processed a formal complaint with the BBB , City of Chicago and contacted a legal firm.

Booking: I didn't…read morestart searching for movers until a week prior to my moving date (yes, I'm a natural-born procrastinator). I had a few quotes from several companies and ACM Movers gave me the best deal so I decided to book with them. They give you a window of time in which your movers will arrive. Mine was between 2-3 PM. They take a $50 deposit at time of booking (you pay the rest after the move is finished). They took my card over the phone for the deposit. Moving Day: On the day of my move, I received a call from them around 12:50 PM explaining their movers will be arriving late between 4-4:30 PM because of some issues with their moving truck. My window of arrival was between 2-3 PM, so although I was a bit disappointed since it was not a short delay, I do understand that sometimes things happen out of our own control. I am not an unreasonable person. I do appreciate that they let me know ahead of time instead of during my window of arrival. Communication is key for all relations and businesses. Arrival: They arrived at 4:15 PM. They wasted absolutely no time when they arrived. I was asked what they should and shouldn't be moving. While Daniil went over my moving information/details and pricing for me to sign, Vlad was already loading up my things to the truck. By the time I finished with the documents, half my things were already loaded. Daniil quickly joined Vlad thereafter. The Move: The move was swift and rapid, but with care. They finished loading up my things within half an hour of arriving. I was impressed! It has got to be the fastest move I've ever experienced and I've moved quite a bit in my lifetime. I am literally a nomad. When we got to my destination, it took them roughly 40 minutes to complete the move. I had a small storage space and I honestly didn't think all my belongings could fit but they magically made it happen and I was very happy because I really did not want to rent another space or go through the hassle of changing my storage unit. From time of arrival to time finished, it took them about 2 hours with some minutes to spare. My quote was for 2 hours and it was spot on with the information I had given them. Payment/Quote/Completion: $129/hour x 2 hours $129 for distance/mileage Total $387 If you go over your time slot then an increase in price will obviously take place. But, with how fast these guys work I don't think you'll see any surprise additional costs, so just make sure everything is in order on your end with scheduling elevator reservation at your designated properties to avoid any unforeseen circumstances. This is just Moving 101. You can pay with cash, Zelle, or Venmo. I'm not sure if they take cards, but I paid through Venmo with my remaining balance. I would inquire about acceptable payments if you don't have any of the options mentioned above. Overall Experience: Although there were some mishaps with the arrival time, these guys were diligent and professional with their work and made up for it with their brisk and smooth move. My things are still intact and not damaged, which is most important to me. All other miscellaneous issues I can overlook. But, that's just me. These guys take their work seriously and you can just tell. I am planning to use them again for my next move and hopefully I can request for the same guys (Vlad and Daniil), but I'm sure everyone in their company is just as good.
