Only giving 2 stars because the movers were nice and timely. However, if you want to be told your price is "locked in" it's not. Also, if you want to pay $1017 to move 20 mins away for 3 hours worth of moving and your stuff to be damaged this is the company for you! Jonathon told me my price was "locked in" bec when I set my appointment up no one else was scheduled for that day. My first est quote was $525 including the movers at a min of 2 hours and $100 transportation fee. Well, when calling to confirm he upsold me on adding another person to make it go quicker. I did some thinking and he said it would be $199/hour for 3 movers and I asked if the $100 travel fee would stay the same. I was told yes by him and one of their other workers. Well I go to pay and the transport fee was $199. I called Jonathon he gave me a run around explantation stating that when we added the third guy the transport fee is changed. I told him I was told different and he said no and gave me the run around. Mind you the $199 transport fee does not include fuel charges. I was also charged for a king mattress bag and a 6 pack of tape that was not used. They used tape to wrap my tv, but certainly not that much. I also don't own a king mattress and the movers did not move my mattress to my new address as I got a new mattress. They moved my old Queen to the dumpster with no bag. I had a small end table/cabinet for my cats bed that was damaged as well as my desk being completely damaged. They also dropped a box of mine due to one of the movers tripping and dropping it which broke some things inside. When I brought this to Jonathon's attention he said WE dropped a box? I said yes. He said well if the box wasn't packed by us they don't cover that, however in their Terms and Conditions on their website says items not packed by them are not covered unless they were mishandled. Well that is the definition of being mishandled. I have emailed their support team as well as Jonathon and have not received a response. They sent me a claims packet for the desk and cabinet. The claims packet has you agree to a disclosure stating if you leave a bad review you will owe $1898.72, for them to maybe "accept" your claim for damaged items. I would rather take the L on the items damaged to leave an honest review and not be subject to the run around from Jonathon. read more

I am reviewing this company in hopes of helping others and keeping accountability for this company. I am so disheartened about our decision to support a local business. My husband and I called Jonathan, the owner, a week and a half before our move. He had my husband go over every piece of furniture in every room of our home. We lived in a four bedroom home with an office, two living rooms, 4 dressers, several large mirrors, a sectional, other couches etc. It was all described to Jonathan and we told him we were moving it with UPACK so all we needed was help unloading the trailers. He told us he could have it done in 2-3 hours with three men and he told us they charge by the hour. He told us it would be around $800-900. I was super skeptical it would get done in that timeframe because we were having All My Sons pack and load up the trailers with an 8.5 hour day and FOUR men. I highly doubted it would get done in 2-3 hours. I told him, I'm sorry I don't think it will get done then and we would like to shop other quotes. He told us they were experts in moving, he had no doubt it would get done then, and he priced us with a discount at $770 for three hours max- said he doubted it would go over time and we would get three men out so it would definitely get done then. Let me start by saying we paid $1550 for this move. They did NOT send out three men the day of the move. They called the day of and let us know one called out and they still expected it to get done in 2-3 hours with two "experienced" movers. It was the worst experience moving I have ever had. After two hours, the movers were exhausted. They sent older men to move a 28ft x 10ft trailer and 5ft of a second 28ft x 10ft trailer. We called multiple times basically begging them to send more men to help these guys and they said they had no one available. During the second time we called I said, how is it possible that they expected two men to do this big job and reiterated the size of the trailers and how All My Sons had sent us 4 men for an 8.5 hour day to pack AND load. Tania, a manager, said they thought we were using the smaller option of UPACK and had no idea we were going with a 28ft trailer. I was stunned at this comment. They told us to list every item in our home and guaranteed they were experts, but somehow predicted all our furniture would fit in a much smaller trailer. Meanwhile the movers took several breaks, debated us on whether items would fit into the home, chose to carry lighter things we told them we could carry ourselves, and damaged a 7ft mirror after removing the protective gear against our request. We were told we would receive reimbursement for the mirror and that Jonathan would contact us Monday morning after the Saturday move, but we still have not heard back regarding the claim or the move itself. When we finally finished 7.5 hours later, we were told we had to pay the full $1550 or they would take us to civil court. We asked for some sort of discount because we were promised THREE men and that was the reason we agreed to move forward. They refused and we ended up paying the full amount. The company told me my total would be $670, then 5 days later charged my card an additional $200 with zero notice or confirmation. When I questioned it, the owner said their rates are "flexible" and can change at any time -- something they never disclose upfront. My move was scheduled for 9:00 AM on Saturday, and the movers didn't arrive until 4:50 PM. Completely unacceptable. Jonathan was extremely unprofessional and dishonest throughout the process. Tonja approved a discount because of all the issues and delays, and Jonathan even confirmed it was approved -- then they charged my card anyway. He personally did a full walkthrough of our home and gave us a worst-case scenario estimate of $3,500. We were told this was padded and conservative. We were first-time customers, so we trusted his expertise. Final bill? $4,324. And they didn't even move everything. They offered to come back for the rest for another $800. We declined and had to finish the move ourselves. To be clear: this isn't about the movers--they were fine. This is about Jonathon's inaccurate estimate, material costs that were more than double what he quoted, and his complete refusal to take responsibility. Jonathon simply pointed to the fine print that says "this is an estimate" and suggested that we should've updated our inventory. But the issue wasn't extra furniture, in fact we moved a car load of boxes between walkthrough and moving day. He saw everything we owned and miscalculated, and we paid the price. At first I thought this was just a rare mistake. But after the move, I found the Yelp page--1.6 stars. Multiple people describe this same exact experience. This company brands itself around transparency and trust. But the more I read, the more it seems like a pattern. Don't be fooled by the slick branding or "Top 3 Moving Companies in Denver" award--that's based entirely on inflated Google reviews. This is a predatory company, stay away. They sent 5 guys to pack and move my house and I'm pretty sure only one of them actually did any work the entire time. They were so incredibly slow. They also didn't label a single box they packed- which is now a nightmare to unpack. Their packing job was also horrible. Nothing was wrapped well and expensive kitchen appliances were just thrown in a box. They also did not put furniture bolts with the furniture so hopefully we can find them eventually. Last month, based on their advice, I arranged for another storage unit. However, they refused to release my items, forcing me to remain with them. Despite initially being told I couldn't continue with them due to their relocation, I ended up staying after a conversation with Jonathan, only to face these threats again. Not only did they increase the cost by $30 every month putting the monthly rate from $150 to $179.69; they then insisted I obtain insurance for $1 million worth of my own belongings just to move them on and off the property. Presently, they failed to process my payment on time and are now blaming me for their oversight, threatening to auction my items or leave them on the street by the end of the day. As a single mom striving to make ends meet, this added stress is overwhelming. I do not recommend Your Neighbors Storage. I only mistake I made is that I trusted him and signed the contract document. 4. I also have recorded proof of everything said above. This company use unethical and illegal business practices to rob money from their customers. Here is the chain of events: Sep 16th 2024: Company's owner Jonathan came to my house to provide me a quote for moving. He promised me (verbally) that his quoted amount is the maximum amount they will take from me. He explicitly mentioned that if it takes more time than his estimate, he will not charge me extra. He had me signed the contract document that didn't contain the terms he promised verbally(Big mistake from my side). I also paid $150 refundable deposit. A couple days before moving, I had a call with his employee David. I asked him that if I add a few more items, will it be okay. He said there will be extra charges. This completely makes sense and there is no problem till here. I also clarified that if I do NOT add extra items then charges will be same as per quote. On Oct 5th 2024, A day before moving, David called me and told me that the they will charge hourly, whatever it takes. When I confronted him, then he said that the maximum they will charge is 10% on top of the quote. I was warned at that time and I clearly told him to not move any extra item and just stick to the original quote and payment terms. It was all verbal, so I also emailed them with detailed explanation of what I want and what were terms of payment. In that email, I clearly mentioned that I do not want to move any extra item at all. They never acknowledged my email. Oct 6th, 2024, the day of moving: Crew came and they denied any knowledge of the conversation between me, Jonathan and David. They told me that they will charge hourly, whatever it takes. I told them about the understanding that the max I should pay is 10% on top of the quotation. They denied to provide any service with that understanding and left my house without any moving at all. They moved it and stored it for a month! We were told they would arrive between 9:30-10am because a truck broke down. They got there at 2pm. Note the crushed box labeled fragile. And the curtains not even packed in a box. Coats were used for packing things. My mom lives extremely nice. From the looks of these pictures, it all looks like junk. Two hours later they charged me an additional $200 so, I called to find out what was going on. They told me that there was a glitch in their tablets and the total was wrong and because I put the deposit on my card, they were able to charge whatever they wanted, after the fact, without authorization. I wish I could say that them being 3 hours late was the worst part. I have never experienced such bad service in my life. We were basically managing two teenagers who were actively trying to steal money from us the entire day. When they first arrived they wanted us to sign off on an estimate that included an additional hour of travel time that was never discussed, they called their boss (more on him later) and had it removed. Then throughout the move we would find them sitting in our home or their truck on their phones and eating. If we were actively helping them load the entire time they would have taken at least 5 and a half hours to load a truck with an already completely packed 2 bedroom apartment. For example it took 45 minutes to move our tv stand, island, and tv. We had the truck packed from 12-2:45 pm then we unpacked it all together from 5-6 pm. The boys then tried to bill us for an additional hour and when i told them to get it corrected they created a new invoice that only reduced it by 15 minutes. When I asked for another correction they asked that I call their boss, the owner of the company. Admittedly I was angry speaking with him, it was an all around horrible experience and I didn't like fighting for them to just bill me correctly. He admitted that they lied on their clock out but said that we were nickel and dimming them and only reduced it by 15 minutes because although we were done by 2:45 they sat in their truck doing god knows what until 3:17. They also killed a $150 plant I didn't even ask them to move. The boy asked for water and while I was getting it for him he grabbed a 4 foot tall money tree by its trunk and just pulled it completely out of the pot. It was shocking to watch honestly. I cried for about an hour after everything was said and done. Moving is stressful and we were hiring this to relieve some of this stress but talking to Jonathan and being taken advantage of by his team completely ruined any hope of that. Their work ethic seemed uncommon. They were extremely respectful of our property and took the extra effort to ensure a world class move. My moving guys were great minus a large chunk from my daughters $2,000 bedroom set headboard (pictured). This is the two stars I'm giving. They were on time (kind of), friendly and excellent at communication. However, just like a couple previous reviews, I was quoted $1198.65 and ended up paying $1837.15. I was told over the phone my estimate was locked in with my deposit. This of course was not true. This is confusing as I moved my entire two bedroom apartment down to my garage from the third floor by myself minus the couch to try to help out. I even helped move stuff with the movers. My personal car was full on the way to my destination address. They had the exact destination at the time of quote and flights of stairs etc. IN STATE MOVE. Would I go with this company again? No. Are the movers great? Absolutely. Hired this company to move me. Original estimate was wrong. Also under estimated my load and needed a third truck which they could not provide on the move day. During the move several items were damaged including an expensive dresser. I filed a claim and sent pictures. I still have not been compensated several months later. I have called several times but keep being told they are running behind on claims. Called again today and was told I was threatening them because I told them I needed a resolution or I would have to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I wish I had read the reviews of this Company before believing them and hiring them to move us. The first crew was great and efficient, however, the second crew that was supposed to show up at 8:00 with the first crew didn't show up until 1:00. There was 1 guy out of 3 that knew what he was doing, therefore extending the move by several hours. They broke a piece of furniture during the move and the one guy on the crew said he filed a claim, however, the Owner claims he knows nothing of it. The first truck took out a branch from my neighbors tree, I called Jonathan, he asked if I had pictures and of course I did, he said he would call me back and never did. My neighbor had to cut this branch down and into several pieces and then we disposed of it for Jonathan. Jonathon didn't have enough respect to even call my neighbor and apologize or clean up their mess or offer to get an Arborist to check out the tree. I also had to clean up the mess in the house we moved from that the movers left. They couldn't figure out after an hour how to put the door back onto the Freezer, so my husband had to do that too. I wish I could say the worst thing about this move was the fact that they were 5.5 hours late. Instead, the worst part is one of the office staff (a male) who was verbally abusive. The day prior to the move, this man called me to share that the move was confirmed but possibly delayed due to weather. The message was unclear and I asked for clarification on when to expect the movers and the man responded by speaking down to me and yelling at me. The next day, the move was set to start at 10 am and I was given a window of 11-2. I learned at 1pm that movers couldn't come til 3. I called and spoke to a woman - she offered a modest discount for the delay. Movers did not arrive til 330. When it came time to pay, the discount was not applied and there was a surprise fuel surcharge fee. I called the office to discuss and rather than having a rational conversation, I spoke to the same man as the day before - I was screamed at and called a liar and that the discount hadn't been offered. He claimed to have been listening in to the conversation I had with the woman and said he would just charge my card - I pleaded with him to speak to the woman and he claimed he didn't have to because everything was recorded. I pleaded with him to listen to the recording and he refused. Nearly in tears and terrified that the company would leave with my stuff still on the truck, I hung up. Shortly after, he called back and indicated that I was correct and he was applying the discount. I don't know if this man is the owner but I can't express how inappropriate his behavior was. I was already thinking about the glowing review I would write after I moved in to my new home. Fast forward to that day... Ray and Chris were fantastic. I have never experienced such nastiness and unprofessionalism in my life. And everyone onsite was in agreement. She was asked to leave the worksite multiple times by me, my family and others from Your Neighbors. She refused and was literally throwing my things from the back of the van to the front before Ray finally convinced her to go sit in the truck. Hard to believe it could get worse, but it did. The team then could not locate the furniture hardware that Your Neighbors previously packed so they left saying Jonathan would call us to get someone out there to re-assemble everything per the agreement. Long story short, that never happened. We called him multiple times to get someone out to finish the job and ultimately he refused saying they were too busy and even got nasty with us several times. The owner came out to the house and quoted my wife $2500 to move our 4 bedroom house. Did not say anything would be extra if it "didn't fit" on the truck or anything. They were to move the on Wednesday, but on Tuesday my wife received a call saying they needed to move on Friday instead. which was supposed to be the day the new owners took over. On Friday they showed up with 2 budget rent a trucks. They started out great, then took a break and smoked pot. I don't care if people smoke, but we hired you for a job. once they smoked they were worthless. they started throwing boxes and stuffing breakables into boxes that didn't fit. Then they filled their two trucks. the only things left at the house were our appliance. They unloaded at the new house and took off. 4 days later I finally got out of the hospital and we still didn't have the appliances. we had to pay more for them to finally get our appliances. over all we paid $4400 for horrible service. I hired Your Neighbors Moving & Storage recently to move my 2,500 SF house in Littleton over to my new home in Highlands Ranch. I met with the owner, Jonathan, to review the items in my home and got a free estimate. (He was willing to come to my home to do a free, in-home estimate, which was nice!) The estimate seemed more than fair, so I went ahead and booked my move! A few days before the move I received a follow up call from the manager, Joe, confirming all my info and the move date/time. Nice touch. The morning of the move I received a call and text from Zach, the guy who would be leading the crew. They were on time and enroute to my home! Upon their arrival, imagine my delight to see that they had bought me a house-warming gift!! A beautiful candle, hand lotion, a roll of TP and other items! Such an incredibly nice gesture! Zach, Freddy and Aaron showed up ready to rock n' roll! They worked quickly and efficiently to load up my belongings, while taking a moment to give my dogs a quick scratch behind the ears! They were so friendly, professional and polite! About an hour into the move, I got a nice surprise, the owner, Jonathan, called me just to check in and make sure everything was going great, which it was! Before I knew it, we were packed up and heading to my new home! At the new house, the crew worked quickly to get the truck unloaded while taking great care of my belongings!
