It's mostly counter service but still deserving of at least a nominal tip. Ask about their off menu kakuni don! Delicious. Oishii! Theres often a wait if you go during the rush hours. Especially weekends. Its a small spot with a single table and a diner counter.

No frills, simple menu and the chef seemed exacting and totally focused on his craft. I ordered the original shoyu ramen with chasu and red spicy sauce, while wife had the Wafu Shoyu ramen with chicken. Mine was robust and had a clean taste, although I felt the broth was a bit light for my taste compared to some NYC joints. Wife's ramen had even more watery broth - I think because she ordered the "wafu" broth style which menu claimed had no meat, and together with lean chicken meat without much fat, we both agreed it was tad bit boring. I think it's a matter of chef's philosophy and not necessarily a bad thing, but I preferred a bit richer, more viscous broth than this one. We would stop by again if we're in the area, but won't go out of our way for it either. Still, a welcome addition to the East Bergen County area!

Very disappointed…read more Salted Cucumber appetizer average at best. Lacking flavor. Sushi rolls sampled were below average. Fried octopus ball were okay. Very hot and lacking flavor. Fried chicken ramen. Broth not very hot. Underdeveloped broth flavor. Ramen was good consistency. Very light on the greens and other additions to the ramen. Fried chicken cutlets star of the show. Very light, hot and crispy. Pork ramen. Same as above. Pork was fair at best. Very fatty but tender. And what's with the corn in the ramen. That's for a cup of noodle. Which actually has a better taste profile than this ramen broth. Service was good. Waiter was very sweet and welcoming. Prices overboard for the quality they are serving. Will not return.

I was so happy to see Dimsum on the menu until I saw the prices! Way more expensive than what you get in the city! So I opted for the seafood ramen lunch special for $17 which came with a choice of 2 sides. Service was quick. The place was clean with a lot of tables. I read some of the reviews before coming here and they were right, the broth was not hot enough and was a little bland. So I was very disappointed. I decided to try their sesame balls despite the price - $8.49 for 2 pieces since I was already here hoping that would make it better. Unfortunately it also missed the mark. I saw other people order noodle dish and fried rice and left with clean plates - maybe those taste better. I really hoped this place would be good.

Some of us got coffees which took a bit but they were delicious. Definitely worth the wait. They have a good kids menu too. We got the frychos with chorizo as an appetizer which I've always loved but everyone at the table enjoyed them. Although I have my regular favorites I decided to try something off the brunch menu and I'm glad I did. I got the chilaquiles with green sauce and carne asada. It was very good. My only complaint was the steak wasn't cut up but that could be a personal preference. It tasted great. My husband got the breakfast torta with chorizo and really liked it. My mother in law got the breakfast omelet and she's very picky but loved it. The service was great the entire time. She even took a group photo for us at the end.

Consommé served warm ( not acceptable it must be hot) Shrimp taco had very overcooked shrimp. Seasoning barely noticeable ( one tortilla so it fell apart when I picked it up) Original spicy torta: this restaurant does not have or use refried beans for tortas . They didn't give me a meat option they said oh we made a birria torta we thought it's what you wanted. They offered to swap it but if you are familiar with chefs and cooks you just no thank you and take it. According to the staff they are a California style restaurant? I've seen California tortas and they are the same as New York. The protein options did not include Milanesa style chicken or steak Very nice very clean restaurant. The young lady who took the order comped us a lime Aqua Fresca and a sample of churros in hopes we will return. I made no complaints as the order was to go. Birria flavor was good although lacking in thst clove cinnamon aroma.

I really wanted to love this place since i thought it was going to be a cute local ramen shop. But…read morei was a little disappointed to be honest. I ordered 3 short rib ramens for my family. Ive tried so many ramen shops both in northern jersey as well as japan so i am well acquanted with the different types of ramen. I was a little disappointed to see that there was really no ramen variety. When i came and asked about the special, the shop was out so i was basically forced to buy 3 shoyu ramens. (Usually theres a choice of shio, miso, shoyu but there was no option for those here) Unfortunately, the "ramen" thats served here also does not taste like ramen at all. The soup base was actually quite bland and did not have the signature shoyu taste. The use of cabbages and carrots were not something i expected in my ramen either. I think if these were advertised as a noodle soup that would be more acceptable, but to say that it was ramen was a stretch. However, the egg was perfectly cooked and the noodles themselves were good. My family also ordered the buns which were a bit cold and soggy at the bottom. Overall the service was excellent and friendly so I give this a few stars. While I really wanted this to be my favorite local ramen shop, i was quite disappointed with the "ramen" taste. However, if you dont expect that familiar taste then maybe this is the place for you.
