Young Hawaii Homes boast about providing all these sterling services and qualities of character and yet the company agent, Lily Cheung, is a poor example of these specialties. How can Young Hawaii Homes say they are the best in the area and provide exemplary customer service when they clearly do not? Maybe they should reevaluate who they hire. I don't know how long Lily has been a real estate agent. Quite frankly, it doesn't matter. What matters is she had a cold, perfunctory attitude by questioning our real estate offer. I feel she treated us unjustly! I'm tired of businesses who say they are the best, but then practice bad business etiquette.
Here are the facts and truth of the matter. My husband and I made an offer above the asking price for a condo which was listed with Young Hawaii Homes. We were prequalified and included the official letter from our mortgage company. In addition, we included a personal letter stating how thrilled we would be to call this place our home.
What feedback did we receive from Lily Cheung? Absolutely zero, nada, nothing!
1. Only silence initially ensued and lack of communication. Our agent had to initiate the communication continually throughout the entire process. In fact, Lily allowed our contract to expire without telling us anything. Communication was thoroughly one-sided. If she was too busy to call back, she should have implemented an auto response in her email program stating, "Got your email. will get back to you shortly."
2. No personal interest or appreciation of our offer. She didn't thank us for the offer and the letter we submitted, then did exactly the opposite and expressed doubt if we were a serious buyer. This was due to a comment I made with the owner present during the showing about other buildings possibly blocking the view. Lily was not at the showing. So I still don't know if the owner read our letter which stated we loved the unit and would be most appreciative if they selected us.
3. Rejection of our offer. How is this possible? Lily stated all offers would be seriously considered and reviewed by Thursday. However, we never heard back from them until Saturday and only after our agent contacted her. But our contract had already expired so we withdrew our offer. Perhaps the company suffers from an excess of gluttony and profit!
Young Hawaii failed to adhere to their own motto of "Communication, Commitment and Trust." They failed miserably! Do not list your home with this real estate company. You will be neglected, ignored, spurned and disappointed. read more
