It was just another day out doing Uber rides and delivering food. All day long, I was like…read moreSpider-Man saving the day against people's hunger. Then at night, I turned into the Dark Knight, patrolling the streets like Batman to fight late-night cravings.
While I was picking up an order from this place, I asked the staff if the food was really good. She said yes. I then asked if anybody ever gets sick from eating it, and she said no. That's how I knew it was a clean place where people actually wash their hands while making food. So, here we are! I went back to visit this place just like I promised--because I never break a promise.
I took my kids along with me, and let me tell you, this was one of the best Spanish food spots I've ever eaten at! (The only other place that competes is in Lancaster, but this spot is right in the heart of Steelton, PA.)
Now, I must say, we got the stewed steak and the stewed chicken. To my liking, the ingredients and spices weren't the best on the meats. However, the rice and beans were beyond amazing. It was so good that my kids actually asked for more while we sat down to dine! If the kids like it, you know it's really good--especially since my kids normally don't like Spanish rice and beans just because of the color.
Overall, the place has plenty of parking. The bathroom is very, very clean, which gives me confidence that the kitchen is clean, too. The meat may be a little bit on the bland side, but the rice is definitely worth getting. On top of that, the staff is amazing--very polite and attentive to every need. The tables could use a little more attention, but I don't think many people sit down and eat inside; most folks seem to be in a rush to get home and enjoy it in the comfort of their own house.
