My massage therapist suggested I try yoni steaming as a detox method for my body. Although I was unfamiliar with it, I reached out to the owner on Instagram and scheduled an appointment. The owner asked me about my desired herbs, as different herbs cater to specific conditions. Unsure of what to choose, I shared my health concerns with her, and she recommended suitable herbs based on my needs. Upon arrival, I was instructed to undress and cover myself in a thick cover that traps steam. The owner guided me through different positions to optimize the steaming process. I highly advise bringing a water bottle for hydration and AirPods to tune out any background noise. I had forgotten both items during my initial visit, but I still managed to enjoy a rejuvenating 45-minute session. You get to choose lemonade or mamaki tea to drink after your session. My favorite is the mamaki tea. For first-time visitors, the cost of a 45-minute session is $35, while subsequent sessions are priced at $60. Alternatively, you can choose to pre-purchase five sessions for $200, amounting to $40 per session. The owner has a warm and caring nature. She frequently reaches out, sharing recommendations on natural healing methods and herbal teas. She genuinely cares about her clients' health and overall well-being. It's very heartwarming.
I've been coming to Yoni Steam Honolulu for years now and each visit has been exceptional. Yoni steaming is ancient practice that is so relaxing and has so many incredible benefits. The spa is conveniently located on Kapahulu Ave. and is so clean and well maintained. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted and shown to the pristine locker rooms where you will store your belongings and change into your mumu and socks. The dress has a slit in the back to easily sit on yoni steam designed chair over an herbal broth. You can pick different mixtures based on your personal needs, and I usually go with herbs that focus on tightening. Your yoni steam comes with snacks and your choice of a glass water, tea or wine. You even have the option to pick a goddess card and read about who you've selected. You can relax for up to an hour. It's such a wonderful experience and I try to come in at least once a quarter. It's the perfect way to start the new year!
First time trying Yoni and what a treat. Decided to enjoy this experience with my girls and we had a blast. Located in busy Kapahulu above Starbucks in a cute unique building. Pretty good parking around the back and once inside no traffic noise. This business is so cute and nicely arranged. There is a dressing area to change into your teepee like dress with a secure locker. * Tip: Remember to go to the bathroom before you start. You sit on a wooden chair with a hot pot underneath with nice smelling herbs. This is about a 45-50 minute treatment of bliss. The warmth feels so soothing and healing. Just a great feeling. The hostess is very sweet and accommodating and explained every step. She served great snacks, wine, tea, juice and sparking water. This was a great let your hair down bonding experience and we look forward to coming back. There are several seats so this venue is a great idea for good friends, close moms and daughters or just to meditate alone.
What an incredible experience! The benefits of vaginal steam outweigh the hesitance of trying it out! I went in for the thrill of relaxation and after giving birth to my 5 month old at the time. I love the atmosphere and aura this place provides...definitely a great escape from reality for women/moms. I went with a long time friend visiting from Cali and although we were giggly and whatnot, I took this experience as an unforgettable one. They offer refreshment, snacks, and something to read but we didn't partake much in that since my friend and I had a lot to catch up on. I'd definitely go again when I find the me time to!
I came here after purchasing a groupon and was pleasantly surprised. The energy in the space was very calming and relaxing. The space is filled with natural light which comes in through these billowy curtains, giving a kind of ethereal vibe. The practitioner was very warm and welcoming, giving me my forms to fills out and preparing the locker room for me. You get a choice of what color gown which was a nice touch and little lace footies so you don't have to walk barefoot through the place. While you change, the practitioner prepares your steam based on the goals you wish to achieve and there were a lot to choose from ranging from fertility issues, hormone balancing, and mood issues to headaches and emotional trauma release. Once ready, you are led to your personal steam seat and and relax for 45 minutes. My steam smelled like roses which was very pleasant. You are offered all sorts of beverages and snacks while you get your steam on. If you would like to hold in more of the heat, you have the option of draping a blanket over you lap. It works well at holding in steam, but makes you warm, a detail they have anticipated because shortly after I draped my blanket over my lap, I was offered an ice cold towel with a lovely citrus fragrance which was very refreshing and did the trick to cool me down. After the 45 minutes are up, your pot is turned of and you are allowed to rest there until the water cools. The locker room is well stocked with several high end products to refresh with with prior to dressing. Overall, it was a really neat and interesting experience. You definitely feel at peace when you leave and very connected to your feminine self. It is certainly an experience I would like to try again, just to gauge whether I notice any differences. It seems like an ideal place to connect with a friend to share in an enriching experience together.
My Sister & I tried this place for the very first time today. Let me just say...we just finished...and we gonna go back. Right now. I am beyond happy with our experience. I love every single thing about it. As we walked in, we were greeted with a beautiful smile by Témar. She is so gracious and sweet. The ambiance is absolutely perfect. The ombre is my jam. Allison dropped by to say Hello and chat with us for a bit. She is perfect. Goddess to Goddess, she is perfect. During our Yoni, we were served with white wine, yummy goodies, and not to mention the goddess cards that just put this experience to the top. Oh my gosh. I can't say enough about this place. Relaxing, Amazing, and We cant waiiit to go back! Thank you so much Témar & Allison for your hospitality. We love you!
This place was really cute and clean. *WARNING* If you have major sore chafing/sores between your upper inner thigh/ inner bikini line the you will feel uncomfortable and somewhat burning pain. (I was able to use the covering to fan my self so it wouldnt be too bad) *you will probably sweat a lot as well. **bring a book or have a movie you plan to watch while you wait while you steam. Customer Service: excellent! Parking: Ample parking which was great! Text or call to make an appointment. They'll text you to remind you about your appointment and instructions on how to find their location. You park in the parking lot where starbucks and jamba juice is and then walk towards starbucks on the main kapahulu Ave. side and you'll see a stair case going up. Location: easy to find. -When you walk in you check in. - fill out a questionnaire and turn it in. -Then you'll be taken to the changing/locker room where your given a locker with a key to leave your personal items and change into the gown they provide and they also give you these lil cute socks so that your not walking around barefoot. -they prepare your blend of herbs and set up where you'll be sitting while you change. Afterwards you'll be shown to your yoni steam area. -I took my phone with me with my headphones since I knew I was going to be sitting for awhile. -they'll ask if you want any refreshments, snacks and a goddess card. (You don't need to do the card if you don't want to) there is also a lil bell, you can use that to call them if you need anything. -I was siting over the steam for about 50 mins then the attendant came to turn off my pot. Overall I recommend it and I will definitely be back. I hope you try this place out and hope you like it as well!
Great atmosphere! I loved the drink service & snacks that comes with the package. We had a little issue with appt time. The large party before us set our appt back by a couple mins, but the owner went above and beyond to make our time there more amazing. It was our first time there and I wasn't sure about how beneficial the Yoni steam would be. I'm sure if you keep going it will provide many benefits like any other holistic services. At a price of 150/per session it can get a little pricey (But you can't put a price on good health). I think if you're wanting to try it, go ahead and do it. Thank you for taking care of us

Just had a party at Yoni Steam with 5 of my girlfriends! It was so relaxing and such a blast. Best day spa I've been to. Way more relaxing than any massage. The service was amazing too. The girls there keep the snacks and wine coming and they are just so sweet. My mom and sister are visiting the island next month and I cant wait to take them here for a girls day on their vacation! For sure best day spa experience of my life!!
Treated my mom to her first Yoni Steam! I had one day for a yelp event, and I knew I had to take my mom here to reap the benefits of Yoni steam. We were able to find plenty of parking in the Starbucks parking lot, and walked our way over to the building. We were greeted by our host Tamar, she was so sweet and nice, she made sure we filled out our paperwork first so we could get the right mix of herbs for us. After we changed in our robes we were taken to our steam and lucky us it just us two, but the curtains are set up so you honestly get a lot of privacy while you're steaming, and can even close it around you if you want. Tamar brought us yummy refreshments such as cheesecake, coconut water, cashews and chips. We also got to draw our goddess cards, I couldn't believe that our cards were alphabetically after each other after drawing them random. The steam was so relaxing, I suffer from painful cramps, and my mother is going through menopause, I think the steam is great way for us women to take care of ourselves and care for our Yoni. The owner is also running a special and charging the steams for $45 compared to $99, so book one immediately.
I was in doubt to begin with, yet I dove in and tried it. Luckily I found a deal through Groupon and finally tried Yoni Steam. I did a bit of research on my own just to have an idea. Other Yelpers review was so helpful. Location was a bit hard to find. In a nutshell: park by Jamba Juice/tanning salon/Starbucks. Walk towards to Tenkkaipin, but stop right by Edmonds Investments--the narrow stair will be on your left. That will lead you upstairs. A sign will also lead you which room to go. My reflection: -The room is very relaxing. It really gives you that "majestic relaxing ambiance ." Just seating in their receiving area was already relaxing with all the aroma and music. -The service was awesomely great. Again majestic. I feel really pampered in some ways. She takes care of the guest one a time. Overall experience and expectations are above average. I met the owner and she is pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend this for women catching up, bridal shower, or for tea time- with steam. It's a great personal treat to make some feel a queen.
If I could give this place more stars I would. I had the amazing chance of experiencing this. At first I was like what?? Steam your what?? I was in shock I didn't even know what to think or expect. But I just said hey what the heck if it's good for you then I'm in. As soon as I walked in I felt relaxed. Very beautiful peace music was playing, I knew I was on for a treat. I love the feeling of being in a spa. The smell, the feeling it's just awesome. I filled out a quick form. Basically a small release form and some information to ensure your best Yoni Steam experience is met. Allison the owner is a Queen Goddess!! I absolutely love her. If I could make a miniature size of her and stick her in my pocket I would. She is so loving and caring. You can tell she is very passionate in what she does and very wise with great words. I could listen and talk with her all day. A very amazing woman!! This place might sound weird but I promise you it is the best. I feel more focused and in touch with myself. I feel energized and motivated. Relaxed and free minded. You have to try this place. You won't regret it

I've used this service several times. They are real professionals here. It is a clean, relaxed, and beautiful environment. More importantly, I have experienced results that my medical practitioner could not achieve. I'm post-menopausal. Suffice to say all discomforts are associated with menopause and then I'm told to live with it. Yoni steaming has eliminated much of that. It helps that this place makes it such a pampering experience. read more

While I frequently use Yelp for recommendations and tips, I rarely take the time to write a review. But my recent experience at Yoni Steam Honolulu was worthy of my time and effort. I hope that many read this and decide to experience it for themselves. They will NOT be disappointed. I wanted to celebrate my birthday with girlfriends by doing something "different" that would be relaxing and rejuvenating. A friend suggested Yoni Steam Honolulu. I am so glad she did! It was an exceptional experience from the moment I emailed Madi. She responded promptly and professionally. I was a little hesitant that my friends and I would enjoy such an intimate experience 'together.' But, Madi made everything feel so effortless. By the time we arrived for our group appointment, we were all extremely excited, almost inspired, to try this ancient practice. The location is truly a hidden gem. You can't tell from the outside but once you step over the threshold you are transported to a comfortable and tranquil space filled with natural sunlight and the aromas of fresh herbs. Beautifully decorated, it is clean and convenient with lockers, dressing tables, and private changing rooms. Everything about the space seems to welcome you in and encourage you to embrace your femininity. Madi prepared a special mixture of herbs and crystals for each of us--personalizing the group experience for each lady. This was fantastic because I wanted my guests to feel like it was a shared experience but wanted them to feel special too. Madi showed truly gracious and generous service. We each had a silver bell we could ring when we needed our glasses filled or the temperature of the steam adjusted. Speaking of glasses, the deluxe steam includes refreshments and drinks. I made my own Cha-Coochie boxes for my girlfriends, but Madi supplied the bubbly! Tea and juice were also options, but it was a celebration, so we all splurged on Prosecco. We also received a Goddess reading. You select a random Goddess card and Madi provides a book with explanation on your Goddess persona. Every card and reading were right on the money. So fascinating and fun! It was all the minute details, like this, that made our time at Yoni Steam Honolulu so exceptional. All my girlfriends are familiar with a variety of spa experiences. I was thrilled that I was able (with Madi's help) to treat them to such a special pampering. Who needs group pedis and manis when you can steam together?!? Seriously, if you want to spend time with the special ladies in your life THIS is the thing to do with them. Unlike a massage or a pedi or mani, there wasn't anyone else in the room with us. We could chat, laugh, sip, and steam in a very intimate atmosphere. Again, if we needed Madi, she was just a silver bell ring away. It was unlike any spa experience any of us have had or shared. We had the whole spa to ourselves so that gave us added privacy. I'd HIGHLY suggest getting a group of gals together to do the same. It would also be an excellent experience to share with one or two besties or even an adult niece, daughter, or granddaughter. Forget your average wedding shower, bachelorette outing, or girls' night out. If you want to do something memorable and amazing, do a group steam! It truly is a fabulous way to celebrate womanhood and connect in a special way. One of my friends said she'd even do it by herself and would probably take a nap while steaming because it's so relaxing! I know I'm adding this treatment to my self-care routine. Felt the NEED to go in today and I'm so glad I did. It was one of the most relaxing "massage" I've had in a while. Made an appointment through text. I had a reply pretty quickly. When I arrived I was greeted by Allison, the owner. Because I had been there before I didn't have to fill out all the paperwork, I just filled out the medical portion, which tells them what you are feeling at the time, each appointment may be different. So nice walking into the room. You would never guess such an ambiance exist from the exterior. After changing into my Yoni attire I sat for a bit in the sitting area while Allison got my steam ready. Allison was working alone during my visit and I was the only one there so it was pretty intimate, i felt. Once I was seated I was completely at ease. I got a blanket to keep the exta heat and an extra pillow for back comfort. After about 10 minutes I was in my relax state, yes the glass of wine that came with my steam did help. There was nothing else that I wanted but to relax and clear my mind. Allison is an amazing person with and amazing energy that you can just feel. I had a lot on my mind when I went in and after a few minutes of steaming I was in a different place in my mind and could feel through my body. Allison lets you pick a goddess card and you get to read the meaning of the card and the card I picked was spot on. She also handed me a book and she said that she felt I needed to open up. I opened it up to a page and that too made validation for what I was feeling at the time and the decision I made that day. All in all, I was at ease and felt relaxed and comfortable at that moment in time. I first heard about Yoni Steam Honolulu through a Yelp Elite Event that I attended not to long ago. I knew then that I would be back. I'm so glad I came when I did. Allison is amazing and I cannot thank her for being a beautiful soul and for the positive energy that she possesses. If you are skeptical about yoni steaming, just give it a try. I can't say it's for everyone, but I can say it is worth at least experiencing for yourself to see if you like it or not. Yoni steam has been one of my great relaxation discoveries of 2017! You might be wondering what is a Yoni steam? Here's how it's described on the Yoni Steam Honolulu website: "Yoni Steaming--also known as Vaginal Steaming--is a practice in which a woman allows the warmth of a mild organic herbal steam to permeate the exterior of her vagina up into the womb." If you've never experienced Yoni Steam, you think it's going to be on par with a visit to the gynecologist and everyone is going to be all up in your business. And this couldn't be farther from the truth! I remember the first time I heard about it, I couldn't stop laughing and had to ask if this was a joke or a real business? Well I for one can attest after many yoni steam visits, that the experience only makes you feel more relaxed, beautiful and connected to your soul. I would now rather get a Yoni Steam than a massage, that's how much I love it! When you get to the spa you get to check off a sheet which tells the staff which herb mix you should have. The boxes range from lack of energy to anxiety to depression, and you can check off whatever you want. The first time I went I checked off lack of energy and it basically made me take a four hour nap after my session and then I slept so soundly that night. The best sleep of my life and all thanks to Yoni Steam! After you fill out your forms you change into a comfortable colored full length dress and there are keyed lockers for all your belongings. Then you're escorted to your yoni chair which you sit on. The chair has a hole in the seat and the yoni pot (which basically looks like a crock pot) is underneath filled with your herbs and hot water. After you're seated the staff takes your refreshment order which ranges from tea to wine to organic snacks. My favorites are the red wine and frozen chocolate covered bananas. Then you just spend the next 45 minutes either reading a book, meditating or talking to a friend if you brought one with you. You steam away all the stress and worry in your life. This in turn helps you open up your energy to attract everything you want so you can be the best you! My new goal for 2018 is to yoni at least 2-3 times a month and host a steaming party with 6-8 friends so that we can have some solid female bonding time. I'm a mother of three and know that the time I spend taking care of myself impacts every other part of my life. If I'm depleted then how can I possibly serve others? Giving pieces of yourself away from a space of lack only creates more lack, but giving from a place of vibrance and world echoes out and creates so much more happiness! So I'm not going to lie, I was mildly curious but scared to go to this place. First of all yoni steaming is vaginal steaming. You're going to steam what??? So what girl wouldn't be concerned about going unless you've been before. . I've never had a yoni steam or even thought about it. The place is located above Kapahulu Starbuck. There is a small parking lot in the back of Starbucks and the staircase is Kapahulu, on the side of Starbucks. This place is small so it's appointment only since they only have a small amount of chairs. Yoni Steaming is a very gentle process that's supposed to provide non invasive treatment for purification and release by using herbs. You can read more about the history and benefits in their website. So once you step in, your experience begins. I was greeted when I came which helped ease my fears. I we filled out some forms where I could indicate any health issues or personal needs. My customized blend of herbs was created and added to a pot of mildly steamed water. While the pot was being created, I got to choose a full length gown color. The gowns were so pretty, and came in 4 colors. You got these cute princess socks to wear inside too. They also have key lockers for your stuff and a small vanity to freshen up by the dressing room. Ok, here is what you really wanted to know... During the yoni steaming, you are within the privacy of linen walls, draped in a full length gown. Don't worry, you don't see anyone naked or need to show anyone anything. You sit on a custom, one of a kind yoni chair that is hand-crafted locally with a cushioned seat that has an opening. They advised that each seat is sanitized after use and then covered in a freshly cleaned towel. There are two seats next to each other behind each linen wall which was great so I could be together with my friend and chat. However, if you feel it was too awkward, there was a curtain that could separate each chair. This also helped ease some of my nerves. I didn't want to be steaming my ladybits and have some stranger look at me. Yes, no one can see anything but just the idea made me more nervous before I came. So the process is actually very gentle and the 45 minutes goes by very fast. It's a quiet place and actually very relaxing. You are given a bell to ring in case you needed to call for anything. I got to select a drink and snack from a small menu. I got a lovely iced green tea with organic honey and coconut dark chocolate almonds. I'm to gonna lie, it was a little odd at first and got pretty warm down there. But after a couple minutes, I relaxed and and SHE relaxed. It was then really pleasant. But also remember the gown is thick so it keeps all the steam inside. If it got too warm, you could use the gown as a fan. The steam temperature wasn't too hot for me but my legs were hot and sweating. Yoni Spa notes: Make sure you use the restroom first Make sure you sit properly. For a little bit, I felt it more on the back door since I was nervous and sitting straight up. Go alone for me time or bring a friend, so time passes by quicker. Lift the dress a little and use it was a fan since it does get steamy under there. Even your legs sweat! Be open and relax! I felt relaxed and refreshed afterwards, more than I thought that I would. Now did I feel as great as I do after a massage? Hmmm, honestly no. Hopefully in time I'll feel the benefits in other ways like have less cramps at that time of the month. Would I go back? I certainly would, if it wasn't as expensive (it's around $100). I did see that this place was on Groupon and if you go as a group, there is a discount. Their website has a great faq section you should read if you are considering a yoni steam. This was a great relaxing and refreshing experience that I would recommend women to go to for spa or girl day. First they start off with the sign in, waiver forms, then we get to CHOOSE the color of our gowns! And while we are choosing our gowns, we fill out what stresses or pertains to our lives. And they choose the herbs that best fits us for relaxation and calming measures. We get refreshments, 21+ ! and we are able to pick out goddess cards! Allison, the owner, reads the meaning of our cards and puts emotion, and feeling into each. She is very charming and super kind. She helps eliminate stress and sets the mood right. I'm amazed at how relaxing this place is! I thought it would be awkward and a little uncomfortable. But it is way better than a sauna, your own privacy. Your own pillows. Your own gown and customized herbal scents. They give you ice cold towelettes and more treats and snacks. Separated by elegant curtains, and personalize side desks with magazines to read. I had an AMAZING experience at Yoni Steam. The environment and ambiance is on point. Super clean facilities and knowledgeable staff. I wasn't sure what to expect but they give you the run down of what the herbs are and how they help benefit your body. The chairs you sit on are super comfortable and private which was a concern of mine. On top of that, they serve an array of tea, coconut water, wines AND champagne plus snacks (chocolate bananas are bomb). I truly felt like a goddess sipping on my champagne reading a book and rejuvenating my body from inward out :) The owner is a beautiful soul and if you get the honor of meeting her she will go above and beyond to make your experience one to remember!! I have been wanting to try yoni steaming for a while and it was a very nice relaxing experience. They have a nice changing area for you, and they provide you with snacks and drink. The temperature was cold to me in the building however they have blankets for you and with the steam you warm up right away. It was a very pleasant experience and I will be back to see how I can heal more read more

There is a very serene place for women called Yoni Steam located in Kapahulu. I'm very excited we are in an age where women is celebrated. A lot of different cultures have been practicing this for centuries like in my country in The Philippines which many of my family and friends have been doing. A year after the birth of my daughter almost 5 years ago, my husband and I have been trying for another baby but have experienced a few miscarriages. I had to make a few healthy lifestyle changes for my mind, body and soul in order for us to start planning for another baby. I started doing yoga and meditation every morning to start my day. I also started to eat healthy and increased an active lifestyle. Yoni steam is a great addition to my journey with trying to for another child. What an amazing experience. The benefits are awesome. Experience: At first I thought steaming was so weird. But I looked it up I was in the area and had nothing else to do so i decided to try it. I'm glad I did! From the time you walk in to the time you walk out is just all great vibes. It's really nicely designed inside, feels very homey. Madi helped me and is super friendly made me feel comfortable (especially since I was my first time). Attire: I didn't know proper dress but she said it was totally fine because they provided a cover up for you (as seen in picture). They have changing rooms and lockers. It was actually a really relaxing experience. What they to offer: They have something for your every need, whether it's just needing to balance your PH, tightening, PMS, anxiety/stress relief, detoxification and much more! They also offer drinks and snacks which I thought was really awesome of them! Time: Steaming takes about 45min or so but I honestly was so relaxed the time flew by so quickly! Madi said it's done and I was like aww really? Lol Location: I got a little lost at first. You park in the parking in front of Jamba Juice walk to Kapahulu Ave and right after Starbucks there's a set of stairs just go up the stairs and turn right (there's a sign). I had such a great experience I wanna go back next week! Ladies, I HIGHLY HIGLY recommend! I'm bringing my girlfriends with me the next time. This place is on point. Very relaxing! The moment you come up the stairs you get sense of relaxation with the aromas you smell. The music is just the right tone and the manager has a very pleasant attitude and smile. So peaceful, the moment I came I was no longer feeling anxious so that was awesome. You know that anxious feeling you get like going to the doctor or hair salon for the first time anxious well it went away the moment I walked and was greater with a warm smile. Plan on coming back for more. For my first time Yoni steam it was pleasant, relaxing and an experience of inner cleansing and a form of emotional release as well. I needed this experience! read more
