This has become my favourite yogurt drink place, and I sometimes prefer it over bubble teas as I find yogurt drinks more satisfying. I think you have to like yogurt to like their drinks though. I have tried both the signature peach yogurt as well as the white peach teagurt. The signature yogurts are thicker and the teagurt is an interesting mix of tea slush and yogurt, but both have little pieces of peach inside.

So disappointed! I have been looking forward to trying their purple rice drink for weeks. I went on Saturday evening and they ran out of purple rice. I opted for the matcha drink instead. They have pieces of chestnuts (I think?) in the drink, it was rough and dry. I didn't like that very much. The durian drink was ok but the sourness of the yogurt doesn't mix really well together. I love yogurt drinks usually and do want to try the purple rice one still, but was super disappointed with their other two best sellers. Their drinks are a bit expensive as well. Two (medium sized) drinks came to $18.

February 6, 2022 - I think I'm gonna to try Purple Rice Yogurt from every yogurt spot there is in Toronto :D I was only going to order Purple Rice Yogurt but there was so many options to choose from and I had get another drink. I ordered Osmanthus Wine Yogurt. I really liked both drinks. I asked for less sugar and it tasted so good. I find the prices are a bit more then BBT, but it's worth it.

Sometimes I just want to have a drink that doesn't make me feel too guilty. Yomies is loved worldwide, and opened their first Canadian location in the plaza by Commerce Gate. They focus on offering a variety of healthy & guilt-free drinks with their signature Purple Rice Yogurt flavour being on top. The yogurt is made from scratch daily, and I could really taste the freshness when I tried their signature drink I also loved the chewy texture of the purple rice as it complimented the thickness of the yogurt. This is definitely a great alternative to the usual bbt as yogurt has a lot of health benefits such as probiotics.

Purple Rice yogurt drink? I didn't know what to expect. It's actually a liquidy yogurt drink with whole grains of cooked purple rice floating around in it. It can drink like a meal, sort of. Before trying their drink, I had read some reviews here about how the yogurt taste was pretty tart. I thought it was going to be so tart like those Menchie's or Yogurty's tart sorbet. Thankfully, Yomies yogurt is only lightly tart. They use 100% biodegradable sungarcane straws, which I appreciate. I'm sure these straws cost significantly more than regular straws so it helps justify their price being a bit on the high side. I plan to try their mango coconut, durian, and Pina colada. For now, 4 solid stars!

Great alternative to boba in Commerce Gate! They have a good collection of flavours, but my favourite is the classic purple rice yogurt or the purple rice yogurt with red bean. The yogurt is on the tart side, but the taste really grows on you. Given the purple rice topping, it can be quite filling. A bit expensive (although that could be said for most drink shops these days), but worth a try for sure.

First time having this type of yogurt drink so I had no idea what to expect. I had the purple rice flavour - it's pretty much a yogurt smoothie with bits of glutinous rice; much in the similar vain as a boba drink. Drink & chew. The yogurt was very rich, a little sweet and just a little tang. And it. was. so. good. I've never been much of a bubble tea drinker (I can take it or leave it) but I think this will be my favorite new drink. BTW, they're very filling so maybe consider it as a meal supplement or a BIG dessert - a warning for those planning their calorie intake for the day! Side note: noticed they had Salted Duck Flavour.... Someone please try it and review because I can't wrap my head around it. Ordering process was organized but it was a snowy day and 2nd day since grand opening. Staff very aware of keeping customers physically distanced Doing things right!

My friend recommended this place to me as I was looking for salted egg yolk drink. At sip of the drink was interesting. As i drank more, I tasted more of the salted egg yolk, and little pieces of it. It was refreshing and I really enjoyed it! Price was a little bit on high side in my opinion ($7) but yogurt seemed like healthier drink.. you can either pick less sugar or no sugar. I enjoyed the flavour. I will return to try the different drinks .

It was my first time trying this spot so, I got the best seller - Purple Rice Yogurt. It doesn't taste like a drink I've tasted before, but it's still good. Honestly just tastes like rice with sour-ish yogurt (which is what it is). Reminds me of those coconut, mango, sago type of desserts in a way. Honestly felt like I was having a meal haha, pretty filling too!

Kinda late on this but I finally tried Yomies! This isn't your usual bubble tea spot in Markham...this place is actually a yogurt drink spot. I got their signature and most popular purple rice yogurt and pina colada yogurt. The yogurt was too tart for my liking but I did like that it's pretty different than everything else in Commerce Gate! What do you think about this spot?

Yomies has finally opened their first store here in Canada! Their yogurt smoothies are freshly made and fermented in house. We tried the purple rice and durian yogurt smoothies and they were refreshing and delightful! I've never had anything like this before so it was definitely unique. The purple rice had a great texture with a hint of sourness from the yogurt. The durian was creamy and fragrant. I'd definitely say that this is a great alternative to bbt since it is healthier and not as sweet. * Their grand opening is delayed until December, but doesn't mean you can't check their soft-opening which is currently on right now. Good stuff! A bit pricey compared to other drinks but these are specialty drinks. Really different from your regular tea shops, great quality. Loved the lychee drink and the purple rice original one.

I typically hit Kinton Ramen in this plaza, fetch food, and leave. It was nice to have already parked for two hours. I got here at noon. There were plenty of spots available. After doing a quick look at the bubble tea places to choose from, I chose TP Tea. There's one closer to my home, across the border (it sounds fancy) in Scarborough. I needed to check out a different location. TP stands for Taiwan Professional. I still think of my former intern who disliked a software tester at our workplace who creeped her out. She nicknamed him TP, which stood for Toilet Paper.... haha! Anyway, I digress. I walked in and there were two staff members. A young man came over to help me with my order. The Thai milk tea looked so good in the poster on the door that I went with it. I couldn't get it without any sugar, so my order became less sugar and ice. I also got tea jelly. I had never heard of tea jelly before. Tea jelly in tea? Hey, why not? I paid with a credit card. I tipped and tapped. I also signed up for TP Tea's points program. You simply enter your phone number and sign in through the touchpad each visit. You can get free toppings, free drinks, and more. It didn't take long for my order to be ready. This store is deep and narrow. You can't sit down and enjoy your drink. You also can't use the washrooms. The woman behind the counter asked if I needed a bag. I politely declined and said that I was going to drink it now, which made her laugh and nod. I wished both folks a great day and headed to my car. The Thai milk tea ws excellent. If you like strong tea, you want to come here. The milk was perfect to balance out the tea. I loved the tea jelly, which added a cool flavour dimension to my tastebuds that I have never experienced. It was awesome and I got a decent amount of it! Less sugar worked out nicely. My drink was a touch sweet. Perfect! I had a great experience. I hope to return to this plaza and get more drinks off the menu. (463)

I was also a big fan of their pistachio milkshake (شیر پسته) which was creamy and not too sweet to taste. While seating space inside Sweetland is pretty limited, I enjoyed their Persian-style decorations and the music. The owner was incredibly friendly and helped us feel right at home inside the shop. We did have to wait a bit (10-15 min) to get our majoun, but this was also the opening weekend so the place was quite packed! I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing number of options they had on their menu.
