Yogurtland is a nostalgia for me. I used to be a frequent froyo customer at the location near UCI campus but since relocating back to NorCal, I hardly ever get the opportunity to enjoy Yogurtland. The peppermint mocha flavor was the main attraction for me. I mixed coconut, cheesecake, and peppermint mocha in one cup with cheesecake bits. Simply divine. Tenn kept this location spruce and clean. Came here for the BOGOF promo and immediately regretted it. The line was insanely long -- over a 30-minute wait just to get inside. After finally making it in, we found out the tart and super tart machines were out of order... and on top of that, most of the other flavors weren't even working either. What's the point of running a promotion when more half the machines are down? This one star is solely for the store manager, who decided to staff only two employees during a busy promotion. Today was national frozen yogurt day and the line went out the door and to the corner of the building. Line did move pretty fast but it was pretty busy today. There were two special flavors: chocolate strawberry swirl and salted caramel cheesecake. I waited so long at the front to get ringed up while the employees were in the back. Finally, store was messy. Pretty good location! Restaurant is clean, as are the bathrooms which is always appreciated. All of the employees are super nice as well. As for the fro-yo, I typically get a third cup of their fresh strawberry, a third cup of their chocolate brownie, and a third cup of their classic cheesecake flavor all in one, delicious cup. It's truly a 10/10 combo that I recommend to anyone who comes here. However, I decided to experiment some new flavors when I visited today, and they were extremely underwhelming. One third of my cup was their chocolate flavor, while another third was their vanilla, and another third was salted caramel. I'm just going to assume that I didn't pick the best flavors that they have to offer this time around, because their chocolate flavor was quite bitter, their vanilla was really bland, and their salted caramel had a weird aftertaste. This spot has a great parking lot, and is always very spacious. There is enough room to chill and hang out. And it is in a great plaza to eat and walk around. My usual is the classic tart. This is by far my favorite self-serve frozen yogurt spot! You can never go wrong with their Plain Tart flavor if you ask me! So so good. This location is clean & has plenty of parking. Love this place. PRO TIP: Download the Yogurtland app so you can collect points on your purchases. I believe you can also give them your phone number to collect points as well. Not sure what flavor to get? Ask for sample cups at the front so you can sample all the flavors first! CLEAN & WELL-STOCKED: Water, water cups, napkins, everything was stocked, even on a busy day like yesterday, National Fro Yo Day, when they were running an amazing BOGO deal! I wish I could give this place zero stars today. My mother and I visited Yogurtland today around 3:00 PM, and while the serving process was fine at first, things quickly went downhill. We tried the strawberry flavor and immediately noticed it tasted bitter and foul. When we brought it to the attention of the woman cleaning the station, she promised to try it herself. We even heard them in the back changing the flavor, which raised our suspicions that they might have swapped out the strawberry without informing us. Afterward, when we asked for a refund, the staff member seemed unsure of what to do. However, her coworker outright said no and had a terrible attitude about it. We insisted it tasted awful and requested our money back, especially since we spent over $50 for four bowls! The second employee claimed they couldn't do anything because we had already tried it and insisted they change the flavors every morning. The fact that they didn't care that the strawberry flavor could have been a health risk to anyone is incredibly concerning. This experience was not just disappointing but downright infuriating. We've been loyal customers, but the rude service we received today left a terrible impression of this place. especially when you consider that it was all over a strawberry flavor that tasted bad. This place is super clean and open late! Safety measures still followed and the toppings have plastic wrap to cover from your germs. They have quite a variety and only one station was empty. Vanilla, raspberry white chocolate, and munchkin ended up with the rainbow popsicle flavor. It is built in a way that you walk through one at a time. The parking lot was shared by other businesses and extremely tiny for like mini cars (no joke)... I don't know about you but I hate people hitting my cars ‍ anyhow, it is fairly easy to get to once you park. They have seating outside and inside. Employee was cleaning in between customers. She let me pick the colors of the flowers and asked what color the writing should be. I have never ordered a cake before so I was impressed with the options. When we picked up the cake they gave us the giant spoon which was a really fun surprise. We also purchased the number candle there, sold separately. What I appreciate about Yogurtland is their variety of flavors. However, the tart flavors (plain, Alphonso mango, peach) are always winners. I also appreciate that Yogurtland is one of the few frozen yogurt places to have a mint flavor (Lucky Irish Mint). My goal this visit was specifically to try the Thai Tea! It was super flavorful and satisfied my Thai tea cravings. It was early afternoon and not too crowded.
