This place is all around nostalgic for me. As a kid, if come and see the ginormous tower of a building (keep in mind, I was tiny growing up) and would marvel at the wonders that it contained. Okay, I'm obviously hyping it up a lot because of the memories I treasure from getting frozen treats at this little spot as a child. I will say this though, I've gone back a few times as an adult without my rose colored glasses of being a little munchkin. After having moved an hour away, I wasn't able to go as often as I would've liked to but things haven't changed like I thought they would. I love, love, Loveeeeee this place.... I've been coming here for like 6 years now. And each time they have NEVER disappoint me! Their flavors flavors are out of this world delicious, and their toppings are fresh. They do take competitive coupons (but will only take $1 off their price... but $1 is better than nothing!) Their prices have risen a bit, but their portion sizes have more than offset the increase in price. The sizes are HUGEEEEE!!!!! You get a regular size, they drop it (the regular size cup) in a larger size and fill-it-up! I'm always happy that they have an abundance of fruit flavors... The first time I "went" to the Yogurt Mill, I didn't go inside. I was marveling at the outside of the structure. Plus it was a crowded summer day when it seemed like everyone and their mothers were looking for something cold to cool down with. This time, I resolved to get something while I was in the area. I looked on the menu and saw that Tangerine sounded awesome, but what could I pair it with? Maybe chocolate? Instead red raspberry sounded good. I got the junior size cause I figured it was enough to last me the day and it was good value for its price. Still was a lot of yogurt. Good stuff too. It had a tendency to melt down the side of the cup (a cover like the ones Wendy's puts on their Frostys would work perfectly), but I could sorta eat it while driving. Of course being too much given also meant that I had to store it, and when it melted, it had a tendency to turn to slush. The fruit flavors turned out to be a good choice since it was basically a sherbet. read more

I enjoyed going to the Yogurt Mill as a kid but honestly not so much as an adult. I fully support small businesses but I also believe in small business innovation. The exterior appearance of this building is intriguing and unique but the interior needs improvement starting with cleanliness. The customer service from the young staff is poor and the inconvenience of only accepting cash is discouraging. The yogurt is average, the prices are high and the coupons are hardly a deal. I go here every time I visit my hometown of El Cajon. I love the childhood memories of going here as a child after going out to dinner. I also went on a field trip here while in middle school. We got to see how it was made which was very exciting. The sizes are huge! I love the variety of flavors and toppings. They are a bit pricey but you do get a very large amount. The size of the one in my photo was a child size and I had already eaten quite a bit of it! The x-large could feed your whole family! The line is always long so be prepared to wait for the treat you are craving. It is worth the wait though! read more

I stumbled upon this place while I was driving around for work. First thing, I noticed was the great building. I couldn't help but look and see what it was. Once I read yogurt mill, I immediately yelped it and since it got such great reviews, I decided to try it. First of all, I wanted to try every flavor.. but there was of course a line and I didn't want to hold it up, so I got a baby sized (which is still big enough, trust me) peanut butter and chocolate. The one thing I did not like about this place is that the girl who was helping me did not tell me that I got a free topping with my baby size... and just gave me the cup filled with yogurt... but being aware of my surroundings.. I heard three other workers tell their customers that the baby came with a free topping... so i was a bit like wthell.. so I asked her if it came with a free topping and then she just played it off like she forgot and scooped some yogurt out to make room for my topping of choice. Then I just paid (CASH only) and then good thing there were tables inside and outside. It was definitely hot so I chose to sit inside. It was a great feel being there because it was all older adults or families with children.
