You gotta give credit to Baskin Robbins, they were here way before all these trendy ice cream spots. Parking was super easy with plenty of open spots. When we walked in, there were two employees behind the counter and one immediately greeted us. While we were browsing, he made sure to acknowledge us and let us know he'd help when we were ready, which was great. There were so many flavors to choose from. The flavor of the month was Banana Dulce de Leche, but I was feeling nostalgic so I went with what childhood me would have picked, a scoop of cotton candy. My husband got a double with Cookie Monster and Rocky Road. This is exactly what you want from ice cream. Creamy and sweet. The cotton candy flavor instantly took me back to being a kid. We ended up sitting outside on the tables they offer to enjoying our ice cream which made it even better. I'll definitely be coming back, not just for the flavors but for the attentive and efficient service too. They are also doing flavor flights now which sounds like fun!! read more

The nicest thing happened -- my six-year-old granddaughter tried a sherbet and I guess didn't like the ice crystals. When I went back to get her something else, the server simply replaced it. The ice cream continued to be fresh and delicious. read more

I love coming to this particular Baskin-Robbins Store. It is very conveniently located in the beautiful Fletcher Hills are of El Cajon, California, just up the hill from the vast El Cajon Valley basin. There is plenty of easy parking all around the store. This store is usually not too crowded at all, and that is one of the great reasons i love to come here. Some of the other Baskins-Robbins stores can be so very busy! The staff here has always been extremely welcoming and kind. You are greeted right away when you enter, and someone is always there to assist you in your selections of the ice cream flavor of your choice. IK always prefer to order a single scoop of Pralines and Cream ice Cream served in a pointed sugar cone. It is so very good and highly recommended! BASKIN ROBBINS @ EL CAJON My friend was looking for a cake to pickup immediately, after calling location to location, this location had the exact Oreo Ice Cream Chocolate Cake that we needed. The parking was available and was empty on a Sunday. Walking in; the sun is hit straight inside their shop, it was melting the cones especially the ones that were chocolate covered. The ice cream was also hit with the sun but wasn't melting. All the ice cream cakes were either on the side (away from the sun) or in the back. Our ice cream cake came out perfectly! Overall, the service was great, I got to sample some ice cream flavors, and they have numerous. The ambiance was more on the older side, the place definitely could be cleaned more. This review of Baskin Robbin's from a general perspective rather than specifically this location, although I will say the service is always good and pleasant. I grew up on Thrifty ice cream so not too many places can compare. BR ice cream is fine in a pinch but flavors are usually limited and the ice cream is usually not very firm as I prefer. My go to flavor is the cherries jubilee when I end up here with a craving for late night scoop or a shake. All in all BR isn't the best but certainly not the worst. YMMV. read more

Went into your store about an hour ago and the biggest topic amonst customers was how hot it was in that store! It actually looked like some of the ice cream was melting, that's how hot it was! I would suggest to the owner to invest in some blinds because the sun was directly aimed inside that store ! We customers were sweating and for an ice cream establishment one would think it should be cold inside! The two employees were sweating as well so not ideal working conditions for anyone! Just waited outside of the store for 10 minutes. I could clearly see someone inside working and they were deliberately not answering the phones. Do not expect to get any sort of service an hour after they open and an hour before they close this store does not follow their posted hours. They will lose almost all their business. I would never order another cake of them. They presented the below cake for us to pick up that was ordered ahead of time. The fudge is on one side so it looks like they dropped it or something. When questioned the teens working behind the counter said they didn't know what happened but could not make another one. Very disappointing. I ordered a photo cake online, 3 days before my daughter's birthday party. They called me 1 hour before I was supposed to pick it up, and said their printing machine was broken. She claimed that they had just received the order. If that is the online ordering process, Sending the order to the shop 1 hour before it's supposed to be ready? I don't believe it. The "manager" Said the words "I'm sorry". But absolutely did not sound Sorry. If I have to make that phone call, I would express my deep regret. People order cakes for celebrations and other occasions that really matter. She was obviously very young, and has a lot to learn. If their printing machine was down, she should have informed corporate to make sure that they did not accept any photo cake orders. She did not offer any solutions, and was somewhat rude when I asked for the refund. Gratefully, I was able to get the order completed at a Baskin-Robbins farther away from my house. I would definitely not depend on them if you have a special occasion coming up. I went to the location on 2nd Street in El Cajon, and they were incredibly accommodating and apologetic. They are owned by different people and the people that own the shop on 2nd in El Cajon are doing it right. The people at the location on Fletcher Parkway need to get retrained on how to handle these difficult situations. I'm here quite often. The girl who works there, Hope always remembers my order, always kind, I feel welcomed here. (I always come over for a scoop even when it's freezing out lol) Fantastic service and the workers are very efficient, has their stuff together. This place is suss. Our disabled daughter Dan was having their birthday today and we stopped here for an ice cream cake. Oh boy!! Never again. They totally have all the cakes priced wrong. The price was poked into the cake inside the box. We were all excited such an amazing gender neutral cake was available. Once they rung it up it was 15 more dollars than the tag. Of course this put it out of our budget. We've been struggling since the global pandemic and the costs of medical bills. Dan is still upset about the process. My love for rich foods WAS confirmed today when I noted my flavor was one of the highest in calories. So I didn't order it right off, I looked up and down and even stopped in front of the fat free frozen yogurt for a an extra 20 seconds.. but no I went high calories and added hot fudge and whipped cream to really make it count. I know these chains tend to be the same, but honestly I love this particular location. There is always parking, the staff is awesome and it doesn't matter how busy they are, they get to you quickly or they are making sure you know that they will be right with you. I figure if I really get on the elliptical tomorrow it won't be that bad. read more

I've gone to this baskin robbins since I was a kid and have brought my sister and little cousins here for their ice cream. Amazing ice cream and lots of choices for flavor. Cup or cone. Banana split or shake. Cake or froyo. Lots of different toppings if you want something on top. Everyone is nice. And even though it seems not many workers are there, it does get busy a lot but they work fast. The flavor tags has a description of what's in the ice cream and the calories. Not sure which to pick? Ask to sample a flavor before buying your ice cream. The ice cream cakes are amazing. I usually get them for birthdays but you can get them for any occasion. Have gone here off and on for years for bday cakes etc. This week I ordered ahead, a cake roll with a birthday greeting written on top. When I arrived, the cake was ready but no writing on it. The employee had the order sheet in hand and we both looked at my request: three words. "Happy Birthday -----". I politely let her know that I had ordered the personalized writing which she acknowledged it via the hand written order that she held. Her lame excuse was- "oh, often we do the writing on pickup day". Major problem: the cake already had cherries and frosting decorations on top, therefore no room for writing. I did not order any special decoration on top- just the inscription. How difficult was that? She said that she could write on the cardboard platform that the cake was on! Cmon, how silly was that? It certainly would have looked strange. Especially since that little cardboard base had about 1/2" surrounding the cake, not enough writing area. No apologies for the non-personalized cake. There were at least four customers in the store and three employees. However only one employee waited on customers- so we each waited our turn wondering why the other two employees couldn't help when there was a line of people waiting. Will likely go to a different B-R for future ice cream treats. This place is going downhill. read more

i usually go to the Baskin Robbins on 2nd street. Yesterday i went to this BR. I always get chocolate chip (very boring, i know). The Chocolate Chip on 2nd, is awesome~! i was near this store on Fletcher Pkwy, so i decided, why not? i got a double scoop (for almost 5 bucks!) of Chocolate Chip. It was heavy, melted and just horrible. i also noted the cone was STALE! very disappointed. i ended up tossing it. i would have gone back but we were on the road before i realized how bad it was. Really!?? I came here last night to get a pie for my Valentine and they sold me a pie that looked like it had been uncovered in the freezer for 2 years. It also looked like it had been melted at one point because the whipped cream had slid to the edge. The girls who work there are very nice but the place has pricing issues. First, I saw more then a few people rolls there eyes at $3.50 for a single scoop/$6 two scoops of ice cream.Way Way overpriced for the quality which is not better than many store brands.Taste good but no better than others. $32.50 for a small ice cream cake for 6-8 with maybe paper thin slices of cake and the girl told one lady she needed two cakes for her party for ten kids...You can get delicious huge cakes elswhere for 25 for $20 tops that taste great. Grossly overpriced on everything and then telling people 75 cents for a dash of whip cream on something. If you have alot of money to spend and can break the bank go and buy there but if more people didnt they just might be alot more realistic in their pricing. Me and my girlfriend walk into this location at 6:55 PM on a Tuesday night I assume this is when all the old white people choose to walk down memory lane coming in one by one talking so loud about remember that time when Jim and I came here years ago blah blah blah... what's that? I just got hit in he achilles heel by the door ouch! no I'm sorry, no excuse me, just going to sit down and be old and rude that's just the customers now let's talk about the employees we wait patiently behind this older gentleman who we clearly came in after. The workers look at us including the gentleman and say I'll be right with you. Then more customers walk in and go to the other side where there is another employee this is making it look like there is two lines. Now the gentleman in front of us gets his ice cream pays for it making it our turn? NOPE! the employee walks over to the other line when there's no one in it (but the person who walked in after) and starts helping them. I guess we are invisible I say to my girlfriend and we walked out. Really disappointed in the customer service over at the 2nd street location (dont worry I'm going to review that next) we decided to come here. Boy was I wrong two bad locations in two days. I hope Baskin Robbins 31 flavors goes out of business for robbing people of customer service and overall good behavior. read more
