Craving yogurt ice cream, stopped on my way back to Indy. Very happening and crowded place even on a Sunday night which was pleasantly surprising. There's a variety of yogurt, gelato and sorbet flavors and the number of toppings are definitely a lot. Total of 5-6 minutes but everyone was courteous and friendly. Had a very negative experience today where another customer in the store were clearly racist and awfully rude and the tone the management spoke to us in was unacceptable. We had a 2 year old with us who made a mistake and I'm sure if we were white, we would not have been treated this way. As a highly educated customer who has traveled all over the world, I have never been treated this way in any setting. It's a shame because we did really like this place before they clearly supported highly racist customers in their store. We understand cleanliness is important and were very polite to the staff in response but the highly condescending tone in which they spoke to us and let ANOTHER customer in the restaurant speak to us will not be forgotten. I will make sure that everyone in our community is aware of this. This place is so fun and has an excellent variety of flavors and toppings. They also have little dividers that you can put in your bowl so that you can get more than one flavor without mixing. It's something so simple but I've never seen it at one of these places before. They also offer samples but one of the workers has to make it for you. They have lots of seating options both inside and outside. The pricing was pretty reasonable considering how expensive most ice cream shops are nowadays. read more

I was visiting my family and decided to try this yogurt place as it looked quite nice. Now, the place is well decorated, and the yogurt was not half bad, they had a decent selection of toppings that were pretty good. This place lacks in its service, and I mean LACKING. While in line I took a bite of a small cookie dough piece not thinking they would be upset. My hometown place never got mad, but that must've been my mistake. While I understand the rules and regulations they charged me SIX DOLLARS EXTRA. Mind you they added the spoon in while it was being weighed which was the cherry on top. That's not all. This man has a very college looking appearance, with a unique mustache style that is reminiscent of a Burt Reynolds look alike, but he did not pull it off the same way. I didn't get his name but he was pretty lanky and blonde. He VERY LOUDLY in front of the store called me out saying I took a "pretty big bite" and that he watched me do it. Now this was very unprofessional and all around embarrassing as there were others in the store. I hope that the management does what they need to do in order to set this store straight, because it's a shame for a nice establishment to go down the drain just because of their service. read more

The yogurt was tasty but the employee who was working on shift was very intimidating and watched us intensively as we were trying to pick out our flavors. we felt very uncomfortable but just assumed that was a precaution due to so many signs that were advertising "no eating before paying" but as more customers came into the establishment, he did not treat any other customers in the same manner as us. He then had the audacity to ask us to tip him when he was nothing but unwelcoming and intimidating. Although the yogurt was tasty we will not be coming back due to such terrible service. Wow, this is definitely now my favorite of the frozen yogurt places in the area! Why? Not only do they have a large of self serve flavors (including a couple of custards and sorbets), but they have the most toppings of any froyo place I have seen yet. There was also a staff member stationed by the dispensers not only to offer samples but to help run interference with all the kids etc. The decor (beach themed, naturally) is adorable, with thatched tiki huts and surfboard tables. A little nook in the corner was a nice place to sit away from crowds of kids. :) Again, must commend the staff. We moved to the area about four years ago and found this establishment which we frequent often (~ once a month). The flavors snd toppings are great! The place is incredibly clean and the kids that work there are great. I've read some of the negative reviews and have not seen the behavior posted any of the times we've been there. Since this is a self serve establishment I'd expect a good deal of oversight especially with children. It's not cool, or legal, for little hands to grab the toppings with hands instead of using the provided scoops or sampling cups. I've seen how little ones can go in this direction when properly supervised. Long story short supervise your children so the establishment doesn't have to. read more

The woman working followed us around while my kids got yogurt and toppings...and the male employee complained that my son filled his yogurt too high so therefore couldnt get toppings. Friday we had gone in to grab some yogurt with 3 children. The middle aged dirty blond haired woman working at the time was horrible. She hoovered over us and was extremely rude . She yelled at the kids and unexplainably irritated. There was one bowl without a spoon in the boba but yelled when we used another spoon from an ajacent boba. If she has OCD perhaps she should not be working there. I am surprised with the struggles of small businesses she would not be more concerned with positive lasting customer service. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I've tried almost all of the FroYo places in Naperville, and I thought Red Mango was going to be impossible to beat since they originated the concept of tart frozen yogurt and they have the advantage of using high quality ingredients. But now we have a formidable competitor. The flavor and consistency of the frozen yogurt at Yogurt Beach is quite impressive. They also are using the higher quality ingredients with probiotics (like RM does). And unlike RM, Yogurt Beach has an entire wall of toppings to choose from. On my visit, I had the key lime tart frozen yogurt with cheesecake bites. It was an amazing combo. Since the menu rotates, I look forward to trying some of the other unique flavors in the future. I would like for Yogurt Beach to start up a loyalty card program to keep track of purchases so after a few visits, a free one will be earned. read more

Yogurt Beach might be my favorite frozen yogurt on the fro-yo highway, also known as Route 59, based on the flavor options, texture of the yogurt, and topping choices. I mixed two flavors that aren't really complimentary: key lime pie and root beer float. They were delicious separate, and they actually were pretty good mixed together. I topped mine with cheesecake bites, sprinkles and chocolate covered waffle cone pieces. There is more seating at Yogurt Beach than any others in the area. There were several tables inside, and there were Adirondack chairs lined up along the storefront outside. What keeps me from making the ultimate decision of who is the best? First, it annoys me when they are paying someone to stand there, and not only do they hand you the sample cup, but they fix the sample themselves. I guess I can understand this concept for the messy, sticky, reckless entitled children of Naperville...especially the ones who stand in front of the machines while the parents pay no mind to others getting through...oh, and the overflow of high school students in here...but c'mon, I'm an adult. I can serve myself, and I'd like to sample a few, and now I feel like a total heifer if I don't like the first two I tried. But at least the "sample girl" was friendly. I'd definitely go back for the yogurt alone, but definitely not when I'm in my grumpy, "get off my yard," old lady mood. read more

There are four FroYo places in a five mile radius on Route 59 here... (Soon to be 5...) Out of all four places Yogurt Beach is the one I dream about at night! Their FroYo is so creamy you might be confused into thinking it's ice cream! All of the yogurt places have their different mixins and I am totally pleased with Yogurt Beach's. This spacious, clean frozen yogurt heaven is a welcome respite from the typical dirty and old Dairy Queens and politically disgusting Oberweis that are scattered about the suburbs. I felt like Scrooge McDuck swimming in a pool of money. Except my pool was filled with frozen yogurt toppings! The Beach is large enough that you can escape families that are making noise with children running about and enjoy Cake Batter or Dulce de Leche flavored frozen yogurt with the dangerously intellectual customers such as myself. I plan on returning multiple times this summer.
