When I was staying in LA, I took Yoga Flow and Dynamic Flow classes with Kyle. I really liked the classes. They were calm and helped me focus a lot. The atmosphere was peaceful and I could really stay present during the practice. I also liked how the intensity built up slowly. It was challenging but not too much, and I felt comfortable following the flow. Now I moved to Boston, and I really miss those classes. They matched me very well and made my routine better. The Rebel Fit classes are awesome. I stumbled into one thinking it was a generic yoga class, and became hooked. The variation and hiit timing makes the class fly by but it's an excellent workout (strength, cardio, mobility, you name it) that has transformed my body. Studio has fantastic, fun, non-corporate and unpretentious atmosphere. Lots of other gems here too, like monthly sound baths and fun pop ups and workshops. I've tried several of the dynamic flow classes with Sandra. She's wonderful. It's quite the workout. I've had a few ongoing injuries and she gives several accommodations. I've also tried the Wednesday dance sculpt core class with Mariam. It's a lot of fun and challenging at the same time. It's a small studio on the 2nd floor. Very clean. I've been coming here less than a year and hit my 200th class this week. I love this place and come for a class (sometimes two) just about every day. The vibe is wonderful. Sandra, Liz, Kyle, Jake, and Maia are all amazing teachers with their own unique styles. The other attendees are so kind and friendly that overall the studio is so welcoming. Before I started coming here, I used to hurt all over. With the wide selection of times offered, from 6AM (which I never thought I'd get up that early to attend, but I do) to evening classes, and a variety of types of classes beyond yoga, (stretch, fitness, and recovery) there is something for everyone no matter your fitness level. With each class I feel so much improvement in what I can do- increased flexibility and not being so "tight" in the muscles, less knots in my neck and back, better posture, the list goes on and on. I've taken traditional yoga classes, HIIT classes, hot yoga, weight training, etc. At Yoga Rebel, I feel like I get the stretch and flexibility of traditional yoga along with the challenge of HIIT classes and strength training. Honestly, these are the best and most challenging yoga classes I have ever taken. In my first class, I got to try some of the challenging poses, I've always wanted to. Sandra, the owner and instructor, not only leads a challenging class, but she connects with her students. I feel like she knows each of us so much on a personal level. There is no judgment in her instruction and she encourages us to do our best. I'm going back and recommend everyone to go try it out. This is the best yoga class. My daughter and I both took a class with Sandra. As a beginner, I was nervous to try the Power Yoga but I was so happy I accomplished it. Sandra makes sure to offer modifications for all exercises so it is doable for all levels. Sandra is also very patient and encouraging. I felt very comfortable throughout the class and am very impressed by how great I felt after the class. I will definitely be taking more classes to work on my flexibility.
