I love this CorePower location! The studio is always clean, the instructors are great, and there's plenty of free parking, which makes getting to class stress-free. My only suggestion would be to add more weekday classes during the early afternoon (around 11 AM-3 PM), as there are limited options during that time. Instructors are great and have a great set list. The studio itself is really nice, and the location in La Cañada is gorgeous. My critique is that many of the teachers at this location seem inexperienced. The classes are consistent because everyone follows the CorePower formula, but I rarely leave feeling like I deepened my practice or learned something new from a seasoned practitioner. A lot of the instruction feels more like executing a system after certification than teaching from years of personal practice. The flows are fine, but there's often a lack of depth and adjustment you tend to get from teachers who have spent a long time immersed in yoga beyond a corporate training pipeline. You notice it in things like teachers forgetting where they are in the flow or struggling to keep pace with the class they're leading, and overly commercial playlists that create more of a fitness studio atmosphere than a mindful one. Overall, this feels more like yoga for people looking for a workout and a pleasant atmosphere than for those seeking a deeper practice. You might describe it as "McYoga", but maybe expecting more from a national corporate chain is unrealistic. And that all said, there's one or two teachers there who actually do know what they're doing. read more

I arrived at the studio right on time at 7.30 pm and their door was already locked in spite of their posted written policy of allowing five minute grace period. Love coming to CP!! The best yoga studio I've ever been! Instructors are so nice and always go above and beyond. I even brought my sister and mother to this studio so they can experience it! The only class I haven't tried is the C2, maybe this year I will try it! But overall I highly recommend, and if you're new.... Don't do the Hot Power Fusion class first... maybe try it on your 3rd visit. The studio has plenty of parking and it's very accessible. I took a sculpt class and I was just really disappointed with how it was run. The instructor "Mele" was her name? I could be wrong -- she decided to play metal music the entire class which was hard to digest that early in the morning. I appreciate the genre but felt like that wasn't the place to do it. She also wasn't working out with us when it came to the routine she just gave verbal instructions which left many confused and took time away from moving from one sequence to the next. It felt lazy in my opinion. I've heard the other classes are good, but this just left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

I had the absolute pleasure of attending Erina's Yoga Sculpt class at CorePower, and I can't say enough wonderful things about the experience! My friend brought me along as her guest, and from the moment we walked in, Erina made me feel so welcome. She greeted us warmly, gave me a little tour of the studio, showed me where everything was, and explained exactly what to expect in her class, which really helped ease my first time nerves. During the class, Erina gave such clear instructions and offered modifications for those of us who might need them. As someone who deals with a little knee and joint pain, I truly appreciated this, and I definitely used the modifications. I never once felt rushed or out of place which has definitely happened to me in other group fitness classes. Her class struck the perfect balance between being challenging and accessible. There were lots of great core exercises, and the music was so upbeat and fun. It really kept me energized the whole time. I especially loved that the songs matched the movements we were doing, which made it even more motivating. At the end of class, Erina even fanned us off with a towel, which was such a thoughtful touch. She took the time afterward to personally tell me I did a great job. In all my years attending fitness classes, I do not think I have ever had an instructor be so kind and genuinely invested in my experience. It truly meant so much. Because of Erina, I am thrilled to say I will be signing up for a membership at CorePower! She even took a few minutes to explain the different membership options, which made the decision that much easier. If you are thinking about trying yoga, or even if you are feeling a little nervous like I was, I cannot recommend this CorePower Yoga location enough! I am new to CorePower. I tried the free week trial which was very helpful for figuring out which classes and instructors were best suited for me. I have since become a member and have almost completed my first month. I attend Yoga Sculpt and C2 classes several times a week and I am now hooked. I look forward to class and feel great after every workout. Unfortunately some of the classes have been inconsistent with different instructors subbing and even had one cancelled on me so I am hoping for more consistency in that aspect. Shoutout to Lusin Y. Her class is my absolute favorite! I love her fun vibe and she is very sweet and genuine. I am hoping they make her the regular instructor. The facilities are decently clean. There has been a recent improvement in the smell upon entering. Thankfully the studios themselves did not smell and appear to be cleaned in between classes. I look forward to continuing my practice there. read more

I am not a yoga expert, but I really enjoy the mix of yoga poses, strength exercises, and cardio that this particular workout provides. The heated room can be a bit much at times, but that's part of the experience. The La Canada instructors are terrific- Marika, Gabriel, Debbie, and pretty much anyone I've tried has been a unique and challenging workout. Highly recommend! (I have one minor complaint about Core Power Yoga, but it's not about the people or the experience at La Canada. It's about the app. It's terrible, I think. It is always throwing pop-up promotional screens at me, at least two before I can even get into the app; it won't let me cancel class on my iphone so I have to log on to the website; and it is generally the opposite of an easy interface. I wish the corporate Core Power folks would fix this element of the experience.) read more

I enjoyed going to CPY in Pasadena but now that they have one in La Canada I don't need to drive as far!! So happy that there's a CPY here! Bought a one month pass through Gilt at a great price. Went to this new facility as many times as I could. Would have gone more often and tried out different classes if the times worked out with my schedule but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. The late evening classes are great, but not as much variety as I would have liked. The evening instructors are great and of course some are better than others. I prefer the ones who reposition you if you aren't doing the yoga positions correctly. It gets pretty hot in these classes so you sweat quite a bit so be sure to bring a towel and a bottle of water to class with you. I would highly suggest bringing a hair tie as well. You can bring your own mat or use one of theirs for a fee. I wish there were wipes for the mats, weights, and blocks after use. I can't help but wonder how often their stuff are wiped down. If you have time after class, they have showers available for use and a hairdryer. Plenty of lockers and locks are provided free of use. Free parking!!! read more

I did the 7 day free week this past week. I did most sessions at the Pasadena location and just randomly decided to try out the La Canada location on my very last day. So bummed I didn't start off in La Canada...it's SO much better! Love how clean and bright this studio is. Unlike the Pasadena location, this has hardwood floors (easy to clean= doesn't smell like a sweaty gym). Bathrooms, showers, lockers are clean. Two large yoga classrooms also very clean. The class I took wasn't filled to the brim like Pasadena. Tons of easy parking. The class itself was also great, although a wee bit hot for me. I'm fairly inexperienced but felt that I could keep up in the C2 class with the instruction and looking at others. I loved that the class united such a diverse crowd of different ages, genders, backgrounds, and experience levels. A great, low impact workout guaranteed to leave you very, very sweaty but rejuvenated. I brought a few friends and some liked it but it wasn't for others. I'd recommend taking on the 7 day free trial to see if it's for you! I'm not a yogi at all but surprised myself by how much I truly enjoyed it. read more

I love the La Canada CPY location. I've been a CPY member for almost 2 years now. I go to CPY 3-6 times a week. I've taken sculpt & HPF at every CPY location in LA and the La Canada location is my favorite. Erina specifically is the best sculpt instructor here. I look forward to her classes every week. My favorite part of erina's sculpt classes is that in between her sun B series, she always adds cool exercises with weights and makes it more exciting and a fun flow. I get an amazing work out in from her sculpt class because of the fun weight exercises she adds into her sun B series. Her music choice is impeccable she always has the best vibes, loud upbeat music, and she keeps the studio at the perfect temp. The la Cañada location is notoriously known for having a malfunctioning heat system but somehow Erina always makes her sculpt classes perfectly hot. Her voice is also very loud and clear, you can hear her over the loud music. She also has great modifications for everything and is a very welcome, non-judgmental instructor. I've taken class with Marike too she's also good. Gabriel the manager is also amazing, he's so knowledgable and helpful. In October there was a bingo challenge across all CPY locations and none of the instructors or managers at any location knew what the prizes were. Gabriel was the only manager who knew about the bingo prizes and gave me my prize. He manages this studio great and it's always well kept, clean, and organized. read more

Did my first CPY class at the new location in La Cañada. You know it's been a long time coming when everyone in class is talking about how happy they are that they've finally opened a studio here. For first timers like myself, you can get a week free by just registering online! You don't sign up or reserve a spot or anything- just show up for the class that you want to take! The ladies in the front were super friendly today and gave us a little studio tour. The studio itself is spacious, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. There are plenty of lockers outside and a few in each of the gender bathrooms. They give out locks and keys for you to use- just be sure to return it once you're done. There are showers and everything you need from a workout studio if you plan on taking classes before your day job. There are two yoga studios. The heat wasn't working today but it still got pretty warm in there. I believe the heat should be up as running by tomorrow (per their website). I've only taken the yoga sculpt class and it was amazing! Total body workout with a little bit of cardio, squats, upper body toning exercises, and stretching. I loved it and will definitely be making it part of my regular exercise routine! If you have your own mat, definitely bring it along with a towel and water bottle. If you don't, no sweat- they rent out a mat, towel, and water bottle (water is for keeps lol) for $2 each. Park anywhere in the lot, but I can see this plaza running out of parking space real quick as a Target is also expected to open on October 21. Anyway, I'm super stoked that this is opening here- and I know I'm not the only one! read more

I do enjoy the classes but have 2 complaints ... 1. I wish the instructor would walk around and help make proper adjustments in the poses... example, In a crescent lunge I see some people's knees way over their foot. I think its important to do these poses correctly to avoid injury also to get the most out of it. 2. I wish men were required to wear a shirt even if its a small one. There was a man in a class that was very hairy. While everyone was sweaty his sweat was flying off him while doing some fast transitions and we are very close in proximity. It might be helpful if mats were staggered with a tape outline so everyone fits comfortably. read more

The studio manager reached out to me by email roughly four days later and apologized for the no-show, which was due to a miscommunication with the instructor. The manager also offered to reset my one-week free trial, an additional free class, and a discount on a retail item, which was very generous. I accepted the offers and have attended two classes so far, both of which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, I caught a cold during my trial week, which is why I didn't attend more than two classes, but I still have my free class. Regardless, I am planning to buy a class pass so I can attend weekly classes. I'm impressed with the instructors and the space is beautiful and immaculate -- clean (uncarpeted) floors and equipment, no funky smell, and lots of natural light from the windows that face Foothill Boulevard. The parking situation is pretty good too; I had no problem finding free parking right by the studio entrance, even though it's located in a busy shopping center. One thing about the heat: the classroom temperatures hover around 98-100, which is fine for me. I'm used to hotter temperatures at other studios (~110-115), which eventually started to bother me and why I started looking for a new home studio. I think CorePower strikes the right balance in providing a warm, cozy room without being stifling. Overall, I'm glad I gave this place a second chance and I'm grateful that the studio manager reached out to me after the NYE snafu. read more

Nice clean studio with helpful yoga instructors. There are clean mats and blocks for use. The bathrooms are spacious with a separate area with clean showers. My only grievance is they charge extra for a cancelled reservation even if we have a prepaid membership, and they lock the doors as the class starts so people are charged that full cost of the class if we're even a minute late. read more

I love this CorePower location! The studio is huge and very clean. The only bummer is the shopping center was super busy the night that I went, so parking was a little bleak and I had to circle around the tiny lot a few times. But hey, it's free, so it's still way better than the majority of parking situations at the CorePower studios across Los Angeles. Oliver was my HPF instructor that evening and he was great! Tried my first hot yoga class here last week and came back today for a second. Really loved it! I was nervous about hot yoga - especially with the mask mandate, but I found it to be an incredible experience. Instructors are extremely helpful with form and gave great cues the whole class. I am quite a beginner, but found the class C2 to be manageable. I loved how easy parking was as well. Overall great place. Will be back! read more

My good friend was finally able to convince me to check out CorePower Yoga with her today at the studio in La Canada. I signed up for the guest pass that is good for one week. We took the 9:30am class. The instructors were very friendly and gave me a tour of the studio. The studio was super clean which I liked a lot and pretty spacious. The class was pretty packed. I had a spot in the front next to my friend. I was a bit skeptical at first but when we started class I knew I was going to like it. This class was Yoga sculpting and we literally worked every part of our body. The moves were difficult and challenging which I loved. Easy to find parking in the plaza and it's free. I had a great experience overall and will definitely be back! read more

For the first time in my life i am gonna take the time out of my day to let you all know how bad this company and its customer service are. You will be told you can buy a two weeks for $1 and if you cancel within two weeks nothing outside of the $1 will be charged. What they DONT tell you is that NOBODY will ever pick up your call in those next two weeks. The phone system will run you in a circle of options and then hang up on you. You will then be charged a nice hefty "membership" fee. Emailing them will get you a very general reply. If you are very lucky like me, you will get a copy and paste reply from them apologizing for the confusion, BUT they wont even remember to at least CHANGE THE NAME to yours when they do copy and paste. And after all this, they will charge you again the next month. BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DELT WITH. read more

teeana is one of the best instructors i've ever practiced with. such a grounding presence and beautiful instructions for an intentional flow. i always look for dynamic and challenging flows and she is the best one i've found by far!! i've been at corepower for a couple years and been to different studios in different states. excited to see teeanas name on the schedule more and more :) cant recommend highly enough!! read more
