YogaSix Pasadena has been a great studio for my weekly yoga visits. As a member, they'll pay for your metered parking so you don't have to stress to find street parking- although there usually is some further down the street! The staff is always friendly when I come in and they're happy to help with anything. I enjoy the variety of classes offered here, there's something for every need. The classrooms are heated and I definitely work up a sweat for the tough workouts/flows. The cool scented towels after classes are super nice. The studio is cozy! There's no showers, but all the areas including the bathrooms are very clean and well kept. There are lockers with built in locks to store your items. I'm in and out of there after my classes. I also love that they have community events and offer special things like sound baths here and there. I look forward to checking out these events in the future once I'm not so busy. read more

Really enjoying this studio so far! I've done yoga on and off for years, and most recently I use to go to Corepower but stopped for a few years due to non yoga related injuries. Now that I'm healed, I was thinking about going back to Corepower but the algorithm must have seen me browsing yoga studios and an ad for this place popped up on my Instagram for a $36 for 3 classes intro deal. I was a bit weary of my card automatically getting billed for a membership once my three classes ended, so I called the studio and spoke to Kelsey (She's the daytime studio manager I think) who assured me that there's no catch, I can take the three classes for $36 and decide from there if I want to buy a membership or not. She was super friendly and helpful, she asked me what I was looking for and helped recommend me which classes might be good for me. My first class I took Dahhee's mobility class which I enjoyed. While it definitely feels like yoga, it's not a traditional yoga flow class where you're doing chaturangas and sun salutations between each sequence but a mix of yoga, stretching, and strength building. The second class I took was Kyle's slow flow class. This was more similar to classes I've taken in the past at other studios and I really loved that Kyle integrated her playlist with the movement. The studio is also very welcoming, the first class I went to was an evening class and the evening studio manager Karisma greeted me and helped me check in, while the second time I went during the day and Kelsey was there. There's free combination code lockers in the locker room which is really nice, you don't have to bring your own lock. Parking is fairly easy, they don't have their own lot but there's free street parking on their street. Both times I found street parking right on their street, though they also validate meter parking as the free section is limited. You should give yourself some time to walk over in case you have to park up the street. The two cons I have are: 1) No showers 2) The classes are only warm not hot. I asked Kelsey and she said both classes I took they heat the room to 90 degrees. As someone who's always cold, 90 degrees I'm barely breaking a sweat. The no showers thing actually didn't matter too much because I wasn't drenched in sweat like I usually am after hot yoga. Next week I plan to take the "Power flow" class which I'm told is hotter and also more difficult, so I'm looking forward to it. read more

I've had a great experience at YogaSix. The owners are usually there, the staff is always welcoming, and the instructors are fantastic. I have bad wrists, which makes a lot of poses difficult or impossible for me, but the instructors are great about offering modifications so I can still participate and get a good workout. My friend and I bought the three-class intro pack earlier this year (April) and had gone to evening classes without any issues. We rented mats, paid the $3 fee, and were never asked to leave our phones at the front desk. When we came in for a Saturday class, Cheri suddenly told us we had to hand over our phones in addition to paying the mat fee. I asked why the card on file couldn't simply be charged if a mat wasn't returned. What made it uncomfortable was that we did not see anyone else being asked to hand over their phone at the time. My friend is Latina and I am Indian, and we are both young women. I can't say whether the difference in treatment was because of race, age, or simply inconsistent enforcement, but we both felt singled out enough that we decided to leave. When I went back in to make sure we wouldn't be charged, there was no real attempt to understand why we were leaving or resolve the situation. Only after I raised the inconsistency did she point out that other people had started leaving their phones. This happened months ago, and I debated saying anything, but it has continued to bother me. Whatever the reason, it was disappointing behavior from an owner. If handing over a phone is truly the policy, it should be clearly communicated and applied consistently to everyone. As an Indian woman, there is also an uncomfortable irony in going to a yoga studio and leaving feeling unwelcome after an interaction with a white owner. I'm not claiming to know her intent, but the experience was disappointing enough that I felt it was worth sharing months later. It's a shame because we really wanted to come back to Dahee's classes as members. The two stars are solely because she is a phenomenal teacher and for Erich's hospitality. read more

Yoga 6 has been a great place to take yoga class. I've brought friends and family here. I've been going here on and off since 2023. Their facilities are clean and provide a great water filter, lockers, and cool towels at the end of a class. I've always felt much more relaxed after a restorative class. I've liked Dahnee's and Gabby's classes. Each yogi has their own style and breathing rhythms. After class there a couple of places to get some coffee (Tartine is next door). The staff have been friendly and the owners truly appreciate their customers. This place is a true wellness center and host wonderful events that promote health and wellbeing. read more

Some employees take the time to remember your name here, which feels good. I will say I get passive aggressive tones from receptionist Kelsey. She picks and chooses who she is extra friendly with and her attitude has poked through often. I don't care much because I don't go to Yoga to make friends or have fake conversation - I go to zen tf out for a good hour. The emails, calls and text marketing can get overwhelming with promotions but there are good deals like buy 10 classes get 4 free. Favorite instructors include Tiana, Erin & Dahhee (although I do think Dahhee could instruct / articulate better for newcomers - there are definitely opportunities for injury in her mobility class). Class with Kyle = underwhelming. Class with Gabby = cringe. Few notes - those who come early do not want to hear fellow convo and laughs as we're trying to zone in for the only hour of the day we have. The instructors just let these chatter boxes go & it would be nice if they reminded them to be still as I would think it's quiet time once you're inside the class. Also don't know why instructors don't speak up to tell the woman in class named September to stop harmonizing like a church choir along to the music and spraying her perfume in the room at the end of class... someone had to say it!!! read more

After a pandemic length hiatus, it's time to get back on the mat and reawaken my yoga practice. A sponsored ad in my social media feed offered a week at a very good price. (so even if I only went once, it would be worth it). My first class was trial by fire. No where on the website is it disclosed that the studio is kept at 85-90 degrees. In retrospect, it turned out to be good thing, because I would not have ever signed up. But the staff is so friendly that I quickly got over it. Yoga is as much a mental practice as it is a physical one, and the slightest movement can awaken a host of challenges. Working through it is gratifying. My inner voice that needs the volume turned way down was grumbling away, but I was determined to commit to the commitment I made. Like I said, it's been a while and my inner calm was also in need of reawakening. The studio has markers on the floor for spacing... which I suppose are now considered optional. I was smooshed up against the wall and mirror in the front of class so I could see how my shape had "relaxed" from being out of practice. Instead of being cranky about it, I used the wall for extra leverage to go deeper into the twists. Praying for muscle memory to kick in, I struggled to do poses that were once quite easy a few years ago. The ambient lighting and the music are pleasant in the studio and the instructors offer direction to do poses correctly and with modification with not a lot of woo-woo chatter. That is an A+ for me as I really don't want a lesson in self help when I'm doing yoga. I showed up, that's enough! One of the really nice touches the studio offers is the instructor fanning the air with a eucalyptus infused towel over the practitioners in Shavasana, the final resting pose at the end of class. Then, when walking out, after class, since we are all 'aglow', there is a basket rolled chilled damp towels that are also infused with the cooling properties of eucalyptus to freshen up. Amen to that! There is also a water filling station to keep students hydrated. Many nice touches. There are lockers to store valuables and cubbies for shoes. Parking is fairly easy since it's a little south west of Old Town Pasadena. Another nice gesture is if you park on the bridge over the freeway, the studio will put quarters in the meter for you. I found plenty of non metered 2 hour parking on the street so it wasn't needed. So if you want to get back on the mat and enjoy your practice, this is a very nice studio.... just remember I told you it's HOT... not Bikram level hot, but warm at 85-90 degrees, so you've been preppped! read more

We met a very friendly team member at a YogaSix company booth at my son's high school run-fundraiser. YogaSix was offering a complementary class and we signed up for one! The experience from booking the class to taking the class was very positive. We were met with a smile at the front desk check-in. the studio is clean and fosters a peaceful environment, I love that theres cool air slowly changing the hot yoga atmosphere towards the end so it really fosters cooling down physically and mentally.. the instructor was also very encouraging and was guiding me with the poses as this is only my 2nd yoga class ever.. and the fact that theres a huge parking lot right next to them (thank you Ralph's) is a great plus.. give them a try, i think you would have a wonderful experience as I did.
