Not going to lie, I am partial to Y6 since I was a former lead teacher at my local studio. I'm a fan of the formats and the sensory experience. Y6 also does a great job of building community. Speaking of which, I appreciated the little chalkboard welcome sign especially for me! I purchased a $26 first week intro offer for unlimited classes. I saw the offer on their website but noticed that it disappeared a few days letter when I went in to buy the deal. I called the studio and was helped by one of their wellness advisors over the phone. Even though the offer wasn't available on their site anymore, she went ahead and honored the deal. I didn't find parking right away, so I called in the studio as I circled around the studio. I was told to park across the street at the metered spots, which there was plenty of. One of the perks is that Y6 pays for those parking spots. Every Y6 I've been to is more or less the same, but I was surprised to find that this location has an actual locker room. Got to love the most amazing water fountain. I also got to hand it to this location for having the softest hand towels. I took Erin's power class, which was fantastic. She had a great sequence, and her cuing was on point. She offered a lot of modifications that made the class accessible for everyone. I loved her use of blocks and how she incorporated them as part of strengthening. I have one more power class I'm signed up for until I head back up to the Bay Area. I am so looking forward to it! read more

I had a fun first session! Needed to call and reschedule my first classes due to a fever and the staff was attentive to moving the dates. It's a better experience to start with Restore because if you're like me (beginner) it was a relaxing introduction to taking more accelerated classes. The space is clean and nice! Just imagine you're a sardine because you'll be packed in like one in their classes. It was so so so full i couldn't even do the poses without touching someone or intruding their space. The locker room was nice though, and it was nice they had a welcome sign with ur name on it if you're a first time visitor. I didn't have a mat so I had pay $3 to rent one there. I had high hopes for this class but was disappointed. Studio won't be able to find this username in their database because i don't use my real name here. read more

This yoga studio is amazing! The teachers are amazing and every session has been restorative physically and emotionally. I love Yoga Six Pasadena. It's a lovely workout space, clean, modern and spare (which I love). My instructor Kyle is amazing - as I re-enter yoga practice to accompany spin, walking and aquatics. It is a great practice and re-set for the week. Everyone is very lovely and kind, including Kelsey at the front desk who is so welcoming and helpful when I leave something behind. Trying something new is sometimes intimidating. What I loved about YogaSix right from the beginning was how welcoming the owners, staff, and instructors are. Most classes are great for all levels and doing what suits your comfort and body is encouraged. Several membership options. Easy sign up process and no unwanted pressure to "buy". Classes are schedule via their easy to navigate app. The studio will cover parking on the bridge if you provide them with your license plate number. Merch and all the must haves are available for purchase in the shop if you need anything. Cold, delicious water filtration station is available. Fill up before and after class. It's seriously the best water I've tasted haha. And dare I say, the best part...cool, Eucalyptus infused towels available for use after class. Talk about refreshing. There are tons of pros for attending YogaSix. I can't wait for my schedule to open up more so I can reinstate my membership. Try a free class and fall in love. Pretty fun hot yoga! And the staff is very welcoming! I decided to try YogaSix when I saw it on ClassPass and signed up for a Y6 hot yoga class. The hot yoga class was HOT - I think we clocked in at about 105-110 degrees at the hottest moments. The instructors are clear with instructions, but sadly don't really do the yoga poses with you (which is something I usually like). My instructor talked us through each pose, but mostly just wandered throughout the class. Since it was my first time, they have a small chalkboard that welcomes you with the newcomers name. The front desk staff will give you waivers to sign and show you how to sign in regularly. They'll also give you a very brief tour of where the class, locker room, bathroom, and hydration station is. At the end of class, they will provide cold towels with essential oils which is a really nice touch! I didn't see any parking lot when I came, so I assume it's street parking only. Most of the parking spots nearby are meter, but if you park a little further away, there is street parking that's free. I highly recommend that you try to arrive 15-20 minutes before your class starts to look for parking and get settled into class. read more

The entire team at YogaSix Pasadena is fantastic - cannot praise them enough! I am pretty new to yoga and last night was my first time at YogaSix and taking a heated class. From the moment I walked in the door I was treated like a good friend who is cared about and belongs there. Every inch of the facility was impeccably clean. Mariam was the instructor for the Restore class and I was very impressed with how she was able to give so much individual attention to each of us who wanted/needed it, as she continued to guide the group. Here's the curveball - I got nauseous part way through class and needed to excuse myself. Having suffered from motion sickness for 25 years, I have puked in public many times - and what always makes it worse is the side-eye and silent judgement of strangers. Last night I received nothing but compassion and kindness as we waited for my stomach to settle. That isn't something that people are paid to do - that's just what good people do. This is a lovely hot yoga studio in the heart of Pasadena. They have a nice studio with a prop room in the back. The instructor will use different color lights throughout class as well. They've maintained a clean studio that I appreciate. At the end of class they offered a nice cool towel as well. Overall, I would come back again! They are also next to Tartine, what a nice treat after a hot yoga session! Parking can be a little challenging, but weekends have been ok for me. They do offer parking coverage if you park at a meter if you sign in I believe- double check with them about that feature. read more

I discovered this studio through Classpass! It's my first time at a YogaSix studio. Parking was a bit tricky-- only street parking available, but they reimburse you! The front desk lady was very friendly and accommodating. It's a very clean studio, but they don't have showers at this location. I took the Slow Flow class with Taylor. She was very clear with her instructions but the hip hop music in the background was very distracting.. I prefer zen instrumental music at my yoga classes so the musical lyrics aren't conflicting with the instructor's voice. They provided a complimentary eucalyptus towel at the end of the class which was very refreshing. Overall, it was a good experience but the atmosphere felt very corporate yoga. read more

Good people... I am always greeted with a warm welcome when I come to the studio... I like that they have lockers for me to use and an area for me to store my mat and change my clothes . They have a nice group of yoga teachers of which a few who resonate with me personally. One in particular who is not there consistently and usually subs for classes has become my personal favorite teacher... I've been coming to yogasix for a few months now, and have really enjoyed my experience here. The facility has one studio and it is kept very clean with no unpleasant smells or mustiness. When I first signed up, I felt that the staff was the appropriate level of welcoming and helpful asking questions without being overly pushy. I love that along with their regular class offerings, they do special classes and events to build community. It feels like a very friendly and nonjudgmental space. The practice itself is a calming, therapeutic vibe instead of super intense and pain-inducing lol I come here for physical activity but also to mentally unwind and the environment here really encourages that. My favorite classes are Power and Hot which have a classic flow type of structure. All instructors I've had have a really lovely, welcoming energy. I've brought multiple yoga first-timers and they've found it very approachable! read more

This was my first time at a YogaSix studio, and I've never welt more welcomed, and comfortable. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted and welcomed, and received a nice little tour. I was really impressed with their facilities. Everything is brand new, and clean. Since it was my first time, I was even offered to use one of their mats complimentary. They also have hand towels for sweaty folks like me. The restore class was great, and perfect considering I'm coming off some injuries. The instructor, Edith, was awesome. She was friendly, informative, but not overwhelming at all. Sometimes I've had yoga instructors that get overly spiritual that distracts from the yoga itself. But Edith was great about everything. She also gave suggestions when/how to use their yoga blocks. The blue glow and dimmed lights really helped set the mood. On my way out, we received complimentary eucalyptus towels to help freshen up. Considering this was my first visit, I was expecting the big sales pitch to sign up for a long-term commitment on my way out. I didn't get any of that, which I really appreciate. Upon exiting, the owner smiled and gave me a friendly farewell and hope that they see me again. Little things like this go a long way. Overall, YogaSix Pasadena is a great studio, offering great classes, and has a great staff. This is now one of my favorite yoga studios. read more

It was my first time here and I was excited to give this studio a chance. Although I was being turned away, I was willing to give them another chance till the Asian receptionist wanted to make it known that ClassPass members aren't welcomed so beware if you're using ClassPass! If I were the owner here and saw how the receptionist handled the following situation, I would be embarrassed by how little grace she had. I have ClassPass and walked in 1 min late with another girl. They let the other girl in but not me. I was curious and asked why to the polite receptionist talking to me. Midway through her answer, the Asian girl butted in even though no one was talking to her to say "because she's a Y6 member." Not sure why she felt the need to interrupt her colleague and also not sure why she couldn't politely just explain that I needed to sign a waiver but she didn't. Perhaps she just wanted to make sure I knew Y6 members get special treatment so next time, buy Y6 membership and not ClassPass? It's a weird business model to try to put ClassPass membership down so Y6 membership looks more valuable but to each their own. Next, I let her know that ClassPass did not have instructions on where to park but she insisted they did. After letting her confirm this on my ClassPass app for a few minutes that indeed there were no instructions, she didn't apologize she was mistaken. Instead, she just pretended it was a ClassPass app issue. I guess they prefer you be late to class and struggle to find parking so they can mark you as a no show so heads up to not fall for that! Anyway, I'm not sure why her parking instructions not showing up on the app would be my problem but then she proceeded to let me know they already marked me as a no show anyway and charged me a cancellation fee. There's a way to handle this with grace and politeness and there's another way that drives customers away. This girl did a great job at the latter and I think it speaks volumes to how this business trains their employees if they keep a girl like her around. read more

Love this place! I signed up online for their new member special for $99 for unlimited one month. Their app is also connected to the Apple Watch/health app, you just have to sync it. Their app is very user friendly to book classes and get reminders. I love it!!!! The staff members are all so kind! Some of them already know me by name and I've only been there twice. They always let me know what to expect when I'm trying a new class and encourages me to just take it at my own pace and take breaks when needed. So far the classes I've taken are Restore and 101 (these were recommended a long with other classes to help me ease into yoga). Lighting changes according to the class and music is nice!! I feel so great and relaxed after these sessions. Really amazing experience so far, I can't wait to try the other classes. read more

Cute, clean studio where you will get a great sweat. At this studio you are sweating because you are working hard not because it is a 102 degrees. It is a comfortable warm. There's a difference between a business not understanding your question or suggesting opportunities for improvement, versus me being out to get them. I'm a queer person of color who had confusion over their cancellation policy because one of the people who talked to me over the phone said something different from what was texted when I first signed up in 2023. Anyway, Kelsey picked up this call when I asked to cancel and she gave me attitude and shamed me for not understanding the policy. Ever since then, the staff started treating me differently. When I went to the studio, Erich kept talking to me as if "I don't want you to be upset" as if I was unreasonably upset before. Which I wasn't. I literally was just confused and Kelsey kept not understanding my confusion and instead shamed me for not understanding. On top of that, the next few times I called the studio Kelsey picked up and she gave me attitude and said, "I'm actually on a call" with annoyance as if I shouldn't have called. I literally don't care if you were on a call -- if you were busy, then don't pick up. I'm not in a rush and I'm not demanding that you need to reply me asap. Another time I called asking about the different yoga instructor styles and she scoffed as if it was a stupid question and said this instructor can't be compared to this other instructor because they're 2 different classes. Ya no shit. I then said, well that's not my question but it sounds like you don't want to help me so thank you and have a good day. Only then did she said, oh then what are you asking? And I said I'm just trying to understand if you had any insight on this instructor's style like are they energetic? Are they slower paced? Etc. And she gave me attitude and said, "oh well it's up to you what instructor you want to take I can tell you what their styles are but ultimately it's up to you to choose" in an accusatory tone as if I'm lowkey trying to blame them for not liking an instructor? For the record I love the instructors there. I had instructors that weren't a good fit for me like I'm slower paced so someone like Sky was more suited than Chasity. They're both great instructors just different styles! But for some reason the staff just thinks I'm out to get them. Perhaps because they associated my gender expression to white people karen vibes. Meanwhile I'm literally just genderfluid and Chinese and this is the way I sound like. Anyway, to further add to all this. I had my friend call right after I called Kelsey because I was going crazy. I was thinking well maybe I'm just reading into it and that's just not how Kelsey sounds like. No. When my friend called her tone COMPLETELY changed and she was SO kind to him. I even asked him to ask her follow-up questions like I did and she was SO patient with him. So I know for a fact that this studio's staff has been treating me like shit. Also I originally was not going to continue with this studio in 2024 but Erich specifically told me after I told him man, I would love to take the 101 class because Slow Flow was too hard for me in 2023, and he encouraged me to be on the lookout for more 101 classes in 2024 because I told him their 101 classes weren't offered in the evenings. And he suggested there would be more in the evenings in 2024. So when 2024 came along and nothing changed I felt ripped off that I paid more money for classes that were not going to be offered in 2024 that I wanted. NO BIGGIE THOUGH. I'm not a vindicating person. I made use of the Slow Flow classes that Erich suggested and it turned out GREAT. I had a great time with Skye. I was so happy. But Kelsey continued to give me attitude on the phone after all this happened and I asked to talk to Erich about this to resolve it privately over text but he never contacted me. It's gotten to a point where I'm so scared of the staff (to be VERY clear I loved the facilities and instructors), I'm literally just so scared by the aggression from this staff I am too scared to call or step foot into this studio. I feel absolutely treated as if I'm some monster and I don't feel safe. I'm probably losing around $200 worth of classes now by not attending anymore but I decided it's a loss I have to put up with because that's how scared I am of the staff. My advice to you, as a business owner, be open to receiving feedback and demonstrating active listening skills instead of assuming the worst in people, speaking for what they are asking/need, or ignoring them altogether. I feel absolutely disappointed that a yoga studio, a safe sanctuary of all places, is the business I feel the most scared to interact with now. This wonderful yoga studio just celebrated 2 year anniversary with the awesome free facial and body massage treatments with their customers. I am a big of owner Eric, staff Kelsie, Cherri, and Cheryl. The classes range from power, hot, restore, candle and 1:1 sessions. The facility is very clean and I love the generous and thoughtful eucalyptus cold towel to wipe off the hot sweats after each class! It's a great location and the staff and teachers are excellent. Lot's of different classes and times. Love this place! Everyone is so friendly and ultra attentive. They know my name and instructors get to know you too. I am new to the yoga practice, so I was a bit worried about joining classes in general. But here, they are super welcoming. They are aware of everyone's different levels and encourage you to go at your own pace, whatever is comfortable. The instructors are great. Each one with their own unique personalities. All are friendly and are genuine in helping to make your experience great. The place is a bit small but it is always kept tidy and fresh! I appreciate that equipment is provided.
