I've been a long time member of Corepower so I've had my fair share of hot yoga, and it makes me appreciate the way that hot 8 operates - they have multiple types of classes - I tried Strength, Yin, Sculpt, and they're all fantastic. The membership feels so worth it because of the variety of classes and the multiple rooms/times available. I will definitely be returning. Shout out to the front desk staff - they helped me solve issues with my booking process (my fault) and were so kind/patient when exposing the different classes to me. Oh and shoutout to Allison Chiang - the Strength instructor. She brought the energy and spent time on form correction. So key! Finally - there's free parking with validation in the building! Makes it so easy to commit to the practice.

My favorite class at the moment is Yin, which is a restorative deep fascia release class. (I've had some injuries unrelated to yoga, so I need something more restorative.) Prior to my injury I was taking the Barre classes for 5 to 7 days a week and it changed my life for the best. I am very much looking forward to taking the new Strength classes once I'm feeling up for it. I recommend Mia and Damara for Barre. I recommend Jaz, Shanai (who is also an excellent barre teacher too), and Rachel for Yin. Jaz teaches extra special Yin class with tennis balls that help students stretch into their fascia even more deeply, and is better than any massage I've ever had! With my injury, I'm not sure that I would have continued with my annual executive membership if Jaz were not teaching Yin. Her classes have been a godsend. Even when I'm healed I will continue taking her classes! All the teachers are quite good; I just have my favorites based on personality and instruction style. You are sure to find someone who will exceed your needs! The three reasons that I decided not to give the studio five stars are: 1. they've been running out of the towels that I get with my particular membership. 2. there are some rude students who interrupt important times of instruction, especially the Shavasana, which is critical to closing out a successful yoga practice. 3. The showers can sometimes be a little slimy, which is pretty gross. This was not the case when I first started taking classes almost 2 years ago.

I did have memory flashed back of this year in my mind during the session. The instructor was kind and informative. We had a private party booked so I wasn't too worried about leaving my stuff in the locker area. There are no locks in the locker area by the way. I think it may be better to try the sound bath at night or if they lights were turned off. It was pretty bright and when the instructor mentioned the white light, I only see light from the window above me. My coworkers saw colors during the sound bath. The staff is always friendly when I come in and they're happy to help with anything. I enjoy the variety of classes offered here, there's something for every need. The classrooms are heated and I definitely work up a sweat for the tough workouts/flows. The cool scented towels after classes are super nice. The studio is cozy! There's no showers, but all the areas including the bathrooms are very clean and well kept. There are lockers with built in locks to store your items. I'm in and out of there after my classes. I also love that they have community events and offer special things like sound baths here and there. I look forward to checking out these events in the future once I'm not so busy.

Now that I'm healed, I was thinking about going back to Corepower but the algorithm must have seen me browsing yoga studios and an ad for this place popped up on my Instagram for a $36 for 3 classes intro deal. I was a bit weary of my card automatically getting billed for a membership once my three classes ended, so I called the studio and spoke to Kelsey (She's the daytime studio manager I think) who assured me that there's no catch, I can take the three classes for $36 and decide from there if I want to buy a membership or not. She was super friendly and helpful, she asked me what I was looking for and helped recommend me which classes might be good for me. My first class I took Dahhee's mobility class which I enjoyed. While it definitely feels like yoga, it's not a traditional yoga flow class where you're doing chaturangas and sun salutations between each sequence but a mix of yoga, stretching, and strength building. The second class I took was Kyle's slow flow class. This was more similar to classes I've taken in the past at other studios and I really loved that Kyle integrated her playlist with the movement. The studio is also very welcoming, the first class I went to was an evening class and the evening studio manager Karisma greeted me and helped me check in, while the second time I went during the day and Kelsey was there. There's free combination code lockers in the locker room which is really nice, you don't have to bring your own lock. Parking is fairly easy, they don't have their own lot but there's free street parking on their street. Both times I found street parking right on their street, though they also validate meter parking as the free section is limited. You should give yourself some time to walk over in case you have to park up the street. The two cons I have are: 1) No showers 2) The classes are only warm not hot. I asked Kelsey and she said both classes I took they heat the room to 90 degrees. As someone who's always cold, 90 degrees I'm barely breaking a sweat. The no showers thing actually didn't matter too much because I wasn't drenched in sweat like I usually am after hot yoga. Next week I plan to take the "Power flow" class which I'm told is hotter and also more difficult, so I'm looking forward to it.

Nothing beats the intelligence of the Iyengar system, imho! I will say that Paul has a unique way of balancing his precise knowledge with a very spacious accommodation, which is TRULY the art of an engaged teacher. However, there are other instructors here (I won't name names) that unfortunately trigger my sympathetic nervous system with their tone, and overuse of the word "should." As much as I try to get past this, my breath and body just become tight, and I don't move as freely with overly managed instruction. Yoga House could be one of the last studios on the Eastside that uphold the integrity of a yogic learning environment. As a yogi of 25 years, and an instructor myself, I recommend the Iyengar classes to anyone working to heal injuries and those who want to deepen their practice. It's not a miracle, but a more serious approach to yoga can be transformative, on many levels.

I recently attended the class for people with mobility challenges, led by the incredible Peggy, and it was truly a transformative experience. As someone living with Lupus and Muscular Dystrophy, finding a movement space where I feel safe, seen, and supported has been a long journey. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed--not just by the staff, but by the beautiful community that gathers here. There's a genuine warmth in the room that you can feel, and Peggy's presence and guidance made all the difference. She was patient, attentive, and so compassionate, offering helpful adjustments and making sure each student felt comfortable and included. The studio is clean, calm, and absolutely beautiful. They offer plenty of props to support your practice, and the meditation beginning and at the end of class was the perfect way to wind down and reconnect with myself. It's rare to find a space that honors both your limitations and your potential--but Pasadena Yoga House does just that. If you're looking for a welcoming, inclusive, and healing space to move, breathe, and just be--you've found it. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio to anyone, especially those with mobility challenges or chronic conditions. I left feeling lighter, supported, and truly at home.

I just moved to Pasadena and my first class here was terrific- I love Neil's strength class. But…read moreupon attending my second class in April 2026 I had to take three minutes before class to fill out a parking validation form on my phone, asking for a ton of information as part of their new parking policy. The validation is for 58 minutes and doesn't even cover a whole class and time it takes to get back to your car (see the receipt attached below). This is an important detail because the building that hosts Pasadena Corepower (Residences at Westgate, owned by Greystar LLC) contracts with a predatory tow agency called Metro Towing. Warning: Metro Towing will absolutely tow your car if they have any chance. They did this to my friend, and CorePower staff lamented it had happened to numerous others, including the instructors. Go to the Metro Towing Yelp page and you can see how this company makes its money. The cost of getting your car back will be at least $530, and Metro Towing company is incredibly rude and dismissive when you call them. To be clear: the most troubling part of this whole towing situation is the complacent "oh well!" attitude taken by CorePower management. Their guests and instructors are getting their cars towed and they don't seem to even care! They put a small update on their formal website saying you now need to validate your parking- but honestly, who checks the website before taking a class? (By contrast, the facility where I play indoor soccer sent out SIX emails over two weeks with detailed maps showing where exactly to park in order not to get towed by neighboring businesses. That is how you get out in front of things and take care of your guests, even when the parking situation isn't yours to manage like it is here.) I have somewhat mixed feelings leaving a poor review, because this is really about management and not the instructors. But Pasadena Corepower Yoga and Greystone LLC (the building owner) have made the decision to stand by a predatory towing company, and therefore folks taking classes should be on notice. If you linger after your workout to shower or have a conversation with someone, you are putting yourself at great risk to lose your car and $530- even if you followed the validation rules parking your car. It makes no sense to me that a yoga studio of all places would nurture this kind of environment, but here we are.

I've been a longtime customer of Core Power Yoga and have attended dozens of classes at both the La…read moreCanada and the Pasadena studios. Unfortunately I had a very upsetting experience recently at the Pasadena studio. I attended class and parked in the structure the studio directs customers to use for "free parking." During class (which was a short 45 minute strength class), my car was towed and it cost me $533 and a lot of stress to retrieve it. What was most frustrating is that no one verbally informed me that vehicle registration was required every time we attend class. It was not mentioned when I checked in and was not mentioned by the teacher at the beginning of class. After the incident, the studio manager acknowledged that this has happened to many customers and even instructors before, which suggests this is an ongoing known problem. The towing company used by the building, Metro Towing, is a known predatory towing company with an extremely poor reputation. They have been the subject of numerous complaints and the Better Business Bureau currently gives them an F rating. https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/los-angeles/profile/towing-company/metro-towing-inc-1216-100105615 I later contacted CorePower Yoga customer service hoping they would help resolve the situation in a reasonable way. I asked whether they would reimburse the towing charge or provide class credit as a goodwill gesture or even contact the building/property management regarding whether there was tow authorization documentation that the towing company refused to provide me. They declined to do any of those things and said that there is signage at the studio directing customers to register their cars with the front desk every time we come to class. I understand businesses may have parking policies, but when customers are routinely being towed from the "free" parking lot a studio recommends, there should be very clear emails beforehand and verbal communication at check-in and at the start of class -- not just signage or buried instructions online. I genuinely loved my practice with Core Power which makes this experience especially disappointing - the whole thing left such a bad taste that I have switched yoga studios and will no longer be practicing with Core Power.
