Club Pilates in Pasadena (Hastings Ranch) offers a free intro class for those who are new to Pilates! I signed up for one of these classes and I had a great time. The instructor had clear instructions and she walked us through how to use the different machines and equipment, how the routines work the different muscles, and how to properly breathe as we move. There were three of us in the intro class at the time. Unfortunately, my friend was a couple of minutes late so they had her reschedule her intro class. They seem to be stricter on time compared to other studios but I get it. The facilities look well-kept and they have a hydration station and the bathrooms in the back. The cubbies are in the front as well as grip socks for purchase if you need them. Parking is easy and they have Chuck E Cheese as well as the Habit right next door. If I were just a little bit closer to this location, I would consider a membership but I travel a lot for work. The enrollment fee may be a barrier for folks but they may waive the enrollment fee during certain times of the year. read more

The door was locked with a sign that said use main entrance despite being the door by the public parking lot, with no other doors visible. A lady inside by the machines looked annoyed and said something but of course through the distance and glass I could not understand. Loved the stretch class with Ceza! She's super sweet and friendly. Was very helpful with postures and positioning of your body with each exercise. I always think I'm doing these exercises incorrectly so when she comes around to help your position it gives me reassurance that if she doesn't come to me then I must be doing my exercise correctly Everyone is always very helpful at the Pasadena location. I became a member of Club Pilates (Hasting Ranch) shortly after they opened this location. I'm so glad I joined; after having kids I couldn't do the high impact fitness classes I used to enjoy and it wasn't until taking Pilates reformer classes that I found a replacement to center and ground me again. Pilates helped me find and steadily rebuild my core strength. I appreciate how clean the studio is, and everyone is respectful about wiping down the equipment after each class. The different instructors bring their own unique styles and there are various class types and levels to try and build up to. Karen was great as a beginner to Pilates and thoroughly explained proper techniques. Joyce and Claire are great though my schedule doesn't align with their class times. I absolutely have to see Tere weekly or my week doesn't feel right. She is amazing, always challenges us and changes up each class so it never gets repetitive. Popular classes and instructors do fill up quickly so it's helpful to book as early as your schedule permits. The waitlist works although movement may not happen until a day before the class. They have Pinot and Pilates where you can reserve the entire studio for your own private event and I also highly recommend it. All in all, I'm so glad this studio (and Tere) is here. read more

One of my fave instructors (Jonelle) runs a fantastic center and balance class here on Friday evenings! Definitely check it out as a recovering class or just if you wanna get some stretch in your life! Jonelle has great energy and asks us what we need to stretch out before class starts so she can add some workouts for that. Parking gets a bit crazy on Friday nights with Chuck E. Customer service is horrible . I Can remember. I paid for classes but these classes were overbooking all the time .So you can't save your own spot! The people at the front desk Were rude most the time so I have to cancel my account ! Moreover, the instructors were ok and the people who attended there were not friendly . Let me start by saying.. I love club pilates and love my trainers here. I would not come if it were not for Tere and Octavio. Having said that after being here for three years (since the place opened) it is very very clear no one is managing this place. Equipment is never cared for (eg balls never blown up, markers never work..), repetitively people are missing from the front desk. The turn around is awful! I love coming to a place and being known... but over the past few months so many people at the front have changed and now our excellent trainers are leaving. I have never taken a Pilates class before but luckily they had a special Galentine's class that I easily signed up for and tried it out with my aunt! The instructor, Jonelle, did such a great job at guiding me through the excercises, correcting form, and keeping the class entertaining (love her playlist)! By the end of the class, I felt like I got a decent workout in and recognized some posture issues to work on in the future when I workout in the gym. Since it was a special Galentines event, they gave us each roses, candy, and fruit! It was the last class of the day so it was nice to relax afterward and chat with the instructor, others attending the class, and friendly people working up front. As a beginner to Pilates, I love the instructors who teach here and show you proper techniques and how to use the reformer. I love Pilates because it is a full bodywork out and fun. I enjoy squats, lifting and running, overtime it causes wear and tear on the joints. Pilates is the perfect work out to get the same results without the joint pain. It targets isolated muscle groups. I love the reformer exercises. I love the flexibility of the class schedule. I highly recommend it whether you are pregnant, postpartum or an athlete who needs more flexibility. read more

I've taken mat Pilates before at Arcadia community center. This is the first time of reformer Pilates. I've been consistently going for almost 2 months now and am considering getting unlimited classes but it's just sooo expensive! Morgan is great! Gives good instructions and makes adjustments for my needs and fixes my form when necessary. Everyone I've met here so far has been quite nice and accommodating. The facilities are clean. We clean all the equipment and mat we use at the end of every class. My only wish is they have discounts if you buy like 10 sessions ahead of time. read more

PLEASE READ! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR CLUB PILATES PASADENA (HASTINGS RANCH). Though I do believe the Pilates technique is amazing this franchise site (Pasadena | Hasting Ranch) has oversold memberships and has poor customer service, which has made it impossible for someone which a flexible schedule (as I do) to attend a class, though I was guaranteed that I would be able to attend a class even when waitlisted. Within less than 30 days of attending Club Pilates, I was only able to attend 2 classes due to every class being filled. In order to attend a class you must schedule weeks in advance (which was not what I was told at sign up). I called about this multiple times and was told that a manager would contact me (never happened). I also referred (2) friends within the first week of my membership and another friend during week 3-of my membership. I was told I would receive $25 for each referral to be used for either of the following: retail, membership or drop in classes. I chose to use my $50 credit towards membership which would have been towards my coming months membership. I called 4 times to have this completed, even offering to pay early (with credit being applied). I was told the manager (Mak) was the only person who was authorized to take care of this. I even left a (walk up) message at the desk for Mak, Mak NEVER returned any calls nor did she email. The final straw for me was, when I dropped into the studio to finally have this credit issue resolve. I was told (after the receptionist reviewed the notes stating what I said was accurate), and the receptionist speaking with Mak (via telephone), Mak stated, "this info was given to me in error", and that was not an option. When I asked to speak to Mak (after waiting several weeks) and not having any of my calls returned,; I was told it was her "off day" and she was unable to speak to me. I immediately returned to my car and reviewed my contract and saw that I was within the timeframe to cancel my membership. I went back into the club and was told that I could email the cancellation notice to the club and that the membership would be canceled that way. I informed Joanna according to the contract the cancellation notice needed to be written which meant it needed to be walked into the club. I proceeded to hand write the cancellation notice at the Club Pilates desk and proceeded with my termination documents. Though I will continue pilates, I will find a studio that not only values their customers at the sign-up process, but also values customers throughout their membership. With the state of our economy, it should be appreciated when a customer is willing to chose a business over so many. The newest Pilates studio in town! It's next to the habit / Chuck E. Cheese so enter from the backside of the plaza! I took a free intro class and then signed up for a membership. There's an enrollment fee ($99 usually but currently there's a deal for $59 and it was even $0 before they officially opened) + a monthly fee. You can do drop in single classes ($39), 4 per month, 8 per month, or unlimited. Unlimited is definitely the most bang for your buck if you love pilates like I do! They also have an app to reserve classes so it is convenient. I've been to several reformer pilates classes in the area and this is why I decided to stick with club Pilates by signing up for a membership: 1) proximity - most other studios are near old town Pasadena which is further for me 2) parking - other studios have a smaller lot, street parking only, or paid parking only 3) new machines & equipment - most studios have very nice equipment too but in this direct area, there is only one other studio and their equipment is janky 4) schedule - they offer morning beginning at 6am, lunchtime, and afternoon/evening classes starting ~3pm. They're also open 7 days a week! So much flexibility here. The only con is the pricing as it's slightly more expensive than other studios's single class and/or unlimited pricing. More pricey than Pilates sculpt, be pilates, and pilates body mind spirit. But due to the pros listed above, it's still worth it for me. I'm still trying out different instructors & I'm hopeful I'll find one I really like! They currently offer 2 class styles but they said more will be offered soon. I'm most excited for the cardio Pilates class so I hope that one comes soon! They also don't have a bring a guest/friend perk but maybe in the future! read more

But I must write a review for Club Pilates to give back what Clair has given me in this transformation journey of finding my path to a healthier lifestyle. I recently joined Club Pilates in Pasadena and South Pasadena. I absolutely love it! The facility is always spotless, and all members are required to wipe down equipment after each use, keeping everything clean and welcoming. The open, airy layout makes working out comfortable, but the best part is the instructor--I was so lucky to have met Clair! She is caring, attentive, and incredibly creative with her classes; there isn't a single class that is identical. She gives each student enough space without applying too much pressure, so you never feel intimidated. Yet when she knows you're ready, she provides gentle hands-on corrections, which I absolutely love because using the right muscles while listening to instruction is not an easy task! As she walks up and down the aisles, she makes small comments and adjustments, ensuring everyone's posture and positions are correct. There are a good variety of instructors so everyone will be able to find their fit after awhile. I've been going to this Club Pilates location for 6 months now and I love that it is conveniently located, very clean with plenty of parking. As a full time working mom of two young kids, I don't have the bandwidth to drive to the amazing studios in Pasadena, so I'm very happy having this studio nearby! However, the class quality/instructor style has really been a mix and I struggle to find an instructor I can commit to - someone I can feel pumped going to class for, you know? I have some instructors I actively try to avoid, which sucks because those were some time slots that worked for me. So 6 months in and I'm still experimenting with different time slots and instructors to see what fits. My favorite instructors so far have been Sara Beth, Isabella and Jonelle. This morning I tried out a 7:30am class with Ronie and absolutely LOVED it and thought to myself, "this is it - this is what I've been looking for. I'll switch to morning classes", only to find out she was only subbing and teaches in the South Pasadena location. I loved her style, pace, breathwork at the end of class, her music (why do we have such boring music at Club Pilates - let the instructors have their own playlists!) and she was the kind of instructor I've been looking for. I love this location but I'm still kind of on the fence about whether this is the right studio for me. My wishlist for Club Pilates Pasadena is for more consistent and elevated instructor styles, fun workouts (that don't feel robotic/lifeless), and better music that gets you in the zone for a workout. read more

I have been a member of this Pilates club for the past two years and I truly enjoy the classes. The system to schedule my classes is easy and convenient through the app. All of the instructors are highly trained. I especially enjoy my classes with Claire. Her sessions are challenging and invigorating. She's provides gentle guidance to ensure you are doing the exercises correctly. I'm sort of low to neutral-ish on this place..... PROS: easy parking; conveniently located; requires socks; clean. CONS: hard to book classes (they fill up fast); confiscates PAID FOR class credits if not used before next monthly billing date (even if they cancelled a class which caused the credit-use delay in the 1st place - and even if delayed by only 1 day!!); they will charge you a monthly fee (why?) to freeze membership for up to 3 months max (even if surgery/doctor's orders); if membership must be cancelled instead of frozen, you will have to pay $150 initiation fee all over again to rejoin (even if only gone 4-6 months); business feels cold, unfriendly. Recommendations for improvement: lighten up on draconian class credit rules; or refund unused class credits if you make it too hard to use them within very short period of time after new billing cycle (ie, a short grace period). Fully booked classes or having a class cancelled by club at last minute can make it hard to meet current rules. Bottom line, I recommend club rules allow a short grace period after billing cycle to use up credits from previous month. read more

About 5 months ago I took a "free" class using ONE PASS. I was, however, billed on my credit card for the class. I called and was told that billing me was a mistake and that I would receive a credit on my next credit card statement. When my next statement arrived there was no credit given so I called the studio and was told that was, again, a mistake and the credit would be given to me on my next statement. Next statement arrives, no credit. This routine goes on monthly. I give up. They win and can have my $...but I would never take a "free" class there again. read more

I've been with Club Pilates for 2 months now and I recommend this location for its comfort and cleanliness. I will say I have had several classes canceled last minute, both due to a leak issue in the building and instructor last minute unavailability. As this is a popular place where classes book out, it can be frustrating to find a replacement slot to refill a canceled class. I have always been treated well both by front desk staff and instructors. A very beginner-welcoming environment. I absolutely love Isabella as an instructor, she is my primary reason for keeping my membership active. She is gentle and encouraging, great with modifications and pushing you without being overwhelming. I have yet to check out the South Pas location, but it is an option to attend their classes with a membership which is a plus. read more

When I joined this club, I was just getting back into working out and jumping into a hard core Pilates class would have been too much for me. I like the fact that they have a Center Balance class that focuses on stretching with a light workout added throughout. This has helped me to translation back into working out again. The location and parking are convenient. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because the prices are a little high, but overall it's a good studio. read more
