Came to Forest Hill with my 2020 Subaru Crosstrek after a national chain failed my state inspection…read morefor obviously bogus reasons. As a mechanically competent person who does her most of her own car maintenance at home with years of experience on a military flightline, it was obvious they were trying to squeeze $$ out of me. Here's why you should choose Forest Hill- they don't just TELL you about your vehicle condition through questionable pictures via a "digital health report," they SHOW you. We walked through all the bogus claims from the chain (confirmed passable) and stood together under my car while it was on the lift to look at an actual wheel bearing issue that the chain completely missed. They were able to fix the issue same day at a fraction of the cost the chain quoted me for the non-existent issues - meanwhile I worked peacefully and productively on my laptop in their waiting area. They even let me borrow a car to quickly grab lunch while they worked on my Subaru. Within a few hours, my car was fixed, inspection stickers affixed to my windshield, and I left with peace of mind knowing my car was legal and ready for a long Labor Day weekend road trip. My husband has been taking his Tesla there for years, I should have been doing the same all along. If you want smart, reliable, friendly and trustworthy car care and live anywhere near Red Lion, this is the place.

I checked with the person at the counter that all those services were on the reservation and would get done. This was confirmed. I called at 2:30pm and it was just then getting an oil change. And this person on the phone says the inspection and emissions are not on the order. And even if it was they "didnt have an inspector there today". Went to pickup and the person at the desk was the same that confirmed with me in the morning the services. I asked why I could not get the inspection and emissions. He gave some reason with almost no detail that their "system was messed up across the company" and then said "thats the government for you". So blamed a technical error on their end but then the government. Then to top it off the oil change cost more for the suv than it costs for my Ram with a Hemi. The communication was bad to nonexistent. Why was I not contacted when an error "with the system" was apparent? Why was I not contacted when our vehicle was done with the oil change/tire rotation? Why did it take 6 1/2 hours to get around to an 8am appointment? They had our vehicle for their entire business day and did not communicate or apologize for the inconvenience. They deflected blame and charged a high oil change price.
