I purchased a 30 year-old Mercedes diesel and a few days later I decided to drive it to eastern high school for my daughter's track meet. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, I was draining coolant at a rapid rate. It was about 10 till 5 PM. Den's service center came up as the closest to me. I called so that I could get my car towed back home. The receptionist was very polite, took my information and within about 20 minutes they were there to pick me up. The tow truck driver was courteous, took special care in loading my car, and provided me with great conversation on the 30 minute ride home. The towing charge was fair and what I expected for the distance. I would highly recommend them for towing services. read more

If I could give more stars I would. This was our first time to Den's Service Center in East Prospect PA, we are new in the area. Kevin, our technician, was impressive, professional, knowledgable and an excellent communicator. We have an 18 year old Honda Ridgeline with over 257,000 miles, which needed full brake job all around everything associated with braking in the system needed replaced, this was a big and costly job on an old truck. Kevin did not hesitate to give us an estimate and looked over other things as well due to the age of the vehicle. He did a complete and thorough inspection, made suggestions on necessary repairs without exaggerating the situation. Whenever he saw something that might be a problem in the future or of concern he called me and we discussed options and at no time did they try to oversell the repairs. The staff is so professional, accommodating, attentive and friendly. As long as Den's is in business we will be a customer. We highly recommend them and ask for Kevin! Pricing was satisfactory with the amount of new parts and labor involved. Thank you for a job well done. read more

I had car accident a couple of months ago. My car needs a few small parts to finish. It took forever to get parts from manufacturing. But the shop manager went extra miles to call dealers from all over the country to get those parts for my car. He did a great job. I would recommend for everyone. So happy with service. read more

Den's has been my family mechanic for years. My father collected classic cars, and Den's was always there to fix them. The shop owner is Den, and all the mechanics are competent. Now, I go to Den's Service Center even though I live 20 minutes away. I know they will be honest and fair with me. read more

The BEST Customer Service!!! I always tell my wife that customer service is DEAD in this country. But Den's is a pleasant exception to this observation. When I got my vehicle back from having exterior service completed, even the inside was cleaned and smelling good. My truck has been washed and the tires sprayed to make them shine. I cannot believe anyone goes to the level of service that Den's does!!! read more

I will never bring a vehicle here again. I was spoken to so condescendingly concerning my car's issue and what I was told was completely wrong information. I plan on contacting someone at a higher level of authority with the county/state so this employee does not continue to use his position/knowledge to Importune repairs that are not necessary. read more

I have a 93 Cavalier Z24 convertible that had an electrical issue. They took the time to find the needle in the haystack. Got it running the way it should. Had an issue with the new starter and it was taken care, no problem, stood behind the work. Will definetly recomend to friends and family read more

First off, I am not very trusting of auto repair shops or dealers. I went to Den's because it was recommended by a family member. My rear pinion seal started leaking bad while on a business trip. I live in a completely different state. I called them up and they squeezed me in their schedule. Instead of an opening on Wednesday of the next week, they got me in first thing the next morning (Friday). They didn't try talking me into additional work. No extra "unforeseen" costs. A great price and excellent friendly service. I highly recommend them. My family member has been going there for about 15 years. read more

This was my second visit to this shop. I had a good experience with my inspection last year, and I…read morewould absolutely make that known if I had received the same level of service this time. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I recently brought my 2008 vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. Immediately after receiving it back, the shifter felt rough and misaligned in a way it had not before the service, and it gets stuck. Because the issue appeared immediately after the vehicle had been in their care, I contacted the shop and reasonably expected them to inspect it as a courtesy before asking me to pay approximately $120 for a diagnostic evaluation, which they required. I was not demanding that the shop automatically pay for a repair, nor did I expect them to diagnose an unrelated shifter problem during an oil change. I simply wanted them to investigate a new issue that appeared immediately after their service and determine whether it could have resulted from how the vehicle was handled under their care. Instead, the owner's response focused on the vehicle's age, mileage, unrelated recommended maintenance, and prior hood damage from a deer accident that occurred in 2018. None of those things explain why the shifter suddenly felt different immediately after the service. The response also unfairly suggested that I was only trying to obtain a free repair and refused to consider any other possibility. That misrepresents both my concern and my intentions. I had planned to return for the other recommended services, including the state inspection, until this happened. Had the shop simply inspected the concern and handled the situation professionally, my review could have been very different. I have no problem acknowledging good service when I receive it, as shown by the fact that I returned after my first visit. This was my experience with Witmer Auto. Rather than investigating a legitimate concern that arose immediately after service, the business shifted the focus toward unrelated issues and made assumptions about my motives. I will not be returning and believe other customers should be aware of how concerns may be handled when something appears wrong after service. Update: After I raised my concerns, the business contacted me by voicemail at approximately 5:07 p.m., after closing. Later that night, at approximately 11:55 p.m., the owner sent me a private Yelp message accusing me of planning to "defame" the business, stating that I was "making a fool" of myself, and telling me, "Call me tomorrow or my attorney will be calling you." I found this late-night communication hostile and intimidating, and it further reinforced my decision not to return or negotiate.

This place has really gone down hill over the last two years, I'm not sure what changed. We used to take our vehicles here exclusively and it was a decent place to go for service. The last few times we got cars back there was something wrong, i.e. loose lug nuts, disconnected battery terminal that was just sitting on the post. On top of that they seem to just want to nickel and dime you on everything. My husband said enough, we are finding somewhere else. read more
