I visited Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que yesterday and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end…read more From the moment I walked through the door, I felt welcomed. An employee was being trained at the time, and the staff immediately let us know this upfront. I really appreciated that level of transparency because it prevents customers from wondering why someone might be unfamiliar with certain things. Once we were seated, our server Virginia was amazing. She came to our table right away and helped guide us through the menu with recommendations that worked perfectly for both me and my dining companion. I ordered the Texas Beef Brisket and Catfish Fingers with red-skinned mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli, and a cornbread muffin. The food arrived quickly and everything was delicious. The cornbread muffin was melt-in-your-mouth good. My only small note is that the steamed broccoli was a little more cooked than I prefer -- I enjoy my broccoli with more crunch -- but that is purely a personal preference. One thing that really stood out to me was how well the staff worked together. Multiple servers checked on us and every interaction came with a smile and professionalism. The restaurant itself was also very clean and well maintained, which made the experience even more enjoyable. After paying our bill, we had the opportunity to speak with the manager, Leonie. After talking with her, it became clear why the team operates so well. Leadership truly sets the tone, and it is obvious that the culture she creates carries through the entire staff. I am not in Laurel very often, but I will absolutely make it a point to stop by Famous Dave's whenever I am in the area again.

The catfish fingers were cooked to perfection and the seasoning was on point. Rib tips could have used a bit more seasoning.. The banana pudding was delicious. Our server was very nice and professional. She provided a good service. The place was clean and not too noisy.

If you love onions you'll enjoy the onion crumble on this burger. A good balance of flavors and well worth the try. Parmesan fries also had roasted garlic so it was a big "Yes" for me! My husband got the jailbreak burger which was also a big crowd pleaser. To the right they have a full bar to try their different beers. A great spot to take your friends for after work drinks and eats. They even have a cozy lounge area to relax. Plenty of seating and great service. The staff was ready and willing to help and cleared off our tables for us. The tab system makes it easy to move from room to room so you don't have to worry, it's easy to add drinks and food as you relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Will definitely recommend for a relaxed atmosphere where you can watch games and also enjoy lively conversation. Better than a sports bar for food AND drinks.

There was like a tangy sauce on the tuna which took away from the flavor of the fish and for $22 I was expecting something a bit more. Otherwise, Jailbreak is always a solid choice for drinks and grub. They usually have reservations and larger parties, but it's a pretty open/communal space, so there aren't typically issues with seating. All in all, a great spot for many occasions.

Mad Cow Grill - Nice new spot in Laurel! Drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts are great! Service was great too - attentive. Cool decor and artwork!

Service: waitress was kind, but service was extremely slow. 2 beers took about 15 minutes to make it to our table; I ordered a mixed drink and was given the incorrect mixed drink, which I went to the bar and traded out for a beer instead because our server didn't come back to our table to check on us for a significant length of time. We ordered several menu items they were out of and we weren't told that they were out until about an hour and a half into waiting for our food. We ended up with three side salads, 1 app, and 1 meal for a group of people. We asked our server for the check, which she failed to bring after 15 minutes. Hungry and desperate to leave, a member of our group went up to the bar, had the bar tender remove the food we were never given, and paid. Overall: Horrible experience w/ sub-par food and even worse service. Spend your money elsewhere.

The is my first review of November so I'm behind but will be catching up soon...lol But back to Mad…read moreCow I came on yesterday (11/9/25) around 1pm to meet up with some friends for Brunch. Usually with brunch we would do the bottomless mimosas and all but because I was driving I decided not to participate in that. And usually I would get chicken and waffles but I was in the mood for a burger. So I thought because their name is "Mad Cow" the burger would be the bomb...but nope it was not good at all. So I prefer a beef burger cooked medium with blue cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onions. When I burger got tot the table it was dry as a board. No blue cheese that I paid extra for and the burger was not cooked correctly it was cooked well done. Smdh. So the waiter brought me my blue cheese apologized about it and also gave me a mayo bottle. Even with the burger still was not good and the patty was so thick with no flavor not even salt and pepper was in it!! I tried their punch drink which was really good but for $15 a pop in a regular water glass was ridiculous. Make sure you don't get too tipsy as they already have like a 20% gratuity added on each of our checks no matter how small or big your group is which again is ridiculous! Will I come back...maybe only because I would like to try some Jamaican food they offer. But for brunch...it's a no for me!

The table behind me said they saw something too. I told the server, Andrew and he offered to give us a discount and admitted to having a mouse issue lately. That should have been the warning sign for me but we just got our food. I kept looking over and I didn't see anything but Andrew placed the broom and dust pan near where the mouse was. So I got up to get some cream puffs and as I about to sit down, the mouse came back and I told Andrew and he got the broom and dust pan and caught the mouse and killed it and proceeded to have us pay. This is what really ticked me off. I went to the front before we left and asked to speak to a manager. The girl looked and then looked over at her friend (who probably wasn't the manager) and said here she is. I told her what happened and she said "yeah sorry, we have someone coming next week and he didn't kill the mouse, he let the mouse go right outside". SERIOUSLY? That mouse is coming right back inside! This is a problem that pest control needs to come out IMMEDIATELY! I just watched a mouse get killed/caught while trying to eat! I stopped and lost my complete appetite. I will be informing the PG county health department immediately and I will never come back here if this is how they operate. The "manager" clearly was more focused on closing and getting out at 10:30pm (they close at 11pm).

This spot has so many wonderful food stands. Upon walking in, you can pick up a cart to explore all of the stands. My kids love this place as much as me since you can find so much variety. Our first stop is the very busy Amish soft pretzel stand. My kids love the standard soft pretzel dipped in melted butter and topped with rock salt. My personal favorite are the stuffed soft pretzels like the pretzels stuffed with roast beef and cooper sharp cheddar. Nothing tastes better! There are also many other stands that offer fresh produce, meats, cheeses and baked goods. I particularly like Bieler's Donuts, the same place you'll find packed lines in Philadelphia right here. It's such a fun place and my kids love it. But most importantly, this is dad's spot!

Using his wits, his ingenuity, and unparalleled levels of skill and perseverance, Aatami Korpi, who earns the moniker of "the man who cannot die," escapes not just bombs and machine gun fire but a plane deployed as a missile. And yet, the most moving moment of the film is not found in one of its many arresting action sequences but in a single line of dialogue, spoken by one of six Finnish men, who, along with one teenager and one boy, carrying hatchets, axes, and tools, interrupts the battle-finished Korpi's work on his new home to ask in Finnish, subtitled in English, "We thought you might need some help?" Speechless and shaking with relief and joy, Korpi watches the strangers get to work on his roof, walls, and foundation. That level of kindness, assistance, delight, joy, skill, and service can be seen in every vendor at the Dutch Country Market Thursdays through Saturdays at 9701 Fort Meade Rd in Laurel, MD. Whether it is homemade pretzels, pasta salads, chili, produce, meats, cheeses, popcorn, donuts, or varieties of dark chocolate, candy, or fudge you seek, you will find plenty to whet your appetite. Mind you, most, if not all, of everything contains zero preservatives. Our advice is to buy what you can enjoy soon or share your purchases with company before it's too late.
