Supreme Barbeque - Pork Ribs

Welcome to Supreme Barbecue restaurant in Lanham-Seabrook area. This is Filipino bbq inspired by…read moreTexas style cooking. This restaurant is located in the shopping center nearby the Bank of America. It's easily accessible for persons with ADA needs. The service was friendly as I was greeted by nearly all of the staff. There is lots of available dining space is you choose to eat in the restaurant. I decided to order al a carte having the brisket (fatty) point and Smoked wing(ettes). The brisket was very tasty and tender; however, the fat wasn't rendered properly. Despite not having a better fat render the slices from the point were juicy, developed a bark decent that was slightly gritty, absorbed good smoke, and enjoyable. The smoked wing was good and I did noticed quite a bit of feathers left on the wing itself. I'm not sure if this was due to a more affordable lower quality product or not properly inspecting the meats they cook presented to the customers. I did have the boba Thai tea which was very delicious and did not make the posted photos. Next time I'll order it half sweet but man was it good. Overall this is not a bad spot to have bbq. Note I did not try the pork ribs today so I do not have a fair review to give them. The looked and smelled amazing. Overall 3.2 of 5 from today's experience. My considerations: inspection of the meat qualities especially for the poultry products. For the brisket at some point later during the cook bumping the temps up a bit higher to help render the fat more or simply trim out the untended fat at the end of your cook. Also though the bark looked good and you had a good salt content just monitor the seasoning stage to avoid some of the grittiness developed on the bark. Could be fixed with a larger course grind without sacrificing flavor. I can't wait to return and try it out again. Thank you for serving me

Mission BBQ is awesome, and this trip was the reminder that I needed! I did not know what to get,…read moreso after staring at the menu for some time.. I decided on shrimp and salmon with mac&chz. I'm not really sure what Mission BBQ do for their recipe, but the consistency is unmatched! It's not too soupy, too noodl-y, etc. Just good! While sitting at the table, a server walked around with sausage samples and I couldn't help but try it! It was classic-in taste and was decent, but I bet the jalapeño and cheese one would be even better! I actually had not been to Mission in so long, I might have to come back sooner for their cheesy potatoes. : )

The yard bird was flavorful( ending up eating for dinner), definitely eat the breast while it's hot though, because like most chicken breast it starts to dry out if it sits. The pulled chicken was tender and well seasoned. The turkey might've stolen the show, very moist and flavorful. The greens were pretty good too, and they're meat-free which I appreciated because I don't eat pork or beef. Service / Timing: Food came out quickly and everything was fresh. Value: $30 for the half chicken, 2 meat sampler and greens felt like great value in my opinion. Highlight Turkey. Wrap-Up: Solid BBQ meal overall. The turkey and pulled chicken stood out, and the sauces were surprisingly good. Go with the darker sauces, my favorite was the Smoky Mountain.

And certain things revolving around the menu and availability of different dishes ( like Ox tails) wasn't made clear to me. And for the life of me I don't know why the food was so oily ? With that said, once I transferred the curry chicken to a plate and actually got to the food... all of my worries were washed away by the delightful Caribbean cuisine.

This was my second visit. The first time, the service felt a little cold, but this time was a huge improvement. The women at the front desk were working non-stop; taking in-person orders, answering phones, packing food, handing off Uber Eats orders, basically running the entire operation. They were clearly working hard and keeping everything moving as efficiently as possible despite how packed it was. I ordered the large brown stew meal with cabbage only, plus an extra order of jerk chicken (dark meat, mild). The food was exactly what I hoped for: comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Bottom line: the food had to be good because this place stayed BUSY!!! Definitely worth the wait if you're craving solid Jamaican food.

Period…read more I've been seeing this place all over social media, so when I found myself in the area, I had to see what the hype was about. First off, parking is easy. It's in a shopping center, so nothing stressful there, and the restaurant itself is easy to spot. Walking in, the first thing I noticed was how clean, polished, and classy everything looked. Even though it was busy, it didn't feel chaotic. The staff immediately greeted me and asked if it was my first time which I appreciated. They didn't just rush me through the line; they actually took time to explain the menu, how the bowls are built, and offered samples. That alone made the experience feel welcoming and intentional. Now let's get into the FOOD. Everything looked fresh. They have about four rice options (which is already a win), and I went with the pineapple coconut rice. For my protein, I chose grilled chicken, but they also offer shrimp, salmon, and even a mushroom option for vegetarians and honestly, the mushrooms looked so good I almost switched. For my added sides, I kept it simple because I really wanted to taste everything. Collard greens and sweet potatoes. But they also had plantains, and okra....real deal soul food options. Then you get into the fresh toppings. Slaws, carrots, pickled veggies. I kept it light. I finished my bowl with collard green pesto (which intrigued me, and I'm glad I tried it) and added an étouffée sauce over my rice... and listen!!!!! That combo? Chef's kiss. I grabbed a tropical punch juice, and just like everything else, it tasted fresh and well-made. Let me say this clearly: the food is a 10/10. If you're someone who will give Chipotle chance after chance, then you absolutely owe it to yourself to try Spice Black. 10/10. Worth your money. Worth the hype. Worth the experience.
