Food and service was very disappointing. Food took a long time. I see few people getting their food first when I've been waiting for mine. I had to walked and asked two different people about my order and why its taking a bit long than others. When I got the food Ramen was warm and miso soup was down and to top it off hair on my sushi! Cashiers/servers are not very attentive. You have to clean your own table. I'm very disappointed. Fairfield location maybe smaller but better. read more

Okay sushi for an okay price. I used to go to the Yo sushi in the one in Fairfield. It's been awhile since I've gone and now that I've moved back into the area, I was curious to try out this location as I've never been! I ordered a late to-go dinner because I wanted a small snack that wasn't fast food. I got a dragon roll. It was just okay. The fish did not taste too fresh and the rice also seemed a little old. I was not too impressed but it did the job. We also ordered miso soup that was luke warm. My fiancé ordered a few rolls as well as said they were just okay. I wonder if it was because I ordered so close to their closing time that the food wasn't hitting the spot well. I may have to try again during their lunch hours or earlier in the evening! I am definitely willing to give it another shot and would update my review when the time comes! read more

I was in the area last week for a work trip. This place is a hole in the wall. Small place but it had plenty of seating inside. So much to choose from. Lots of sushi, sashimi, bowls, and plates. The prices were great for what you get. The kid at the counter gave a couple of older ladies a hard time when they left their plates on the table after they finished eating. A few minutes later the owner was out there bussing tables so I can't ding the restaurant for one employee with the wrong attitude. Do yourself a favor and try this place out! read more

I don't know if it's the best sushi spot around, or if I just haven't had sushi in awhile, but I thoroughly enjoyed the food from here. Honestly I haven't ordered sushi in a long time, but had a craving. Usually have pretty low expectations for any Vallejo establishment, but happy to say I'm a happy customer. Convenient location off Glen Cove with plenty of parking. I got there pretty early (4pm) but it was still fairly crowded. Like most sushi restaurants, the menu was huge, but they're smart enough to have photos of everything. Service was very friendly, patient and helpful from a young kid. I give him a lot of props for answering all my questions, eventhough they were busy. I got a bunch of rolls, some sashimi, fried seafood combo and tonkatsu. Everything was really good. Tonkatsu was little thin and dry, but not to the point where you couldn't enjoy it still. Will definitely return to this local spot to try more items. read more

Sushi was fresh and the rolls were delicious. The staff were friendly and the wait was not too long especially since the lion king roll was said to be a 20 minute wait but it was less than that. I promised last time that I would have pictures, and this time I write this review to deliver on that promise! I've been craving some sushi during these pandemic times. I almost forgot about this place. To me, it's almost what you would think of if you wanted some fast food sushi. Not to try and take away from the charm of this place because the food is pretty solid, but that is my image of Yo Sushi. It's like going to McDonald's and getting a Big Mac or Fries. Sure you can get a fancy burger or fancy fries somewhere else but there is something special about McDonalds. The same can be said for Yo Sushi. I ordered the Philly, Caterpillar, Airforce, Hot Mama and Island Rolls. All were pretty tasty. The Philly was creamy. The Caterpillar's roll had fresh avocado. The Airforce had a lot of flavor. The Hot Mama had the perfect amount of spice to it and I appreciate the green onions as well. Finally the Island Roll was had a really nice flavor with the lemon on top. I'm so happy to have a sushi place that delivers via Door Dash. I'm not sure if anyone is reading this lives in Benicia, but if so they might know that the list for Doordash in Benicia wasn't the best of list over the last year or two. I'm happy that it has expanded a little bit. I was very impressed with the service this run of Yo Sushi and can't wait to try some more rolls again soon! read more

Docked off one point because I went to dine-in during a time where it wasn't packed at all, and I had a small order, but I waited almost 30 minutes for it to come out (for reference I usually have much bigger orders that take around the same time so I was really disappointed). A staple sushi spot in Vallejo, Yo Sushi has been my go to place for some quick, good sushi. Plenty of rolls and more on their menu with a vast selection for multiple palettes. Service is always friendly and efficient. You can't go wrong if you're in the mood for some solid sushi. Yo Sushi in Vallejo is located in Glen Cove in the Safeway shopping center, adjacent to the Chase bank. Being in a busy shopping center, there is a large shared, free parking lot. Orders can be placed in person, by phone, or online. The ordering process for all three options is easy and straightforward. Staff is always patient and helpful despite how busy I've seen them get. I've been a long time patron since they opened and have tried many things over the years. Some staple favorites are the Monkey Banana (the sweetness with the fried banana brings the dish to a new level) and the Angry Lion King (love the regular Lion King with the baked salmon, but the extra crab meat on the top elevates the roll just a bit). If you're a fan of the Lion King (or any of its variations), be sure to plan ahead because it will take about 15-20 minutes to prepare since it needs to be baked. It will be worth the wait though! Rolls in general can sometimes be packed with more rice than desired, but taste and quality are good enough to keep me coming back! If you or any others you'll be dining with aren't into sushi, they do have several kitchen items catering to many preferences. There aren't many sushi options in Vallejo, but Yo Sushi is a solid one if the craving hits you. read more

This use to be my Go To sushi spot in Vallejo & was super excited when they expanded from their original location in Fairfield several years ago. But I noticed there's been a big change...not a good change. Has there been an onwership change?? My last few visits in the past 6 months, i've noticed prices continue to go up but quality has gone down. 1. Gyoza are supposed to be deep fried but comes out semi fried...like it's been pre cooked and reheated 2. Teriyaki chicken is horrible!!! Grilled chicken thighs cut in big chunks and drizzled teriyaki sauce on top. You can tell the chicken had no seasoning . This is the same for the beef teriyaki. 3. Sushi with tempura...tempura doesnt seem fresh 4. Sushi rice is hit & miss...sometimes its too mushy other times its hard. I'm starting to look for other sushi places read more

This was my first time coming here! If you want something quick but not super fancy or expensive for sushi, this is somewhere to consider going to. We came around 6:30 on Tuesday and it was quiet and wasn't crowded at all! Service was quick and friendly. You order at the cash register, and the staff bring it out to you. The food was good and super filling! My favorites of the night were the crab mania roll and the angry lion king roll. What really caught my eye on the menu was the monkey banana, which had crab meat, tuna, mayo, and fried banana. An interesting combo but somehow still good! The most recent purchase was at this week's Nihonmachi Fair in Japantown in San Francisco. I was looking at other people's orders to see the portion size of fish. Well, I didn't want to look creepy anymore so I stood in line to buy my own. As I waited in line, I remembered the scant amount of fish when I got them at the Union Street Festival. But I enjoyed the flavors and textures. Well, I got about 6-7 small cubes of tuna. The avocado was slightly frozen, but I didn't mind that too much because of the hot weather. And the other flavors and textures were consistent like before. I know that costs are at an all time high, and the price point for selling food should be reflective of those costs, labor, permits, etc. And I know vendors are cognizant of what price points will be attractive to buyers. But seeing the small amount of tuna is still nonetheless disappointing. Yet, out of all the street festivals I've been to, I don't see a product similar to this one. Absolutely the worst sushi I have ever had in my life. I went there and saw their menu and it looked really, really good. More Ameri-sushi - lotsa deep fried items besides the typical soft shell crab roll. I ordered the NorCal something or other, my friend ordered a tempora meal. The tempora appetizer we had was ok but the tempora she ordered was disgusting. It wasn't the nice, light tempora. It was heavy batter with no flavor, really doughy. Mine had so much thick batter on it, it was truly gross and not nicely crunchy, it was like a hard, deep fried shell roll. Yuk. For 10 bucks or for 1 buck, not worth it. I took it back to the counter and was nice about saying that it was too battered...etc and gave it back. The guy just looked at me and said nothing. I had to say "can I get something instead? or you can just give me a refund. I ordered Maguro suchi -on the menu, it is two pieces of sushi with a slab of tuna on it for the same price as what I had originally ordered. What I got was ONE shrimpy piece of rice with tuna. It looked like it was colored to make it more red. I went back to the bar and said, if you are only going to give me half an order, you need to refund me the difference or give me a full order. He brought out the other half in a few minutes. It was barely edible. Like they took a piece of rejected tuna and threw it on the rice. It was fishy and I spat it out. I didn't even bother to take it back or get a refund. I just won't ever go back. My friend was also not happy about her meal and left most of it. She is just one of those people who is too shy or feels bad to send food back, so we just left. This is only the 2nd time in my life that I have ever sent food back, since, even if it's not that great, I may let them know if the server asks (also tell them how great it is when it's good) but to send something back, it's gotta be super gross. read more

So I get here at 8 cause they close at 9. The worker tells me I can't eat there cause they close at 8:30 and that they have to change the closing time on their website.. Irritated, but whatever that's fine. Meanwhile a guy who is dining inside gets his order not even two minutes after I get mine but I'm not allowed to eat there? wow. So I go home with my now Togo order. Just to get home with my sushi and there's Siracha on my glen cove roll. So now I have to drive back because the order is wrong. Siracha doesn't even come on that roll, a shame I couldn't have dined inside instead of driving all the way home to discover my order is wrong. So I go back inside, tell them there's saracha on it. So they remake it. It's now 8:31, then a big family comes in and the same guy that tells me they close at 8:30 tells them they close at 8:30-9... what happened to changing your website? So he basically lied straight to my face.. And then takes their large order. It's now 8:45 and I finally get my sushi make it home by 9, The sushi was great. But that was by far the worst customer service I have ever seen and that's saying a lot because I come from the restaurant industry. That was absolutely ridiculous and I will be telling all my friends and family about this. read more

I order from this place all the time and never think to leave a review because lets be honest here, we never take the time to review businesses when they are great only when in our opinion "do a bad job" so I thought I would leave a review. I placed an order and my order was wrong. At first I went through all my stages of anger, frustration and promising myself that I would never order from this place again, but who are we kidding, I love this place. THEN I realized I placed the order wrong. I called and they were very nice and sent it out again. I think sometimes we all just need to take a moment and look at our own actions before we are so quick to "react". Some of these businesses are just trying to get by and stay in business especially with what we all just went through. If we all took a minute to take a "breather" before reacting, I think things would just be better. But hey, this is just one persons opinion. read more

I recently visited Yo Sushi in Glen Cove and I can't say enough great things about my experience! This place, like a fine wine, has gotten better with time. I've been here twice years ago when it opened and did not like it. But recently I was talked into going there and I was pleasently surprised! Super good, super fresh and super big! I was completely caught off guard. I really enjoy this place e now and have since had dinner there again and plan to over and over again I'm the future. This is my go to sushi joint. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the fish is always fresh. I love, LOVE, their spicy tuna everything. The roll pieces themselves are enormous. My partner and I have had to seriously reconsider how we order when we eat there. I'm usual hangry and want to order one of everything but seriously one or two rolls does it for me. If you want great sushi at reasonable prices where you wont feel like you have to take equity out the house or apply for a car loan except that its for sushi then Yo's! is the place for you! Pictures hanging make it easy for you to order and know what your getting. Ive always left satisfied ordering one or two rolls. My favorites are the dragon, travis, and super California roll. This place has no waiters or waitress. To me, that just means I don't have to tip. There plenty of free parking, and right across from a Safeway, if i need to get anything after dinner. It has a fast food atmosphere where you have to order your food at the counter. Its clean and well lit. The food is great. I had the Yo Nigiri combo and my friend had a Monkey roll and a Caterpillar. Personally, I think the sushi here is pretty darn good. For an inexpensive sushi meal they can't be beat. Don't compare them to full fledge sushi places. That's like comparing apples to oranges.
