This is my go to fast food Japanese restaurant in town. Its affordable and has every Japanese dish you crave such as sushi rolls,teriyaki,ramen, and traditional appetizers. I have been coming here since it opened over 10 years ago I have never left disappointed. I usually order food togo since the place is small and more than likely won't be able to grab a seat if you come during the rush hours of lunch and dinner. Came here tonight with my boyfriend for a light birthday dinner. I ordered the Crunchy Roll and he ordered the Giant roll. The crunchy pieces in the roll were gross. Terrible experience. We decided to eat there, and wanted to try one of the juices we've never had before. They have the drink refrigerator in the dining area. After looking the different drinks over, I went to the register to pay for the drink. When I gave her the drink to ring up, the cashier, Monica I believe, flat out accused me of stealing other drinks. I was shocked. She said "Are you going to pay for the other one as well?" I didn't realize what she meant at first, and I said "no, just this one :) " and she again said "so who's going to pay for the other ones? I saw you take them". 'Yo Sushi' Is a small and modest sushi spot with ample parking. The inside of the restaurant has a few tables but they're are more tables outside. If you've never had sushi before and are scared or unsure what to order this place is for you. They have a giant menu board with tons of well taken pictures and excellent descriptions. The customer service is excellent and the food tastes great. They also have a nice selection of ramune which was a nice surprise. Ramune is a carbonated Japanese soda I grew up drinking so it was nice to share the experience with my daughter too. The salad was really good and refreshing. The rainbow roll was alright. I was told the lion king roll is a "Bay Area thing" which is why I've never heard of it or tried it before. I'm not sure what was in it but it was really tasty. The hot mama was also something new to me, and it was super delicious. It was my favorite out of the 3 rolls. The sizes and price point was really good too. We spent around 30$ and shared it among 3.5 people. The .5 is my 3 year old and she loved all of it, even the hot mama which has a little spice to it. Anyone who lives in the area will tell you that, hands down, Yo Sushi is the place to go for quality rolls at a quality price. Space can be a little small and the wait for food can be lengthy due to the high volume of orders they receive. I recommend calling in advance on your way their to pick up, cause it can be awhile in between ordering and receiving your food. Still the rolls are great, and they offer a huge selection of food to choose from. My recommended rolls definitely has to be the Lambada. The center is just tuna and salmon with avocado, Japanese Mayo, and their house sauce on top. It's simple, easy, and my go to recommendation for people looking to try a new roll. Their Magic Ball (stuffed mushroom) is also great, and the Yo Nacho (crab salad on the wonton chip) are also just as great too! read more
