This is an update to a previous brunch review that had some issues. The manager kindly reached…read moreout and provided a $100 gift card to entice us to give them another try. This time was a dinner for three. We started with a dozen oysters on the half shell that were fresh and delicious. Appreciated that we were notified that they have Happy Hour Tues-Fri 3pm-5pm with 1/2 price oysters. Also had the Fried Smelts which were tasty. Two of us had Craft burgers. This time they did arrive as ordered (last time med rare arrived well done) but they mixed the orders. One was med rare and the other rare. Not nice having to change burgers after each taking a bite. Despite the mix up the juicy burgers and fries were excellent. The other order was the Braised Beef Cheek Birria Grilled Cheese. This was very good but a touch pricey at $28 for what you get. Speaking of price, the craft burger is $24. I asked for a side of mayo for the fries and it arrived promptly. They charged $2 for the mayo which was not mentioned. Considering that our total bill ran $250 it seemed out of place to charge for mayo. One of the best reasons to come to Craft Farmacy is to try craft beers which they rotate regularly. We each enjoyed a beer or two. For desert we ordered their Chai Crème Brûlée and Crack Pie with gelato. Both are highly recommended. We also had glass of sherry that unfortunately was off and had to be sent back. Replaced with a glass of Port. When the bill arrived the sherry was not removed, they did take it out when we caught the mistake. Our meal was much better than the last visit. All of the food was well prepared this time but the little mistakes on burger mixup and sherry on the bill were disappointing. Still if looking for a good burger and a great beer you can do a lot worse than Craft Farmacy.

Crispy and not over fried... spatzle was light and perfect pan fried off. Simpley lovely. And I want to comment that they do a fantastic job washing their beer glasses (and I assume other things). Overall, it was just an ok experience for me. These wings that were recommended were baked and not fried. As one previous reviewer stated, it's hard to keep sauce on naked wings. I went with KLB Raspberry Wheat as a beverage. Although it was in a can, it was pretty good. For the wings, I honestly cant remember what sauce I got. I guess that shows how memorable it was. So, yeah. They were just a basic plain chicken wing. I did opt for some dessert, as I am one to not turn down a tiramisu. Now, this, was excellent. Top notch! On a side note, a co-worker was sitting next to me, and he got the meatloaf and said it was excellent. Maybe I should have gotten that? Nah, I am very particular to meatloaf. But anyway, I would probably go back.

I tried the Garlic's burger, which was okay, but nothing special, though still decent. The gnocchi was soft and pillowy, but the flavor wasn't really to my liking--it's heavily mushroom-based, so mushroom lovers might enjoy it more. I wished it had more of a nutty flavor. The pizza, however, was the star of the show. It was genuinely excellent, topped with pesto, arugula, and ham. It was so good that I still miss it! Overall, it was a good place to visit, especially after hearing some positive feedback from others. I think the dinner menu and service might offer a better experience.

You *smell* it on the way in and it's positively fabulous how potent the garlic is. Service staff were stellar too, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys if you're nearby! Very kind service staff from start to finish. Didn't matter who's table it was, we were treated very well and had swift actions despite their busy peak hours. Interior is lovingly local with loads of signed art posters of shows while keeping furniture of decor looking pretty modern. Bread 5/5 Usually I highly prefer warm bread, but the bread was a nice spongey foccacia with a lovely chew paired with a fresh spicy olive oil dip. Good enough for some seconds! Garlic bisque - 5/5 Fresh black pepper grind for this boy as well! Super creamy, super delcious, fully delivers on all the garlicky glory. It was their only soup but I'd have another one to be frank. Didn't get a good picture of this sadly, but nice swirl presentation with the oil drizzle. Garlic frites - 5/5 This was probably the only dish I didn't think was garlic'ked to the high heavens, but it did have a nice light fry to them with a good and balanced seasoning to them. I'm not familiar with this cheese they use a lot of, but it does have a nice complexity to it without too much grease. The dip though, it was just beautiful with how smokey and much umami it had with a light citric bite at the end. Garlic's Burger - 4/5 The only critique I had with this was with the bun, which was unfortunately rather dry / thick compared to the burger itself. Otherwise it works pretty well in terms of composition as the buttery goodness of the roll blends with the rather tender patty (despite their 3oz. sizing they were remarkably tender even without much pink at all). The side we got was their caeser (option for fries or soup alternative). Very creamy (and garlicky, as promised by the name). Hot and smokey fettucine - 5/5 It was nothing like I imagined it when I ordered it, but remarkably creative as it was rather far from typical italian that I've had. Technique wise it was top notch, which edged it closer to a thai or chinese dry noodle stir fry without any obvious sauce base (afaik just oil and spicy pepper). Very solid amount of heat as a good medium for the spicy-minded, which is surprising given that it's the only item on the menu marked spicy. Flavor-wise the chicken came out closer to what I'd imagine sausage to be at with how smokey it tasted, but with a nice aroma to it from browning the noodles and garlic.

Despite that, we decided to stay hoping it will not take long to get food, eat and go. The server was very nice, he provided us details on current specials and have us time to decide. I believe they change menu seasonally as some of the items I did see online were not on the menu. I went with the wild mushroom Flatbread and husband got their burger with fries. Food came out pretty quickly and it was delicious. The Flatbread had a nice and strong mushroom'y flavor, fries were fresh and nicely seasoned and the burger was amazing. The sauce that they gave worn the fries was delicious. You could really taste that the food is higher quality. We also got two cheesecakes to go (espresso and vanilla with berries) but these were a disappointment. Not sure if because they were in the car for 3h (I still put them in the fridge for 30 minutes before we ate them) or they are just not the best. Not sure. They were also very tiny pieces for the price. The entire dinner was on a pricey side but we enjoyed our and I would recommend this place for a date night or if you want to get something more high end.

Based on reviews, we decided to stop at this wonderful restaurant in this charming (and hopping) neighborhood. The food was excellent! We especially enjoyed the beef bourguignon and the brie en croûte (although the brie could have been just a bit more melted). My oat latte was superb. But the thing that made our visit particularly special was the service. I called ahead to see if they had a patio so we could dine with our dog. I was told that although they have a sidewalk patio, it was closed because of inclement weather, but if we were willing to chance the weather, they would set up a table outside so we would be able to dine with our pup. We showed up and they pulled a table outside, and the server was a good sport about serving us in very windy weather. At least the rain stayed away!

During peak times, it may be difficult to find a seat but they do open up fairly quickly. The service here is amazing, they're super attentive and nice which is a big plus. In terms of their food, their cruffins are TO DIE FOR - I absolutely love them to death. They rotate their flavours and every single one I've had has been phenomenal. Admittedly, difficult to eat which the sugar coating on the croissant mixed with the custard inside but still so so good that it's worth the mess. I do wish it was served warmed which would take it to the next level! The sandwiches are surprisingly good as well. My favourite is the ham and Swiss. It is very filling and I love how much they pack into the sandwich (especially how much Dijon they put in it hehe). In terms of the coffee, it was decent. I was expecting more bold flavours to come out and taste the richness but unfortunately I could not. Maybe I had too high of expectations for the coffee after tasting the pastries and food but regardless, it was still decent coffee. Overall though, this place is an amazing place to sit down, eat, read, study, and catch up with friends! I definitely will be coming back and trying more of their items :)

It seemed as though the daily specials are available until they sell out; perhaps a regular diner could confirm this. They looked good, but we were late, so we settled for pickings from the standard menu. Options include soups, salads ($4.65-$10), sandwiches and burgers ($9.50-$13), lunch bowls ($11-12.50) and all-day breakfast (actually just breakfast and lunch, so it's a pretty short day!). The beverage selection is extensive, including coffee, tea, smoothies, sodas that I haven't seen elsewhere in London, iced coffee, juices and more. All of the coffee and tea selections were under $5. There is a self-serve water station which is a nice touch; probably easier on staff, too. I appreciated their attempts to avoid single-use utensils and dinnerware. The only disposable waste were the paper napkins and the receipt. Food came out quickly and it really hit the spot. Good-sized portions were tasty and as described.
