Innis & Gunn Mangoes on the Run IPA

Craft Farmacy is a gem of a place. They boast a generous selection of beers - highly recommend the Innis & Gunn Mangoes on the Run IPA - and wines, as well as a highly qualitative food menu. My husband and I shared a delicious fried cauliflower appetizer. He then had their burger, and I indulged in the bone marrow as a main. Both were absolutely exquisite, with what tasted like carefully sourced ingredients. High marks for our waiter Corey (apologies if I got the spelling wrong), the epitome of friendliness and professionalism. He advised us exceedingly well on the wine side of things and our orders came in quickly. Definitely one of my top three restaurants, and as a former UK Londoner and current Montrealer, I couldn't be more impressed.

Chorizo Hash for brunch!

Hands down one of the best brunches I've had in A LONG time! The space is bright and airy, the service was quick and friendly, the Caesar was delicious and the food was outstanding! Better yet, the coffee was good too!!! I had the hardest time choosing what I was going to eat. There's many options and they all look good. I love that brunch starts with fresh scones. The raisin and vanilla ones were delicious. Im keeping this short and sweet because you need to go. Right now. Hopefully it's Sunday at 11. K bye!

Finally glad I tried this place. Flavours are unreal. Drinks were pricey, but good! Service was fantastic. The interior was gorgeous and tables were spaced out. If you haven't been, you have to try it out!

We had a fantastic dinner - think we've found our new clubhouse. We were with a large group, so sampled lots of shareable plates, including a glorious seafood tower, cheddar and charcuterie boards, and warm olives. They have some excellent craft cocktails and an extensive beer and wine list. Ambiance is casual and cozy, and the service was great, especially given that we were a group of 12 on a busy night. I had a steak entree and my wife had the trout. Both were phenomenal. Highly recommended new spot, we'll be back!

Duck poutine

We were greeted and seated as soon as we entered the restaurant. Even though we had made a reservation, we were given the choice of 3 tables, which we really appreciated. We ordered two cocktails to start. I had the Flora Mexican which was amazing! it was floral, a little sweet, a little sour and just the perfect amount of yum. I loved it. My husband had the Improved Whisky Cocktail. It was also very good, with Rye, Maraschino and a nice hit of Absinthe. We decided to share some items from the crudo part of the menu. We had the salmon carpaccio which came with squid ink crackers and some lovely little pickled items. It was outstanding. We had the tuna tataki which also had lots of little pickled items and was amazing, but for me the actual tuna stole the show. The last item we ordered was the venison tartare. OMG, it was fabulous. The flavour of the venison was wonderful and the chili and capers just added so much to the dish. The cured egg yolk shaved on top gave it a subtle hint of saltiness. Everything was fantastic. The service was great and the ambience was too. We will most definitely be back when we return to London. Highly recommend this place.

This new Wolfe spot has been open for less than four months. Look for the wolf door knocker! We…read morecouldn't figure out why there was a line out the door and into the cold for Little Bird when CB stood half-empty literally next door. Maybe people haven't cottoned onto it yet; maybe this review will help. It's located in the old Village Harvest bakery; so nice to see a spot that has a sentimental pull for residents now filled. It was sad to see it empty. There's a gym upstairs, should you feel the need to work off whatever nutritional damage you do downstairs. The décor is dark and moody, with oxblood banquettes and booths. Other seating options include the bar and tables. The music is a mix of mid-century standards through Motown with modern tunes thrown in for good measure. Black-and-white photos of Nina Simone, Nat King Cole and Johnny Cash add to the been-here-forever vibe. We popped in for lunch and were lucky enough to get Alannah as our server. She went the extra mile to make sure that I found something that I could eat. Unfortunately, it's a very small menu, and I wasn't much in the mood for animal-protein, so my options were limited. My guest very much enjoyed the Company club ($14); it was a big portion, enough to bring home for another meal. He choose the warm potato salad as as side, priced just right at $4. He tried the Mountain Lager ($6) as well. I had the steak cut fries ($4) and side green salad with herbs ($4). I would order it without the dill next time. I hasten to add that most people could find something that suits here if they don't have my allergies. They have seafood, terrestrial and vegan options. The latter includes inventive dishes such as the pulled tofu sandwich ($11). Wines by the glass start at $12, which is reasonable these days in London. Had I wanted a cocktail, then the white negroni (oxymoronic, I know) looked appealing ($14). They offer selections of tequilas, espressos (espressi?) and whiskeys. We are happy to have this resto in the neighbourhood, and will return soon.

I was so excited that yet another joint was popping up just a short distance from my house. A proper bar any millennial would adore. From Instagram worthy drinks to the dark, vibey decor, this is a REALLY cool spot. We only went in for drinks but the food menu made my mouth water. My boyfriend got the 'Where There's Smoke, There's Fire' which came in a smoke filled bell jar. I've seen this done before so I wasn't blown away by any means, but it is pretty cool, specially if you're doin it for the 'gram. I got the Reign in Blood which was SUPER cool and creative. This blood-red drink arrived in this beautiful chalice-like glass and the salt rim down the side looked like fangs. I felt like a true vampire and I drank that sh** up. Our drinks were great! So what gives? It all came down to service. I'm not sure if our waiter was having a rough go of it or what, but he was Kurt. No...sorry, his name wasn't Kurt...he WAS curt. We tried to joke with him but nothing was landing. He was swift to pull the menu from my hands as we finished ordering. Something about the whole experience was just...off. What could have been a great night out was sadly tainted. Regardless of this experience, I really do encourage you to make a visit to Company Bar. Please, enjoy the delicious libations that await you there. I will definitely be giving this spot another chance...and hopefully Kurt will be more than happy to take our order. :)

We ordered beet salad, artichoke dip, crab cakes, Kang's fiery pork and Smokey BBQ lime chicken. All of the dishes were categorized as appetizers but they were main dish sizes! It's hard to imagine with $30+ per person, you can enjoy a fancy meal with attentive service these days. Unlike many other restaurants in GTA, this place doesn't charge you money for bread and the quality is so good. I really like the soft butter with good scent. The beet salad with goat was quite refreshing. The artichoke dip was flavourful too. The pork is tender and flavourful (spicy). Strongly recommend these three dishes. I didn't like the crab cake which doesn't have much crab flavour and the texture of which is weird too. The chicken is dry too. The server was offering to replace our chicken dish with something else when he heard the dish was so-so (although we didn't ask him to switch it). We were so satisfied with the environment and service here that we wanted to revisit during the rest of our trip if they were opening on those days. It'll definitely be my number one dinner choice when I'm revisiting London.

They still need to add sound deadening pads to the ceiling, but it wasn't too busy, so I could hear my date. service was ok, but we ran late due to conversation, and felt pushed to go. at least i wasn't called hunny this time.
