Pretty positive experience here at Winks. We came here on Monday night for 79c wings. There was a Paint Nite event going on, but plenty of seats nonetheless. We ordered wings in honey garlic, garlic parmesan, sweet thai chilli, and 40 creek whiskey bbq. I think the honey garlic was my favourite. I'd say 3lbs of wings is a good amount for two people, as they're pretty large on average. To accompany the wings, we ordered a piña colada and chocolate monkey. I think the piña colada was a little diluted, but both drinks were pretty tasty. My only complaint is that you're not allowed to take-out wings, so be careful of how much you order. Great pub to grab a drink with friends! Plenty of patio space and seating inside. Not too crowded! We had a huge group of people (16 people) and was able to fit everyone comfortably inside at 4 socially distanced tables. Staff were super friendly. Winks also serves two drinks for the price of one! Whenever I go to Winks, I know I am going to have a pretty fun time. This is probably my favourite place to grab a drink with friends. Whether we are in our sweats after a game, or stopping in at the patio on a sunny Sunday afternoon, this place is always welcoming and lively. The crowd at Winks is mid-twenties to 30's so as a young professional, I feel like I fit in here. I find it is hard to find a spot in London that isn't catering to an older adult crowd or students. But Winks fits the bill nicely. Their food is quite good and they have good drink specials. I feel like some of their food specials could be expanded a bit more. For example, their "appy"-hour is from 4-7 and excludes certain apps that I like. That's just me being picky though. On Wednesday nights they host a trivia night which is a lot of fun. It starts at 8:30 and tables fill up quickly. They have lots of TV's for the hockey game and there is karaoke some nights as well. read more

Last nights service warrants five stars. Our server was fast, extremely friendly and just fantastic. She was attentive to our needs and frequently checked up on us. This is my go-to spot downtown for drinks or bar-type food. It's very consistent - I know I'm always going to get a good meal and a decent portion. If someone is looking for a quick, casual, cheap spot for food, this is usually what I recommend. In the past I've had the occasional sub-par meal, but I find those things have all since been removed from the menu. They are always adding new things or special menus as well, but all my old favourites have stuck around. I almost always go for specials - 69 cent wings on Monday are some of the best in town. Honey garlic, dry cajun, or sweet thai chili are all amazing. You need to buy a drink to get that price, but it doesn't need to be alcohol. I also love the half price quesadilas on Wednesdays, which look small but are actually quite filling, especially if you add pulled pork. They do half-price apps 4-7, but it's not all apps, only selected ones. I'd also recommend the mexican fries (sinful) which you can get as a meal (huge, you might die) or a side, or the crispy thai chicken wrap. Sweet potato fries are always great, and I can never choose if I want sweet or regular and almost always choose wrong. I haven't had a burger or breakfast in awhile but I used to order them all the time and I remember nothing but good things. Service and food are usually fast, though when it's busy they can get overwhelmed and it can be significantly slower. Restaurant itself is alright, nothing fancy. They have late night bingo or shows, the few times I've been it's been EXTREMELY busy for those. Dinner hour is usually fairly busy but there's always somewhere to sit. I've been a few times late at night on weekends when there is a line to get in. They do have TVs, and a fireplace - don't sit by the window because it gets EXTREMELY hot over there when the sun is out. read more

My favourite downtown place for a pint. I am there at least once a month and usually a Thursday for their vodka special! A casual atmosphere (jeans) and a diverse enough clientele that you'll find students (sometimes taking out their parents) late 20, early 30 somethings etc... Besides being a great little bar, you can grab breakfast, dinner or lunch on their newly renovated patio. Ask what the soup of the day is (last time it was dill pickle and it was MUCH better and milder than it sounds!!). The burgers are popular and rightfully so. If you're looking for a spot to watch UFC get there early or you'll be standing. Sometimes there is live music (Thursdays and some weekends) full bands tend to be too loud there (my only complaint) Winks is one of the best, most comfortable places to relax with friends, have a "Big Wink" draft and not worry about impressing anyone or them trying to impress you. I tend to come here with my running group to enjoy a nice beer after a long run. The service has always been very friendly and our servers keep excellent tabs on who owes what; which is always helpful with large groups. It's a pub, so food choices follow that theme. Nice patio too. read more

I love Winks! Their food is delicious and reasonably priced. Fun atmosphere. They often have live music and more of nightlife scene after 10pm on weekends. You can always show up for a greasy hangover breakfast the next day and you won't be disappointed. No free public parking on site. read more

This place is great! Menu is diverse and awesome, food is great and portion size/value is great! The atmosphere is really casual which is refreshing for a rather snobbish Richmond Row and you're just looking to grab a beer or something to eat. AND, it's so versatile that I took my 8yr old there once on a cold week night in the evening before a show at the Grand because it was the closest non tie restaraunt around and he was able to get his favourite Kraft dinner with hot dogs in it! I have eaten at this restaurant on a number of occasions as it is very local to me. There has never been a visit that was not enjoyed going here but wanted to take the opportunity to give it a quick review. On this particular occasion I was there for opening at 11:00am. Note the time, as the advertising outside and the website both indicate that it is 10:00am so this is important. I debated on getting breakfast, but instead opted to start with a Caesar Salad and then had the Tai Chicken wrap. The server kept my coffee full, but as it appeared she was still opening the restaurant a little inattentive at times. I had eaten half my meal, and was waiting to have it boxed up for almost 10 minutes while she counted the cash for the till. When she did finally come over, I said I wanted to take the rest to go so that I had room to eat desert. Unfortunately, instead of coming back with a desert menu as I had expected she came back with the bill. The do still keep me coming back though, as they have lots of items on the menu I like, and enjoy it even more when the patio is open. I find the interior to be very busy, and at times tacky. They are also getting more and more TV's inside for the sports fan, so not sure if they are trying to make a change. read more
