Food Poisoning After Happy Hour Chicken Pasta - January 18 2026: This was honestly awful. My friend and I ate at Milestones Masonville on Jan 18 around 4 PM and both ordered the same chicken pasta from the happy hour menu. We did not eat anything else after. About 2 hours later, both of us started feeling sick. By the night, it turned into serious nausea and nonstop diarrhea. Between 9 PM and 3 AM, I was stuck in the bathroom 5 times and threw up. My friend had the exact same symptoms and was in the bathroom 4 times. There is absolutely no doubt the food made us sick. Same dish, same timing, same symptoms. This is textbook food poisoning, and it's unacceptable from a place like this. This completely ruined our night and left us feeling miserable. Management seriously needs to look into their food safety, especially whatever was going on with that chicken. People shouldn't get sick like this after eating out. Milestones has always been a favourite of our family. It was a no brainer to celebrate my Mom's birthday here. There was 5 of us, and we were greeted by our server Jordan, who right away we noticed was very attentive and had a great personality. Jordan offered recommendations for drinks and got them out promptly. We had the sweet chilli chicken bites and spinach dip for apps which were excellent. Dinner the table had California spring salads, seafood spaghettini & portobello pasta. Everything was 10/10. Seeing as it was my moms birthday, my sister let Jordan know at the beginning of the meal. He asked if she liked cheesecake or chocolate (she likes both) so naturally he brought out a chocolate cheesecake. But to top it all off, he has cut out the letter "B" in an ice cream sandwich (her name is Beckie) and had a sparkler on the whole dessert. Milestones has undergone quite a few changes, knocking down the rating from what it definitely used to be. --- Food --- I ordered the Crispy Asian Chicken Bites, as I usually have in the past. They have altered the recipe to include "crispy wonton" which absolutely do not go with the meal. The sweet potato fries are still slightly above average. --- Service --- They serve one half of the table first, which really isn't a problem for me, as we were a large group of 10+. The service is alright, nothing to write home about. --- Overall --- I used to really enjoy this place, but it's definitely gone downhill. Here's the thing about Milestone's, they have a waiter who vaguely reminds me of Saturday Night Live personality Pete Davidson. By that, I mean he was kind of there but not really. Everything we needed was asked for and met with a "be right back." He was not right back. The food was pretty good, but I'm messy, so that's a solid one of five. They have us a pretty solid seat with some sunshine, so that's two. Pete Davidson was nice enough to get one more. The other two marks are lost somewhere between asking two waiters three times for vinegar, and waiting ten minutes for my free refill. Excellent meal here after long shopping excursion. We were seated immediately and restaurant about half full -- but it was a Monday night so to be expected. I had their signature peach Bellini. Nice, but sweet. I ordered the prime rib. Menu description is lacking -- it comes with potato AND veg but they don't mention the veg in the menu. Consequently I ordered side mushrooms, and then it was just too much food. Speaking of, smallest portion was 10oz where most places have 8oz option. But other than being too large a portion it was a nice mid rare, the onion rings were lightly tempuraed and yummy. Mushrooms were good but had spicy sauce on them. Green beans were a little overdone, mashed potatoes a little under. Mom had their new butternut squash ravioli which looked amazing! They added peppers and apple and goat cheese to the brown butter sage sauce. The plate was stunning and she said the additions improved the dish. Our waiter, Tyler, was very good. This place is kind of a hit or miss with me personally. While I love their curly fries, and fresh menu selection, it's really their tempermental wait staff that deters my business. During all three of my visits, I have have 3 male waitors. The first was excellent, and very 'on top' of things. I ordered the beet and goat cheese salad (something I had been craving for months) while bf got the burger. Both were delicious. If my rating was dependent on that visit alone, all would have been well. It was the second visit that really got me. We were seated right away, and the waitor took our drink order. I suppose I should have handcuffed him to the booth, because he didn't return to take our order for 30 minutes. I mean, I get it, it's busy, but with at least 5 other waitors in the floor, 30 minutes is a bit ridiculous. After ordering, it took another 40 minutes to get the food. While this wouldn't have peeved me so much, because sometime the kitchen is booked, it wasn't the kitchen. Having a clear view into the kitchen, I had seen our food ready to be delievered 20 minutes beforehand. If I had known so, I would have gotten it myself. 20 minutes after finishing our meal, we ordered dessert, and that was probably the only thing he delivered promptly (probably because it was ice cream based). Everytime someone mentioned Milestones after that, I would flinch at the idea of going back and possibly having the face him My more recent visit was very promising. Milestones Masonville is a consistently 4 star restaurant. Their service, food and overall feel is always good, but never great. It is the type of place that survives on the fact that it has a good location and clientele. If you go you won't be disappointed, but don't expect anything special. Their steak salad and seafood salad are good, and they use Walter's Caesar mix which leads to a truly kick a** Caesar. The smoked salmon appetizer is also good, though I have found the portion to be inconsistent between visits. A long time ago they had the best mini sliders, though sadly they seem to have left the menu. **Update: if you can, Wednesday is definitely the night to go. They feature a "date night" menu for two, with choice of one app, two entrees and one desert for $50, quite a deal. You also get $5 off a bottle of wine with that deal, if you so choose. The portobello mushroom chicken was really good and I would for sure recommend it. It's also big enough for two meals. Though a tad tough, the sirloin was juicy and very flavourful. read more

I recently organized a family dinner for 15 people, and we choose the private dining room at Milestones at Masonville. First off, the option of booking the private dining room which seats up to 18, at no extra cost is amazing. It's a much better way to have a large group - over multiple tables. Being separate from the main dining room made conversation easier. Our waiter was amazing, and took excellent care of our party. The food was terrific, every one received their order at the same time, and everyone enjoyed their meal. Personally I had a steak (rare) that was incredible. It was tender, cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious. Other items people had were the chicken mushroom pasta, fish tacos, chicken Parmesan and burgers. They also allowed us to bring in our own dessert ( a special cake- as we were celebrating my in-laws wedding anniversary). There was no charge to bring in the dessert and they cut and served it for us. All in all, we had a great time, the food and service was excellent, and I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again. read more

My friend and I ordered a burger and sandwich which came with spring salad and french fries. The french fries were so soggy. When we mentioned it to a server, she said, "Our fries are usually soggy. can we substitue it with anything?" I was disappointed with that response. My spring salad was not fresh. The leaves were going bad and black at the ends. My main dish? their signature chicken and cheese sandwich came out cold. It has been sitting for a while before it came out. I have been to this place several times in the past few years, usually because it is located conveniently on the side of the mall. The food is okay. I don't have anything terrible to say about the food, but I do think it is extremely overpriced for what you get. This has become even more noticeable recently, as all of the prices have gone up. You'll find yourself paying a lot of money for a pretty average dining experience. While the food is okay, the service is pretty bad. When I was there a few days ago, the restaurant wasn't anywhere near being busy and I waited a very long time to get my food. We waited about 15 minutes for the waitress to come to the table, another 15 minutes to actually get our drinks and place our order, and then about 40 more minutes for the food. All of this was concluded with a long wait for the bill. I wanted to kill about two hours before seeing a movie, and I was nearly late to the movie because of how slow the service was. We didn't order anything complicated, either. I was seated in a place where I could see through the window into the kitchen, and they were literally moving in slow motion. They didn't appear to be very shortstaffed, either. The table next to me also canceled their order after waiting an hour. read more

Great place for our Book Club's final hurrah! And we kept up with the Jays game to boot. Really enjoyed the 'Date Night' menu, including the $5 off a bottle of wine. I love their food. But the service is lacking. We decided to go on New Year's Eve for dinner. It was very busy, which is fine. They told me beforehand when I made reservation that it would be a limited menu. They weren't joking! Only 4 main courses to choose from. I asked for a medium steak, it was completely raw, still bleeding, I got fries instead of rice, but I dealt with it. The menu was not clear at all, said $50 for shareable starter(for 2) and the main course. At the end of the night we got slammed with a bill for $150, WAAY to expensive for what we got. Turned out it was $50 per person NOT per couple as the menu would lead u to believe. Then plus overpriced drinks. We complained to the manager about the lack of communication in the menu regarding pricing, as well as the food being subpar, the manager just said sorry, and did nothing else, no discount for next time, no nothing. I feel like I'm the wrong person to be reviewing a restaurant like Milestones, because I don't like fancy expensive food and I don't understand trendy restaurants. For that reason, I have never even thought about going to Milestones until a friend had a birthday dinner there. We were a big table of 10. We booked a reservation for 7pm and the table was finally ready at 7:30pm because the group in front of us wouldn't leave and it's not like the restaurant could kick them out. Understandable but why couldn't they just find us a different table? The restaurant wasn't even busy at that point. Anyway, we finally get our table and we took our seats. The restaurant is trendy and has a hipster feel. Our waiter was extremely kind and funny, which is always great. The menu had absolutely nothing I liked written on it, and everything was so overpriced. Literally everyone got something they didn't even want because no one liked the menu. The food also took forever to come out, yes we were a large group, but still, 1 hour is long enough. When the food finally came, only 9 orders came out. The waiter said the last person's meal is on their way and that it would take 15 minutes. Of all the 10 people, just guess who's meal came last. Yup, THE BIRTHDAY GIRL. My poor friend sat with nothing in front of her on her special day while the rest of us awkwardly ate. I got chicken waffles for $19 which was pretty tasty, but some of the people did not enjoy their meals at all. Sure enough, after 15 minutes of watching everyone else eat, birthday girl finally got her food. Would I return to Milestones? Maybe Should you try Milestones? I went to the Masonville Milestones location with my boyfriends family and not only did we wait an hour and a half to be seated, which was understandable, but we had to wait another hour for our food because our bill was some how lost. When we got the food the 3 steaks were cold as well as the quinoa and the baked potatoes. We ordered the pasta for the 2 year old with us and while the pasta was warm, it arrived 10 minutes later than the other three meals. Other than my food being cold it was still very good, but wasn't as good as it would've been if it was warm. The manager was very helpful gave us free desserts and covered our entrée but for my first experience at a milestones I wasn't impressed and most likely will not be returning. read more
