Onion Rings (after more than a few were eaten)
    Rachel S.

This is a go-to spot for my family since my dad loves it so much and a well known place here in London. Our waitress was very polite and attentive. Refills were done when needed without having to ask (which is always nice). We had onion rings to start and they were fresh out of the fryer! Super delicious. I had the Build Your Own Burger with lettuce, pickles and processed cheese (cheese slice melty-ness is perfect for burgers) on a Kaiser bun. The burger was cooked perfectly and tasted really good. I got a caesar salad as my side but it was really tiny for $1.99 extra. It, also, had waaay too much dressing on it. Wish I had the fries instead. My parents got the Chicago Clubs and said they were really tasty. May need to try this next time I come! Overall it was a satisfying meal and I will definitely be back.

Love How Kools !!! Thanks for the great food and service !!

Good food and drinks. Would have a better rating but waitress was awful. It wasn't busy but she didn't come around much and wasn't friendly.

Not my go-to bar in London, but it does have history. I'll drop in with some friends every once in a while.

We ordered beet salad, artichoke dip, crab cakes, Kang's fiery pork and Smokey BBQ lime chicken. All of the dishes were categorized as appetizers but they were main dish sizes! It's hard to imagine with $30+ per person, you can enjoy a fancy meal with attentive service these days. Unlike many other restaurants in GTA, this place doesn't charge you money for bread and the quality is so good. I really like the soft butter with good scent. The beet salad with goat was quite refreshing. The artichoke dip was flavourful too. The pork is tender and flavourful (spicy). Strongly recommend these three dishes. I didn't like the crab cake which doesn't have much crab flavour and the texture of which is weird too. The chicken is dry too. The server was offering to replace our chicken dish with something else when he heard the dish was so-so (although we didn't ask him to switch it). We were so satisfied with the environment and service here that we wanted to revisit during the rest of our trip if they were opening on those days. It'll definitely be my number one dinner choice when I'm revisiting London.

Definitely do better on that because its a great app which i get every time i come. Our entrees were amazing. I don't know if they got a new chef, but I was blown away by the tenderlion i had. My date had a chicken entree and absolutely loved it. They still need to add sound deadening pads to the ceiling, but it wasn't too busy, so I could hear my date. service was ok, but we ran late due to conversation, and felt pushed to go. at least i wasn't called hunny this time.

Everyone loved their food and I've heard several people say that it's their new favourite restaurant. Our waitress was Christina and we were all impressed. She was so kind and very helpful. My daughter-in-law & I both have food allergies so she made sure to point out what we could eat. She had another table to take care and yet she didn't get flustered or make us feel that she was in a rush. It was definitely a wonderful experience. Billie Jo G.

The main problem was the very slow service. I wish we had timed the period between getting drinks (from a very limited Pepsi-based non-alcoholic selection) and when our server returned to take our order. It was probably a full 15 minutes, during which there were no interactions at all with wait staff. When she finally came back, she acted like she had just left, with no apology. After the food was delivered (in a reasonable amount of time) by other staff members, our server reappeared one more time and I finally got a refill of my empty glass (probably 10 minutes empty). Then, no more visits until we flagged her down for the check. Then the funny part: My daughter was almost out of Pepsi and the server asked if she wanted a refill. My daughter said, "Yes, could I get a to-go cup?" Instead of bringing a regular new cup of Pepsi, the server brought back a small plastic cup, barely larger than a Dixie cup, for my daughter to pour the watered-down remains of Pepsi from her regular glass into. No "to-go drink" was offered besides that. And it was just a fountain Pepsi! The whole experience was just frustrating. They were badly short-staffed, but no one acknowledged how long everything was taking. What keeps it out of 1-star territory is that the food was solid. Not the greatest ever, but if the service were decent, I probably would have rated the whole thing highly. I got the chicken curry and it was good.

Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on the corner of Dundas and Talbot is this gem. It's pretty much a sports bar with a stage for when there's live music or a DJ present! You have to stay tuned to their social media pages and website for that information. Once in the door you're brought immediately to the bar area which is pretty big and full of giant TVs all over the place. As you make your way further into the restaurant you'll walk past the complimentary popcorn machine and leave the bar area as you enter the main dining room. Further back is where the live music would be. It wasn't terribly loud, but it seemed like it may have been a slow night. Service: Mia took excellent care of me. She was sweet, fast, thorough and made sure that I had everything that I needed! Jay is also the owner so be sure to say hi to him. Food: Throughout my 2 visits here to Fitzray's I was able to try several things, so I'll break them down individually. Here goes. Strip Steak Appetizer: So this is a New York strip cut and sautéed with garlic butter and red wine then served with a garlic aioli as well as a chipotle sauce. The steak was very tender, seasoned well and the sauces were perfect complements to the steak. Fish & Chips: So this is 6 oz. of beer-battered haddock loin on a bed of fries. Classic. I LOVED this dish more than I expected to. This place is actually known for this dish and I see why. The fish was super flakey, flavorful and there isn't much more to say. It's such a simple straightforward dish that's done so well. Maple Bacon Dry Rub Wings: So the wings here are breaded, like a THICK, fluffy breading that I wouldn't normally enjoy, but it didn't bother me on any of the wings. These were crispy, the meat fell off the bone and these tasted like if the syrup from your pancakes or waffles touched your bacon. Lol. I hope that makes sense. Hot Honey Wings: These were Mia's favorite flavor so I had to try these out. These was a lot of good Buffalo flavor right up front with just a bit of sweetness on the back end that was a supporting character in this wing's story. Suicide Wings: So this is the HOTTEST flavor that the restaurant offers. The heat comes in a little late and continues to build for a LONG time. These are no joke, but I could handle them. Lol. Deliciously saucy. Mango Habanero Dry Rub Wings: Super flavorful, smokey, peppery, spicy with a good fruity flavor. Value: Excellent. It's pub fare, so it's not meant to be super expensive here, but the drinks will certainly sneak up on you. You can also get a pound of wings for $9.00 CAD during their #WingWednesday special which runs all day and again on Sundays. You can also get that same deal every night after 8:00pm. In conclusion, I loved this place and I'm very happy that I had the opportunity to check this place out. I can see myself stopping back in to try some more things in the future when I visit the area again. Thank you for reading.

Make sure the menu is written properly and the staff are trained on it. Literally your only job is to know that menu front to back and bring it to me after I've ordered.
