(Last visited 2/2/2023.) While working in London I heard some talk of good wings in the area and Fitzray's came up! So I made sure to make my way here to check these guys out! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on the corner of Dundas and Talbot is this gem. It's pretty much a sports bar with a stage for when there's live music or a DJ present! You have to stay tuned to their social media pages and website for that information. Once in the door you're brought immediately to the bar area which is pretty big and full of giant TVs all over the place. As you make your way further into the restaurant you'll walk past the complimentary popcorn machine and leave the bar area as you enter the main dining room. Further back is where the live music would be. It wasn't terribly loud, but it seemed like it may have been a slow night. Service: Mia took excellent care of me. She was sweet, fast, thorough and made sure that I had everything that I needed! Jay is also the owner so be sure to say hi to him. Food: Throughout my 2 visits here to Fitzray's I was able to try several things, so I'll break them down individually. Here goes. Strip Steak Appetizer: So this is a New York strip cut and sautéed with garlic butter and red wine then served with a garlic aioli as well as a chipotle sauce. The steak was very tender, seasoned well and the sauces were perfect complements to the steak. Fish & Chips: So this is 6 oz. of beer-battered haddock loin on a bed of fries. Classic. I LOVED this dish more than I expected to. This place is actually known for this dish and I see why. The fish was super flakey, flavorful and there isn't much more to say. It's such a simple straightforward dish that's done so well. Maple Bacon Dry Rub Wings: So the wings here are breaded, like a THICK, fluffy breading that I wouldn't normally enjoy, but it didn't bother me on any of the wings. These were crispy, the meat fell off the bone and these tasted like if the syrup from your pancakes or waffles touched your bacon. Lol. I hope that makes sense. Hot Honey Wings: These were Mia's favorite flavor so I had to try these out. These was a lot of good Buffalo flavor right up front with just a bit of sweetness on the back end that was a supporting character in this wing's story. Suicide Wings: So this is the HOTTEST flavor that the restaurant offers. The heat comes in a little late and continues to build for a LONG time. These are no joke, but I could handle them. Lol. Deliciously saucy. Mango Habanero Dry Rub Wings: Super flavorful, smokey, peppery, spicy with a good fruity flavor. Value: Excellent. It's pub fare, so it's not meant to be super expensive here, but the drinks will certainly sneak up on you. You can also get a pound of wings for $9.00 CAD during their #WingWednesday special which runs all day and again on Sundays. You can also get that same deal every night after 8:00pm. In conclusion, I loved this place and I'm very happy that I had the opportunity to check this place out. Nothing bad to say for the handful of times I've been, food seems to be consistent other than the waitress arguing with me that hot honey is the same as fire and ice/hot and honey garlic. Ordered hot honey wings thinking that's what I would get and it was hot and honey garlic. NOT hot honey. NOT the same thing but the staff seem to believe it is. Also I've never seen a restaurant put "hot and honey garlic" on their menu let alone call it by the wrong name.. If somebody wants two sauces mixed they will ask for it, you don't add it to the menu. Make sure the menu is written properly and the staff are trained on it. Literally your only job is to know that menu front to back and bring it to me after I've ordered. Next they are going to tell me Cesar salad and a Cesar drink are the same thing. read more

I was here a couple of nights ago to meet up some friends. The time that I arrived the apps were half price. For the price it's not that bad. I ended up ordering the Pirogies and the po boy shrimp cocktail. I've been here before and ordered other things. If I come here again I will order the apps. read more

Fitzray's - American Near Me - London, Ontario

I won't be going back to this place. Their current dinner menu had no vegetarian options aside from soup, salad (garden), and a couple apps. I ordered the traditional pierogies which came to my surprise topped with bacon (which was not in the menu description). The waitress then told me that there was lots of vegetarian options on the menu (which after double checking none of the things she mentioned were actually on there). We waited easily 15 minutes after we were done our meal for the bill. My husband enjoyed his meal, but the pierogies were dry and not good at all. read more

Great bar, been here a few times for St Patty's day and got right shitfaced, both times being cut off. - It's nice to know the bartenders do their job and keep an eye on what and how much the patrons drink. Both times I was cut off, I just drank coffee or water & pop until I left. The food is good and comes out fairly quickly. The one thing that needs to be changed though is the volume level whenever there's a live show. It's just TOO loud. This is quite common with small bars like this however. read more

They have daily deals, which was perfect on Monday when we wandered in and burgers were $7. The burgers themselves were seasoned really nicely and they toasted the bun perfectly, which I really appreciate. The fries were nicely seasoned and perfectly crispy, some of the best restaurant fries I have had in a while. Unfortunately, the meat on the burger was well WELL done, cooked so thoroughly that they were just dry. This was really unfortunate since you can just tell that if it was cooked to that perfect medium rare, medium area, it would have been a fantastic burger. Also, my husband asked for a little ranch which they gave him a side of. What they didn't inform us of until we got the bill was the fact that they charge a ludicrous $1.25 for about a shot of ranch. Terrible service, unprofessional as usual... Sat down, after 10 minutes had to go to the bar for drinks. Then watched as the server working the floor walked past our table at least 4 times without ever asking if we needed anything, while the bartenders looked on. Won't be back. read more

I was in your establishment this afternoon for lunch with a group of co-workers. We only had about a half hour for lunch and your staff was kind enough to allow us to preorder. When we arrived our food came out within a minute of sitting down and the bacon cheeseburger I had was absolutely fantastic! In believe my co-workers enjoyed their food as well. Your staff was very friendly and professional and was quick to bring the check when we were done, which we appreciated. read more

Stopped in the other night before going to the London Music Hall. Everything was all right. Housemade vegan burger: Good, not great. Caesar salad: Good, not great. Service: Good, not great. Prices: Average. While there was nothing to complain about in our experience, there was also nothing to rave about. Tried to get a beer before the knights game I was standing at the bar right at the taps with a 20 in my hand didn't even get a look my way. when I asked a server for a beer she ignored me the took the order of the gentleman beside me. Never been so disrespect in a pub. read more
